  1. Simply means we imploded for a few games All that matters is if we can pull it back together
  2. Its a good deal if you can trade for a QB who has a contract in place that doesn't hamstring your salray cap for years and if that QB stil has some worth when you want to dump and let your drafted guy take over. Philly hit pay dirt but would the Bills be able to accomplish the same... or do we end up holding the bag A FA QB like COusins wouldn't be a tradeable asset because he will break the bank... ALex Smith doesn't have many years left to be worthy of a 1st rd trade if we aquired After that I don't know who or what would or is available
  3. A non disclosure agreement wil not absolve anyone of unwanted mis behavior, so he will need to wise up on that one. I have to beleive he has been educated on that sicne that fiasco went public
  4. absolutely the dumbest thing I've read in a while.
  5. We draft a QB.... and we move up to do so.
  6. He has made some mistakes but he has taken a roster purged team and kept them performing at better than expected levels. Looking forward to seeing if McD / Beane can move us forward instead of th eusual sophmore slump we get with the last 10 HC's we've had
  7. After the roster pruge / preseason I figured 6 wins at best, so they have exceeded expectations
  8. yeah they shooed them off the field but not after they were out there for a few minutes helping out. So I still call it a BS thing
  9. they can beat Miami 2x's so 2-1 is a strong possibility. I don't see us beating the Patriots thou
  10. If the team could cross the line and push snow over the area the Colts were sweeping up then why not send a few of our guys into the oposing teams huddle to hear the play call. I would think these situations are the same. You can't cross the LOS and deliberatley interfere.. As for sideline personell helping the Colts that was BS thing the refs missed
  11. He looked more comfortable playing.. But Hard to judge overall.. If he makes a mistake or 2 does the wheels come off like his 1st outing Overall it was a thumbs up effort for NP.. wish he finshed that game
  12. Tyrod doesn't make the crucial mitakes Peterman might if pressured Peterman has the ability to hit the quick passes but hasn't shown enough to know whether he can avoid big mistakes I think you start TT if there is a choice but if TT can't produce some consistent chain moving drives then you might have to switch mid game
  13. Considering the product we endure year after year it isn't snow that needs to be shoveled
  14. they're setting up their team. The moves seem very head scratching on the surface, but obviously they want a different attitude and type of player here... He actually over achieved IMO given the roster turn over. If they look like the team that got destroyed 3 weeks in a row next year than patience will run out, but I think they will improve under this regime... Minus a QB that can put up points they should of beat the Jets on TNF and kept the Patsies in check they just couldn't control the ball on Offense, thats a QB issue mostly. AND This is with a D with a fully rebuilt DB and a bunch of scrubs that are doing better than expected minus those blow outs. I'm willing to give McBeane combo more than 2 and hopefully worthy of more than 3 because continuity wil help things a lot ANother lost season but I'm maintaining optomism going forward. Got to see what they do with this team *** cough *** during the offseason and how it translates on the field for another pair of seasons
  15. Yeah I edited my post to reflect that I agree its a few poweful owners not allowing it to happen I actually don't think many players would spark up just before a game though.. Most of my reply was just my thoughts on it
  16. Yep bruce Smith the Cornelius Bennet trade.. Reed and everyone pasisng up Thurman we get him in the 2nd rd . Kent Hull and a ton of utility players that just rose up to the occasions Lofton and then Beebe added to he WR core through those years and of course the most underrated player that deserves a HOF place Steve tasker IMO
  17. weak reasoning because it is much better than pain killers and alcohol combo, but some owners just hate the thought of accepting weed a professional wil act professionaly and others will abuse whatever it is they abuse. Some are prone to addiction others are not. Weed is not going to swing that pendulum to another extreme, and arguably it would lower the other subtance abuse IMO
  18. I think red on red and blue on blue looks more like college uniforms.. Red Helmets were always my favorite and ruby slippers
  19. at this point i'm more interested in seeing what Players like Peterman / Reilly can do. diamonds in the rough are always fun to see unfold especially if your a Bills fan grasping at straws
  20. I hit pay dirt I turned 21 the year of our 1st superbowl and it was a great 4 year run.. Watched the bills sine I was 5 years old, got to watch OJ run the football Dad took me to a few games every year. Wish we would of won 1 of them SBs but still had so much fun watching football those years It would be interesting ot see how a QB like Kelly would do in todays NFL . such a different league but he could hit the quick pass and stand tall in a pocket
  21. Like I've been saying even an average O Lineman start to look much more competent when the QB is hitting those short passes quickly, and that Averge OL starts to look much better with a consistent QB capable of gettng rid of the ball quickly and an OC system that been runnign for a few years.. How many times have we changed OC's in the last 5 years, 10 years, on average every 3.. and not once did we have anything but average QB play even on our best days in that time. A few accpetional games mixed in of course but each season saw more QB struggles that successes. Which caused more turnover at the HC OC and DC positions which keeps us in a tail spin Get the QB... unfortunately JP losman and EJ Manual were on nobodies short list of QB's but they were our 2 1st rd attempts.. Got to go get a college player who show signs of being able to throw accurately and make quick reads.. Neither EJ or JP showed that and we saw the results. Move up ang get that player.. But intangibles like arm stregth and size mean nothing if the abilty to process quickly and natural accuracy is not there IMO
  22. Agreed especialy if Cordy stays healthy into next year but thats my biggest worry. We have 2 really good OT's in Dawkins and Glenn should be easy to phil in a new RG / Backup T assuming Incognito is stil good to go.. Center should be addressed as Woods is getting long in the tooth IMO We really aren't that horrible on the OL front IMO just need a QB who can hit th equick slants and force the D to respect the quick pass I'll look it up you are correct I leirned sumthing twoday
  23. Que Bee nobody can say that the teams with solid QB's are also drafting 5 better than most OL.. They draft average players to phil the gaps mixed in with a stud or 2 like us but their QB play and stability from having the same QB / OC / system over years forms a bond/understanding that makes their Offense / OL better than teams like us IMO
  24. Cordy being out a bunch set us back some for sure.. WOods is getting long in the tooth and the right side needs help for sure but lot of it is not having a QB who can make those quick slants that forces Ds to adjust back a little.. I can't imagine every successful team has the perfect OL combo.. Basically if you only have to hold your block / assignment for 3 seconds it makes the position a lot easier and makes average OL more competent on paper I also think teams figured us out by containing the outside so TT nor Shady can bust it that way and forces them up the middle.
  25. QB has a better chance of making the OC / HC and the Offense in general look much better than vice versa IMO.
