Other teams will notice if he holds out and it will effect his bargaining power some. I do not think 24 season is enough alone to move the needle to $15 mil a season for anyone in 2025. Maybe 2026 depending how much the salary cap space jumps, but I forsee Cook asking for $20 million in 2026 with that scenario with another 2024 season of success in 2025. How many times have you heard of a player bringing a notebook to show off their notes while taking notes in an interview. Elam was the 1st I have ever read about. He needed the notes to help him learn systems, but in the NFL you have to react and not think about what you are going to do

No way we would spend a 1st rd pick on a RB given our needs along the DL and DB Make him play on his deal this year, and be prepared to transition tag him next year. Draft a RB in the mid rounds this year and next

He has to play the full year to get what he is asking for in FAs next year. I can see him holding out of camp, but even that is gamble with so much riding on him wanting that contract... eventually We can place a transition tag on him next year if we feel he is unreplaceable, and even if he is replaceable I would consider the transition tag to orchestatrate a trade for an asset wioth some value before FA

here is what went wrong with Elam. He showed a williingess to get better, he brought a notebook with lots of notes in it and was taking notes in the interview. This won over McD who figured he would be able to get him to that place with reps and Beane drafted him based on the input. The notebook was a red flag in hindsight. What that showed is Elam doesn't learn by reps in practice at a high enough level for the pros. He has to learn and understand it and does not just react. When you put him on the field he had to think about everything he needed to be doing because he didn't master it by running reps, he was still thinking on the fileld and not reacting organically. This explains why he playing so far off of the WR's that had people complaining and rightfully so. I bet the farm when we had to play Elam the coaches told him to play back some cause they know he would eventually get burned for a big play and they wanted to lower the % that it would happen. Whether that was the right call or not its the reason why Elam did not work out.

I'll miss him on the Bills, he wasn't dynamic but he played smart and with an edge, and we need players like that. From a talent stand point he is replaceable, from a character stand point he will be hard to replace

I tried a CPAP machine but I sleep on my stomach, back and side..... and end up twisted in the hose, or I drool into the mask and when I rotate positions I get cold drool falling back on my face. I can not use a cpap, and I sleep in my own room/bed because of it. I've looked into it but surgeries are so iffy and not worth it, so there is no options for me.
