An interesting format to evaluate the Bills foundation
Rubes replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
The problem with a system like this is that the different colors are not exclusive enough. Someone can be good and an age/injury concern at the same time. Someone can be young and unproven and also good. -
Bills official offseason Cap moves thread.
Rubes replied to SoonerBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think you’re right about Tre. It’s tough, because we all love him and how he has been a great rep for the team. But if you take emotion out of it, keeping him around doesn’t make a lot of sense for the future of the team. Coming back from an Achilles injury is not easy. It takes a lot of time, and his chances of getting back to his old level of play are not good. Especially when you consider his position is one that requires top speed and cutting ability, neither of which he’ll likely have back anytime soon. Certainly not likely next season. If the Bills weren’t in such terrible cap shape, then maybe I can see them working something out. Given the way things are, I just don’t see it. And that sucks. -
I can't stand hearing the Shout song. I mean, I like hearing it because it means we scored, but yeah, I can't stand listening to it.

I came to post my response, then I found yours, which is exactly how I feel.

Bills Open With 4th Best Odds to Win Super Bowl Next Season
Rubes replied to Doc Brown's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree, I would just add that the special teams in general needs to get their ***** straight, not just Bass. -
I mean, it's not like he wasn't mentioned on the first page or anything... 😉

There are different kinds of prostate cancer. Most are slow growing, and you'll die of something else before you die of that. A small percentage are very aggressive, and very nasty. I still find it hard to believe that OJ once ran for 273 yards himself in a single game on Thanksgiving against the Lions...and the Bills somehow managed to lose the game.

Most disappointing, sure. But not the worst, not by a long shot.

Fun to read article from SportsDrop on each NFL team's best and worst QBs. Just remember, this is the guy our current coach picked to start at one point. Absolutely incredible how this guy ***** the bed when he got the big chance. There have been plenty of really bad QBs for the Bills over the years, but it's hard to argue with just how bad Peterman was when he took the field. Others you would argue were worse?

Honestly, me too. I keep thinking that, if they had converted that first down after the two-minute warning, forced KC to use their timeouts, and then scored a TD with seconds remaining, we would have been hailing that final drive as masterful and the overall strategy of beating KC as perfect. Sigh.

Good stuff, thanks. In the Buffalo News story today, Allen admits the ending of the Chiefs game is going to haunt him all offseason. 😟

What are your feelings on James Cook RB1
Rubes replied to BillMafia716ix's topic in The Stadium Wall
I have to say, he had the quietest "3rd in the league in yards from scrimmage" year I can recall. I wouldn't have guessed it after watching the season. -
Easy perhaps, but still nicely done.

The Most Embarrassing Day in Bills’ History
Rubes replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yep, the only one I got to attend. Bills started by blocking a Dallas punt, got the ball deep in Dallas territory, and scored a TD on the ensuing drive. They actually were leading in that game, 7-0. -
Love the writeups, @corta765. You have a good overall perspective on the conference.

Can't wait to see this place when Beane goes with a CB at 28...

A look at some 2023 Draft sleepers a year on....

I really appreciate it when people go back and look at prior reviews and predictions like this. Thanks, OP. -
Didn't look too hurt...

I really hate making light of concussions, but I must admit I really did LOL when I read this.

Isn't This Game the Ultimate Referendum on Beane?
Rubes replied to Rich Stadium Original's topic in The Stadium Wall
They're a 13-second collapse away from being 4-2 against the Chiefs the past few seasons, with 5 of those 6 games in KC. He's put together a roster that is proven to be competitive with KC, just not as much when playoff time comes, but with the odds against them given almost all of the games were on the road in a hostile environment. -

Kansas City at Buffalo in the Divisional Round!
Rubes replied to chongli's topic in The Stadium Wall
Same with any turnover. No cheering until it's clear (1) no flags, and (2) they confirm the guy actually got possession of the ball. -
