  1. It seemed like there were 2 main reasons why the Jets dumped Darnold for Wilson 1) Joe Douglas wanted his own draft choice at QB 2) The Jets wanted a QB on his rookie contract & Darnold was approaching a big pay day, or at least a big 2022 5th year option contract pickup. If you drop your QB to draft a replacement because you want more salary cap relief with a QB on his rookie contract without finding out if your current QB is good enough (because you gave him nobody to run the offense with) you deserve to continue to lose. That #2 pick was extremely valuable either to get an impact player or to trade for mutiple picks. Instead Douglas Jet-tisoned his QB for some pretty lame reasons & got a QB who he'll be lucky if the guy can become Darnold's equal. What the Jets did was very similar to the whack-a-mole approach the Bills used to take, losing or trading RBs & CBs & replacing them with 1st round picks they could have used to fill other spots instead of just drafting 1st rounders & replacing them with the same position every few years with a cheaper #1 pick. I had 2 broadcasts on last Sunday at 1:00 and even though I paid a lot more attention to the Bills game, I saw a dumpster fire watching Gang Green.
  2. 2nd time. We beat Houston 31-24 on 10/13/02. I still had my seasons in 2003 and was among the fans in the stands screaming decline as Gregg, or someone on his staff, accepted the penalty. At the time I said the Bills should fire Gregg that day.
  3. Hardly the dumbest coaching decision ever. That goes to Gregg Williams & his staff on 11/16/03 when the Bills accepted a penalty late in the 4th quarter of a home game vs Houston with Houston ahead 12-8. London Fletcher was wildly waiving his arms while on the field to decline the penalty which the Bills coaches accepted. See, London knew the extra down would give Houston enough time to run the clock out-something Gregg wasn't aware of. Houston ended the game by running out the clock when Andre Johnson took the ball and ran it out of his own endzone for a safety with 0:00 left on the clock. Final score Houston 12 Bills 10.
  4. Here are some things to think about: Remember the famous Belichick "On to Cincinnati" comment? Teams take time to jell every season. For years Brady & NE would throw a clunker in in September and when that happened the he's old & done crowd would chime in early then watch him win another championship. Speaking of Brady, last season Tampa started off fairly slow & didn't catch fire until late in the season & the playoffs. Don't peak too soon, build up momentum as the season goes on. Many Super Bowl champs weren't at 100% in September. When you're complaining about the Bills when they are dominating because the players aren't getting you enough fantasy points, it's time to look at videos of games during the drought years and then you might appreciate how much better this team is nowadays. If the offense isn't there by December, come back and complain as much as you want, just for now keep it in perspective that great teams peak in December, January & hopefully, February. Flashes in the pan peak in September & October (see Jauron & Fitzpatrick contract extensions)
  5. You can probably do it at a private lot but I'm not sure they would let you in the stadium lots during the game. When I bought stadium parking for opening day it said parking was only for gameday ticket holders. They never checked as they scanned my parking pass but if they saw people tailgaiting in the 2nd quarter they might have security ask to see your ticket & either boot you if you don't have a ticket or tell you to go into the stadium.
  6. The question should be how much will Flores send Epenesa as a thank you for knocking Tua out of the game & strengthening the case to trade for Watson.
  7. They're the same people who weren't happy with Kelly & wanted Frank Reich to replace him and if they're too young to have been around in the late 1980s then their fathers were calling for Reich.
  8. All the jokers complaining during the game on earlier treads should watch today's Jets game. I had both games on at the same time and Wilson was a hot mess. I had no complaints, I bet the Bills & it was never in doubt giving 3.5 points. When your team wins 35-0 and you're complaining it's time realize the difference between fantasy football where you're not getting enough points and a real football field where 35-0 is a blowout.
  9. I don't predict scores but I bet on the Bills to win by 4 or more. The bigger the blowout the better so I can relax & count my cash by the 4th quarter when Trubisky comes in to finish the game.
  10. Once again the NFL schedule makers trying to screw up the Bills Super Bowl chances by giving us a home game against a tough opponent on opening day knowing the odds would be against us winning the Super Bowl after one game. They knew right off the bat they would be reducing our chances to 40% or less. From now on the Bills need to start the season on the road & not be eliminated from a Super Bowl championship after week 1.
  11. You have a 50/50 chance of being on the road opening day. The schedule is random. If the Bills played the Jets instead of the Steelers then there would be no stupid stat to post. If I want to be a downer I can usually find a stat to justify my opinion if I dig deep enough. This is how stupid the stat is: In 1993 the Cowboys started 0-2 on their way to becoming Super Bowl champions. Since the 1st game was on the road & the 2nd straight loss was at home, the Cowboys don't qualify for the stat. Also, there have been 55 Super Bowls, so why are you using 52? Now considering the fact that the natural odds in any season (before accounting for talent differences) of a Super Bowl Championship is 1 in 32, the natural odds of 1) Playing at home opening week (50%) 2), Losing Opening Day(50%), and 3) winning the Super Bowl (3.125%), it's not that hard to get a 1 out of 55 result (1.82 %). In fact the natural odds of winning a Super Bowl after losing your home opener on opening day, or even winning the Super Bowl is 0.078% Now if you say the odds of getting to the Super Bowl is only 1 in 16 (6.25%) The result is 1)50% X 2) 50%X3)6.25% X4)50% (once you're in the game you have a 50/50 shot of wining or losing). That yields the same 0.078% or 1 in 128. So it's not surprising that a 1 in 128 stat would produce a 1 in 55 result. The gobbledygook of the prior paragraph just shows you how statistics can be manipulated to produce a result that supports just about any premise. The data posted in the OP is meaningless.
  12. I have to turn on WFAN
  13. Giants deserve to lose. Blow 2 time outs before they get the ball back. Off sides on a FG, no discipline.
  14. Giants played for a FG down by 1 meaning a Washington FG beats them. Even if they win,Judge can't coach.
  15. Just announced at halftime of TNF
  16. If the Giants owners have any brains, he won't be there next year and neither will Gettleman.
  17. It's Carolina vs Houston It won't be next Thursday
  18. Judge is a horrible coach, another bad limb from the Belichick coaching tree. Go for it on 4th down that deep in Washington's territory. He deserves the subsequent Washington drive after the gutless field goal.
  19. If Bill Parcells is QBing the Dolphins, there will be more than 2 ints. Yes, I know it's your autocorrect but I couldn't resist.
  20. I wore one & an unrelated couple sitting next to me did too. I think the 3 of us were the only ones in our section with masks on.
  21. They sent out e-mails saying that all Gameday programs are now digital & can be downloaded from the Bills app. I didn't bother but that's where the Gameday programs are now.
  22. I went in at 11:10-11:15, no lines at all. My main problen was I bought stadium parking. I left from Depew around 8:20 AM drove straight down Rt 20 (Transit/Southwestern) and a few miles from the stadium traffic came to a dead halt. I got in the stadium lot around 10:15, almost 2 hours for a 15 mile drive on Rt 20. At least I got a spot 2 cars from the road in the lot, about 5 rows down from the exit so getting out wasn't that bad after the game ended. I wore a mask both indoors & outside once the stadium seats filled up. That was because I was staying with friends who would have been upset if I went to the stadium & didn't keep a mask on. If someone is going to put me up for the weekend I'm not going to go against their wishes. I'm not sure what I would have done if I had stayed in a motel since I'm fully vaccinated.
  23. It's even worse at Met-Life stadium. I'm going to the Bills game on 11/14 and I got a notice that I must use VISA only cards. Now they have machines at Met-Life where you can buy a VISA debit card with cash. I wonder how well that works and what the fees are. Since I have Mastercard & not VISA I ended up buying a VISA gift card & put $100 on it for both games & left my debit card at home. One thing that I found was that if you look, most prepaid debit cards are reloadable, but they make you do a lot of stuff like registering with them, giving private info that sometimes includes your Social Security number and charge a monthly fee. I was about to give up but then I found that the gift card has none of that nonsense & the fee was a one time $5.95 charge.
  24. The reason the Chiefs come back from 10+ points is because they fall behind in a lot of games by not taking things seriously early on. Then when they get punched in the face they turn to Mahomes to bail them out.
  25. The mask policy worked so well on opening day🤣
