  1. Other teams will notice if he holds out and it will effect his bargaining power some. I do not think 24 season is enough alone to move the needle to $15 mil a season for anyone in 2025. Maybe 2026 depending how much the salary cap space jumps, but I forsee Cook asking for $20 million in 2026 with that scenario with another 2024 season of success in 2025. Thats how I view Cook the player now, another social media mouth who is more about getting paid then being on a class team competing every year. In fact whom was the last player to make a stink about getting a new contract from Beane? Beane is pretty pro active about re-signing players and I can not think of one player who went public with a contract demand during Beanes tenure.... I could be wrong just do not recall.
  2. No he does not have to but it will cost him in FA if he does not is what I said. SO he has to play the full yuear if he wants to have any chance of getting paid what he is asking for IMO. He can hold out for camp but he has to play 17 + games to make the bank.
  3. I just don't think he processes stuff on field fast enough regardless of system. The red flag was the note book. How many times have you heard of a player bringing a notebook to show off their notes while taking notes in an interview. Elam was the 1st I have ever read about. He needed the notes to help him learn systems, but in the NFL you have to react and not think about what you are going to do
  4. No way we would spend a 1st rd pick on a RB given our needs along the DL and DB Make him play on his deal this year, and be prepared to transition tag him next year. Draft a RB in the mid rounds this year and next
  5. He has to play the full year to get what he is asking for in FAs next year. I can see him holding out of camp, but even that is gamble with so much riding on him wanting that contract... eventually We can place a transition tag on him next year if we feel he is unreplaceable, and even if he is replaceable I would consider the transition tag to orchestatrate a trade for an asset wioth some value before FA
  6. here is what went wrong with Elam. He showed a williingess to get better, he brought a notebook with lots of notes in it and was taking notes in the interview. This won over McD who figured he would be able to get him to that place with reps and Beane drafted him based on the input. The notebook was a red flag in hindsight. What that showed is Elam doesn't learn by reps in practice at a high enough level for the pros. He has to learn and understand it and does not just react. When you put him on the field he had to think about everything he needed to be doing because he didn't master it by running reps, he was still thinking on the fileld and not reacting organically. This explains why he playing so far off of the WR's that had people complaining and rightfully so. I bet the farm when we had to play Elam the coaches told him to play back some cause they know he would eventually get burned for a big play and they wanted to lower the % that it would happen. Whether that was the right call or not its the reason why Elam did not work out.
  7. deserted island will all inclusive service ????? you can one or the other, you can never have both.
  8. Outside of Josh he represents what the Bills Mafia is. Passionate and a little whacky
  9. he is still out there and nobody is buzzing about him. He may come back on cheap 1 year deal.
  10. I'll miss him on the Bills, he wasn't dynamic but he played smart and with an edge, and we need players like that. From a talent stand point he is replaceable, from a character stand point he will be hard to replace
  11. Nice call, unbelievable that someone remembered the post from 2022 Go ahead and say it... you called it
  12. He is special. I know I really appreciate having such a player representing us
  13. Yes that would make this trasition a lot smoother, I think we should throw in a looping mp3 of Barry White to really set the mood
  14. I think the couple would really love something provocative
  15. It will eventually put the team in cap jail, but Allen has a new 6 year contract, time to push our financial limitations down the line as long as we can/as long as Allen is our QB
  16. Oh you mean this guy! https://tenor.com/view/afro-the-naked-gun-1970s-70s-disco-gif-6403564674703492338
  17. I tried a CPAP machine but I sleep on my stomach, back and side..... and end up twisted in the hose, or I drool into the mask and when I rotate positions I get cold drool falling back on my face. I can not use a cpap, and I sleep in my own room/bed because of it. I've looked into it but surgeries are so iffy and not worth it, so there is no options for me.
  18. still another contract negotiated without the use of social media
  19. and yet another extension negotiated without the use of social media
  20. We are in much better position this year compared to last year. I believe we we're close to 30+ milion over going into the offseason. This year we were closer to 10+ million to start the offseason I guessed at the numbers maybe someone would post the real numbers
  21. The game is won and lost in the trenches. Completely agree, get the DL right, go big on DL this year
  22. I ***** care and so do alot of others Just move along you know my feelings
  23. Another extension not negotiated on social media, solid signing
  24. to our current situation. Josh can work with what we have. What he can not overcome is a defense that cannot stop other high octane offenses
  25. Von Miller mauy have lost a step but when it comes to this team he is pretty loyal to take the the paycuts just to stay. I hope they can work it out while we still pursue Mack or Garett
