Just over halfway there... (Counting the days)
Albany,n.y. replied to Captain Caveman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can handle it as long as they honor all tickets for the opener. If they pull a 50% capacity and refund my money I'm not going to be happy. -
Is the author from Texas? Prescott way too high, especially coming off an injury season. Watson above Josh? Look at the W-L records last year. It's easier to pad stats on a losing team playing meaningless games without helping your team while making yourself look good on paper-and that's not even taking into account that at best he may have to serve a significant suspension and at worst he'll be watching games from a prison cell.

Dan Campbell wants a live Lion at Detroit pratices.
Albany,n.y. replied to Greg S's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Campbell in camp "You guys better start playing better or I'll feed you to the lion" When you get cut by the Lions you really get cut by the lions. -
When everyone except the league office is calling something the Super Bowl, it's the Super Bowl from day 1. They were selling souvenirs with Super Bowl on them, fans in the stands were making banners referring to the game as the Super Bowl during the AFL championship game in the Rockpile, players and coaches were saying they are looking forward to playing in the Super Bowl, reporters like Heywood Hale Broun were saying during the pregame "This is Heywood Hale Broun at the Super Bowl" . I don't have to go to and quote some reference page to know that the game was called the Super Bowl by everyone but the league office, I was seeing it all in 1967 when it actually was happening. Most of the people who go along with the story that it wasn't the Super Bowl are either too young to know by experience or too old to remember.

Anyone who still believes the myth that it wasn't called the Super Bowl needs to go to the 22:40 point of the video, where you'll see a man in the stands wearing a hat that says Super Bowl. At 36:58 at the bottom of the screen during the halftime show they spell out in block letters Super Bowl. Myths die hard-a while ago I posted the front page of the Courier Express the day after the AFL championship game before the 1st Super Bowl & at one point it said Kansas City "gains Super Bowl". Somebody accused me of posting a photoshopped picture.

Does Gregory Rousseau need "redshirt" year?
Albany,n.y. replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Trapasso had our 1st rounder as a 4th rounder on his board, he needs to stop drawing up a draft board. Years ago I used to draw up my own draft board. After I "drafted" JP Losman with pick 13 in 2004 and had Tom Brady on what I called "The Bust Board" in 2000, I reaiized it was time for me to just stop making a draft board. It's getting time for Trapasso to come to the same concluson. Here's something I found from Trapasso from 2018: Chris Trapasso @ChrisTrapasso Because QB prospects are apparently the talk of today. A reminder of my current rankings: Mason Rudolph [small space] Lamar Jackson [one prospect] Josh Rosen [small space] Sam Darnold [sizable space] Baker Mayfield [two rounds] Josh Allen 2:33 PM · Feb 19, 2018·Twitter for iPhone -
Another preseason game against Detroit. We better not get any kneecaps bitten off.

I'm glad it's not Bills @ Tampa. Last season was the 1st time in 36 years I didn't attend at least 1 Bills game & I'm starved for live football. I'd rather be able to go to the season & home opener at the stadium than watch a road game on TV.

The only time Marino was on an AFC champion was when Kelly was in the USFL. Once Kelly joined the Bills, Marino never got to another Super Bowl. Every time Dan Marino came close to the Super Bowl door, Kelly slammed it in his face.

Projected Albany TV Schedule
Albany,n.y. replied to Albany,n.y.'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lots of Falcons & Jaguars games. Now if your interested in Albany California you'll get the 49ers a lot. I'm not sure if they're still carrying Raiders games after the move out of Oakland. -
I actually plan on having a paper ticket. Ticketmaster gave me that option when I bought my opening day ticket & I took it because in 2019 I had a problem with the e-ticket at the gate. Eventually it worked but I had to go to one of the ticket kiosks & it worked, but my 1st time at the gate nobody could figure out how to bring up my ticket. This is a general question that has nothing to do with this reply: To those who went to the playoff games, what did they do at the gate for you to prove your Covid negativity? Did it take a while or were you able to go pretty fast?

Subject to later in season flexing, all cable & network national night games are listed as on in Albany. It looks like 9 or 10 games plus the possibility of more depending on how the Jets are playing. 10 teams get five primetime games -- Bills not one of them
Albany,n.y. replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nobody really knows how many primetime games we have. The day/time of the Carolina game hasn't been decided & there's a thing called flexing that could add another game or 2. -

Years ago when my mother was alive & was selling her house she booked a motel close to where the house was for the night after all the stuff got removed. She chose that one because it was reasonably priced & close by. When I read the reviews they were all about hookers & drug dealers. I told her no way we were staying there. I offered to pay for a better motel & she demanded that she pay for it but within her price range. I ended up finding a motel about a half hour away at her price that had decent reviews.

I once stayed at a Red Carpet Inn around Rochester (Henrietta) when I was driving on a Saturday night to Buffalo for a game & got too tired to continue. The other motels were all booked & it was the only motel with a vacancy. I got the "deluxe" room & it was pretty bad. I can't imagine how bad the regular rooms are.

I just bought a ticket to opening day!
Albany,n.y. replied to Albany,n.y.'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's for more than 1 seat. If anyone is looking for 1 seat, if you change the 2 seats to 1 seat on the top of the available tickets some seats are still available from the team. -
I'm sitting alone & still plan on having fun. I'll be seeing & staying with friends I haven't seen in 2 years & I'm hoping for a TBD tailgate, so I'll only be alone while I'm in the stadium.

I started this thread so that people who wanted tickets know that they are already on sale for the opener. It was not intended to become a debate over vaccinations. -

My guess is that even though a state/muni can have standards, the league can override a team's decision if they don't feel it's safe, like last season when they made sure that fans were far enough away from the players. -

Yes, Petrino isn't vaccinated so I couldn't risk getting another ticket. I'll spend the weekend at a friend's house and we're all vaccinated. Any TBD tailgate planned?
