Not here for debate. I made my observation. Josh needs to learn to hit those quick passes and put the defense back on its heels.. The running is a nice perk, but he is depending on it.. He needs to start hitting those 3 step quick passes with some consistency then the OL will look better the offense in general will look better.

Has the light finally gone on for Zay Jones?
ddaryl replied to KOKO NFL's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I notice Zay tries to catch the ball in his chest or gut, especially ion the drop.. You got to grab that football with the hands. Not try to cradle it in the gut He has gotten better this year, but still has lapses -
I like that Josh can run but its going to be his undoing if he doesn't learn to pass much better. As of now I keep seeing Josh take a step forward only to see him take 2 steps back as a passing QB. One moment I thinks its happening for him, and then he makes a few bone throws to offset it all. The drop by Zay was painful and could of been a difference maker though.... But As it stands right now I want a real QB competition. Because 2 with potential trumps one with potential IMO

Josh Allen turning non-believers into believers

OL is not horrible Its not great but its not horrible. Josh holds the ball way to long. I can see lots of QB's having more success with this team in general. However Josh has to learn so it s painful. As it stand right now he has a ways to go. You're gonna crown that ass... Well you enjoy that Did I ask for anyone to trust me over anything.. I trust my 45 years of watching football and making a very obvious observation. Josh has quite a ways to go with the passing game.... But if you and the Josh gang want to crown him the best ever go for it. When he plays like a QB who can throw the football for 60% and 200+ yds a game I will be happy. Until then he is still a work in progress and nothing else I love how infatuated some Bills fans are that they can not see that Josh still has a ways to go. When he starts growing into that QB I will be happy.. -

I never understood the impatience with Zay from this forum. -
Josh Allen turning non-believers into believers

He is still woefully inaccurate and has not found any touch on his passes. He holds the ball way to long and has almost 0 ability to hit the 3 step quick pass drop. Looking better but he has a long way to travel before I would crown him anything -
Josh Allen has become the leader of this football team

nobody will miss BJ's lack of production -
his inaccuracies are not overblown at all. His low completion percentage is a testament to that. His pocket awareness is improving and his ability to scramble is becoming an asset however it could lead to his undoing just the same.. Right now Josh still struggles in the passing game quite a bit with his ability to make a quick read and then get the ball out quickly. If he can throw into tight windows consistently then this part of his game will start to shine. He still holds the ball for a long time, and this leads to half of our holding calls on the OL. Cut down the time Josh holds the ball and we won't be as penalized on the OL. I thought he showed some progression against Miami... But Josh is still a pretty big project.... and very much still a We shall see situation

Until you have a QB you have to keep bringing them in.I am very under sold on Allen at this point and would not want to go into next season with just Allen as the franchises p[ossible future. We will see more of Allen but if there is no improvement in the 2nd half then you really have zero choice but to look heavily at QB's> problem is will there be one worthy of the pick.

I exect a professional organization to field an Offense an do do what it takes to groom a rookie QB into the NFL which includes a reaql established vet.. And to field an OL that doesn't get our RB and QB destroyed in the process I'm sick and tired of it 9-7 -3-13- 8-8 - 4-12s..... but no team in their right mind fields this offense on purpose
-
mentioned that and he did little to nothing with a rookie qb a year QB and a backup QB on the roster at camp.. I mean what GM would be ok with that ? I expect him to go out and get OL and a real Vet QB before anything had to be said Seriously you going to defend Beane complete screw up with a rookie QB on the orster

For Those Calling For Mahomes, Check This Out.

Mahommes is obviously a ranch guy -
I want to see him scan the field. Make the right reads and fire the ball into tight windows accurately. Something he has show very little ability to do with any consistency.
-
it all comes down to one thing QB play.. not feeling it
-
I blame Allen because even a moderately unsuccessful QB would of produces more than 100 yds of passing Allen is not dissecting at the LOS and is not making quick reads on any type of consistent basis. He takes way too much time holding the ball looking and waiting for open WR's, or even worse becoming a scramble 1st QB.. the very thing we want to avoid with a pocket passer

Peterdouche won't be here much longer. he has been given every chance to demonstrate. no stone was left unturned here.
