PR stunt? Hardly. He was signed to provide guidance for the young guys, especially Bishop, and it sounds like it has been effective so far. He can be a pull-cord-in-case-of-emergency guy as well, but we’re not quite at that point.

I said this last week before the Pats game but it bears repeating again now: this game will be a good measure of how the Bills defense will be prepared for the playoffs. If they can’t get up for this game and execute well at home with so much on the line against a 4-win team, it’s not a great predictor for January.

Broncos, Ravens, Chiefs - Can the Bills run through this gauntlet.

I'll have what he's having... -
I had the same experience. The interface totally made me believe I was going to be watching live from the start of the game, then after about 15 minutes I was like, "when is this game going to start?" which is when I realized I was watching the pregame crap. Missed the first two drives of the game. I was not pleased. Also, I kept going in and out of the game and when I'd come back, it would be the same thing—I'd get the impression I was going to watch "live", but each time the game came on I was back where I left off the last time and had to fast forward every time. Not a great look, Netflix.

Next week against the Jets should be their playoff rehearsal. Practice hard, get a good game plan, execute well, and destroy the Jets. Then you can rest in week 18 ready for the playoffs.

Perhaps, but that's what multiple years of watching a McDermott defense in the playoffs will do to you. -
Sounds a little bit like that last game against the Pats****...

Back on page 5, dude. Keep up! (and Merry Christmas!)

Just need a nice red stripe down its side…Go Bills

Sure, but just because KC wins it doesn’t mean we’re guaranteed the 2 seed. Still need to win one more.

Spencer Brown deserves his own thread.

12/22/24 GAMEDAY Week 15 Bills vs Patriots* Game day Thread
Rubes replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yep. Bills need to take care of business at home these next two games, which would guarantee the #2 seed. Then the last game of the season is either for the #1 seed (if the Chiefs lose) or for resting the starters. Can’t let up today or next week. -
Week 16 - Patriots at Bills Game Week Thread (Game at 4:25pm ET)

True also for the Pats****...this season is a loss for them, so it's all about next year. No desire to put Maye at risk for a big injury that could sideline him for most of next year as well. -
Name a player who is comparable to Josh Allen.....
Rubes replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree with this (Elway, not the Cylon). Elway was a special player and athlete that brought a ton to the table that no other QB had until then. I think the main difference between him and Josh is that Josh is a better and more effective runner. But it's hard to say if Elway would be that way if he played now...back then, I imagine most QBs didn't want to run as much because of the terrible beating they would take. -
Joe Brady needs to break this out in the playoffs in a key situation...

Almost sounded like Don Criqui had some money on the Seahawks in that game the way he announced that play. -

We usually don't have a RB lined up that far behind JA. He's much closer in order to give him a push. If we lined up with someone further back like that, it would probably be a giveaway...(not that it wouldn't work anyway)... -
I imagine like most Pats**** fans, once they started sucking he stopped paying attention to football.

Denver Broncos @ Los Angeles Chargers

I feel like someone just needs to tell me the most likely playoff seedings in the AFC after this. I'm too confused. -
Denver Broncos @ Los Angeles Chargers

Probably because they've watched this Bills defense the past couple of weeks. -
Seems that way, but weren't the officials supposed to be coming down on that this year?

Seriously. It's like Dion and the Bills are just begging the DE to dip inside and lose contain. Josh will take that any day of the week.

Week 16 - Patriots at Bills Game Week Thread (Game at 4:25pm ET)
Rubes replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree, but I'll also admit I was equally worried about the Lions runners. I mean, the Lions have one of the best running games in the league with that two-headed monster of theirs. But the Bills bottled them up from the start, and fortunately the Bills jumped out to a big enough lead that they somehow felt the need to abandon the run game. I honestly have no idea if the Bills defense is pretty good or absolute trash, or somewhere in between. That's why I'm looking forward to seeing how they do against a below-average offense. If they truly are trash, the Pats**** might give us headaches. If not, then we should see a dominating performance overall. -
Week 16 - Patriots at Bills Game Week Thread (Game at 4:25pm ET)
Rubes replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Will this be the week we learn what this Bills defense is really about? Hearing a lot about how the last two weeks are unsustainable for the Bills D, especially when you get into the playoffs. Also hearing about how the last two weeks weren't necessarily an accurate picture of the defense, since it was against a Rams offense playing a perfect game and operating at an elite level, and a Lions team that was playing largely from behind. Not sure I buy that. I have my concerns. This week the defense should have no problems against a below average Pats**** offense. But we also know that we split with them last year against a terrible QB, and both games against them were close. It should still be a Bills win—but how close it is really depends on the Bills defense. Are they really as bad as we've seen over the past couple of weeks? Or was it really just the context of those two games? We'll see... -
