  1. here is what went wrong with Elam. He showed a williingess to get better, he brought a notebook with lots of notes in it and was taking notes in the interview. This won over McD who figured he would be able to get him to that place with reps and Beane drafted him based on the input. The notebook was a red flag in hindsight. What that showed is Elam doesn't learn by reps in practice at a high enough level for the pros. He has to learn and understand it and does not just react. When you put him on the field he had to think about everything he needed to be doing because he didn't master it by running reps, he was still thinking on the fileld and not reacting organically. This explains why he playing so far off of the WR's that had people complaining and rightfully so. I bet the farm when we had to play Elam the coaches told him to play back some cause they know he would eventually get burned for a big play and they wanted to lower the % that it would happen. Whether that was the right call or not its the reason why Elam did not work out.
  2. deserted island will all inclusive service ????? you can one or the other, you can never have both.
  3. Outside of Josh he represents what the Bills Mafia is. Passionate and a little whacky
  4. he is still out there and nobody is buzzing about him. He may come back on cheap 1 year deal.
  5. I'll miss him on the Bills, he wasn't dynamic but he played smart and with an edge, and we need players like that. From a talent stand point he is replaceable, from a character stand point he will be hard to replace
  6. Nice call, unbelievable that someone remembered the post from 2022 Go ahead and say it... you called it
  7. He is special. I know I really appreciate having such a player representing us
  8. Yes that would make this trasition a lot smoother, I think we should throw in a looping mp3 of Barry White to really set the mood
  9. I think the couple would really love something provocative
  10. It will eventually put the team in cap jail, but Allen has a new 6 year contract, time to push our financial limitations down the line as long as we can/as long as Allen is our QB
  11. Oh you mean this guy! https://tenor.com/view/afro-the-naked-gun-1970s-70s-disco-gif-6403564674703492338
  12. I tried a CPAP machine but I sleep on my stomach, back and side..... and end up twisted in the hose, or I drool into the mask and when I rotate positions I get cold drool falling back on my face. I can not use a cpap, and I sleep in my own room/bed because of it. I've looked into it but surgeries are so iffy and not worth it, so there is no options for me.
  13. still another contract negotiated without the use of social media
  14. and yet another extension negotiated without the use of social media
  15. We are in much better position this year compared to last year. I believe we we're close to 30+ milion over going into the offseason. This year we were closer to 10+ million to start the offseason I guessed at the numbers maybe someone would post the real numbers
  16. The game is won and lost in the trenches. Completely agree, get the DL right, go big on DL this year
  17. I ***** care and so do alot of others Just move along you know my feelings
  18. Another extension not negotiated on social media, solid signing
  19. to our current situation. Josh can work with what we have. What he can not overcome is a defense that cannot stop other high octane offenses
  20. Von Miller mauy have lost a step but when it comes to this team he is pretty loyal to take the the paycuts just to stay. I hope they can work it out while we still pursue Mack or Garett
  21. LMFAO.. players line up to play for real contenders and it won't affect a damn thing regarding top FAs or resinging our own. Players screw over teams the same way and run off when it suits them just the same, this is not a one way street, its a business.
  22. if you can then yes, if you can not use the tools, that is all I have said in this thread. BUT No matter what happens he has chosen social media to vent his frustration or make his desires known and that is something I have ZERO repsect for. Personally I honestly do not care what happens to Cook. SIgn him to a deal, Trade him or force him to play on a tag in 2026, he chose a path that I do not respect. I also have no clue what you are saying about bad optics, its a business and to be honest all the good optics that you say the FO is working towards hasn't done ***** for this team. We are still the team who can't get past the AFCC so every single optic be damned. Keep the best players anyway you can including using tags when needed.
  23. You start high on your asking price.. Thats basic negotiating But I agree DK is not worth that picks or salary.
  24. At some point you have to use the tools you have in front of you. Especially when a player starts negotiating on Social Media. How much has Beanes and McDs goodwill really done for us. Can't even win a AFCC Game. The players he resigns are solid but none of them have gotten us further. I'm all for negotiating a better deal for Cook and your numbers you suggested are solid, and better than using tags and that works for me. BUT if he hangs onto numbers that do not fit the team going forward you use the tools you have at your disposal. Thats the business.
  25. Like I said "That being said this is where Cook must look if he wants a contract extension. He needs to come in under the FT tag number otherwise the Bills/Beane can just use the tag numbers, and Cook is then gambling he will not get injured/ lose a step and kiss a solid contract goodbye." you don't have to pay more and add void years to make it work. We basically have Cook for 3 more years without a new contract (if we have no need to tag someone else). Void years still count against the cap regarding bonuses, so there will be dead money with void years. I agree void years can be a creative way to keep the cap low but if we do not have to then do not.
