Like the Chargers are a soft defense. Bosa may not play but they still have Melvin Ingram. One of the worst parts of last year’s decision to start Peterman vs these Chargers was giving a rookie his first start on the road vs that defense. This past Sunday, Peterman wasn’t blocking poorly, dropping passes and letting Ravens receivers run free all over the field. With this season’s schedule though, there may not be a good game for Allen’s first start. This week’s home opener may be just as good as any.

Yeah, a woman’s voice just doesn’t do it for me for men’s sports. When The SF Giants opened their new stadium, they chose a woman as their PA announcer. The first year she wasn’t very good plus it was weird adjusting to a woman's voice. She’s gotten a lot better and still doing it some 25 years later. Across the Bay, the A’s PA announcer is like the voice of god.

There have been many times a QB throws a pick six in his 1st start. It’s like their rite of passage.

No matter how bad Allen plays, they should keep him for 2 or 3 years to see if he improves. Even Denver kept Paxton Lynch for 2 years.

I agree with everything you said. They didn’t show McD but he should’ve been yelling for a penalty, which it should’ve been. Even the announcers said “Nothing for that?”

What was your opinion when the Bills redid McCoy's contract? I didn't like it at the time but fortunately it worked out. His contract goes thru the 2019 season so hopefully he doesn't have a sharp decline. He seems to be a decent value at just under $9M for this season.

Every school used to play 10 regular season games, then it increased to 11. Then, in the late 90s, when one of the BCS’s excuses for not having a playoff was the extra games for the student athletes, they increased to 12. Add the conference playoffs, bowl games and the playoffs and it’s even more. For the 2017 season, Georgia played in the SEC championship and got to the national championship game ended up playing 15 games while Alabama played 14.

That’s my ultimate hope. A pipe dream would be that they move up to the Big Ten and compete nationally but, even if that happened, I’ll probably be gone from the earth by then.
