  1. Im'k ok with Baker and Lamar you can keep Josh. You'l have to trade up for sure for Baker
  2. goes without saying.. All I know is I remember that sinking feeling
  3. That was me and my compadres 4 years in a row so as much as it is fun to see NE fans suffer i know that feeling all to well
  4. http://www.knbr.com/2017/03/03/la-canfora-tony-romo-could-legitimately-land-with-49ers/ Looks like its a annual thing with San Fran to be in discussion for 3 way trades involving Cousins
  5. the Bills and contention used in the same sentence.... The tide be turning
  6. it don't matter who we draft at QB you better have a vet who can take the reigns for a year or so. maybe th erookie comes in and earns the job immediately but I wouldn't depend upon that. I would never put all my eggs into a rookie QB's basket
  7. there is nothing positive about the word mafia. it is a very negative term. I make sure to distance myself form the term when ever it comes up I never understood it either.. I Figured we can do better, but some people like to jump off the top of vans and crack their skulls and set themselves on fire.. Too each their own I guess
  8. I didn't watch the game.. didn't care, don't care Last time i heard the Bills were nto playing in the game
  9. everybody loves taking a chance when it works out.. When it doesn't work out nobody will ever let you forget how screwed up you were for taking an unecessary chance. these hindsight threads are a laugh riot... todays NFL, yesterdays NFL, all pass happy, or dominating run game, defense wins chamionships, or a future HOF QB, it all comes down to to 2 things. Talent and execution...
  10. the other teams QB was the best QB during the drought
  11. it wasn;t a close game.. TB destroyed the Raiders. Ironically Gruden was porbably the only HC trade ever made in professional sports, and went on to beat his former team in the superbowl, only to get the contract of a lifetime and then some to rejoin the Raiders in Vegas. strager than fiction I tell you
  12. I'm on the fence with this one I kind of want Tampa Bay to win it, but I just really hope they give the Raiders a good game.
  13. I think the top 5 or 6 QB's in this draft will be better pros than McCarron. This is the year to draft a QB even if we sit and make no trades upward. As for having a vet in here to help until the rookie is ready we would want someone better that McCarron
  14. why dwell on anything negative.
  15. he seems to be a very under rated QB in this draft... Defintely a QB who could turn out to be a real gem that fell outside the top 10 or even 1st rd.
  16. Allen worries me way too much... Too much relyng on arm strength and size but way to raw and loose on the fundamentals that make great QB's great With the speed/intelligence transisiton of the NFL game I just do not see him learning consistency and great mechanics quickly. if he slides down into the 2nd or 3rd round I'd grab him and try to groom him but he is not a day 1 starter and may take more than a year to iron out those bad habits. Whomever drafts him has ot be super patient and have a vet who can hold the reigns for more than a single season
  17. https://247sports.com/nfl/denver-broncos/Bolt/Report-Broncos-to-offer-Kirk-Cousins-very-high-guaranteed-contract-114438585 There is no "DEAL" in place just a lot of hear say and click bait... however its being reported that Denver is putting a lot of guarenteed money on the table come the time FA begins
  18. I don't see much in him to have faith. On the trash heap no, but IMHO he won't do much in the NFL
  19. well it looks like this is moot. Did not see the Alex Smith trade coming especially this early into the offseason
  20. not a placeholder. A top 10 QB for one more year then you have no cap hit in 2019 from it. Its a clean break... Or they can toss a rookie in there right off the bat which I don't see as a smart move. Which brings us back to Doh a dear a female dear...... IMO Washington will do every single possible thing they can do to get a return for Cousins whether that be one more season or assets in return.. There will be suitors for Cousins services, and there will be teams who will find it worth it to part with a pick or 2 to get Cousins and not let him get to free agency. I don't think any team will agree to 2 1st rd picks but a 1st rd pick and a day 3 pick might be enough and yes the team that is willing to make that move will be negotiating a deal that will be very kind to Cousins. I do not see a top 10 QB just being released to free agency under any circumstance. This a is a QB desperate league and Cousins is a known commodity that is a lot less risky than the majority of QB's offered in the draft or FA. Someone will step up and make an offer...
  21. Not out of the realm of possibility considering the leverage point of view.. It will be interesting.. I still think Washington is willing to franchise and keep him if they can't get something in return for him. Even if they are able to land Josh Allen or another QB at 13 they would still most likely want a vet for at least another to groom a drafted QB If they let cousins go then they are scrambling around for a vet IMO
  22. OK... all I was saying is Wa will do whatever they can to get something for him before they let him walk....
  23. yeah that sounds plausible...
  24. No they aren't going down unless reveneues go down conisderably... But I still think Cousins would do less than $30 mil per season on a longterm deal with guarentees.
  25. they'll do it again before they let him walk for nothing is what I've been saying. No way any team in th eNFL lets a valuable asset like a top 10 QB just walk without doing whatever you can to get some compensation. Maybe it backfires but Wa can tag , sign ,and trade for less than the 2 1sts if they just tag him and someone signs him.
