  1. Lets hope that Allen has The Force!
  2. Thats the first thing I thought when I saw that pick. He is the Bills answer to the Gronk. I've wished we had someone like Edmunds for years.
  3. I think the Bills had real concerns about Rosen's durability and ability to make "something out of nothing" in scramble situations. I also think there is a real chance that Rosen didn't want the Bills. The Bills may have gotten that vibe from him and passed. Not every kid wants to build a career in Buffalo or Cleveland, especially if money is not a motivating factor for them. If he didn't want to be here it would be bound to end badly.
  4. The best kind of ability is availability. Rosen will not be durable in the NFL. Also, I think Rosen may not have wanted Buffalo. His comment yesterday about maybe having to "fake a smile if he was selected" seems directed towards the Bills. I'd much rather have a guy with Allen's build, abilities and desire to improve and desire to be in Buffalo.
  5. I'm on the train and ready for a great ride. We will need to be patient with him but he has the potential to be great. He can make crazy good throws. We need to hammer the bad habits out of him. I'm still trusting McBean. His success will depend on whats in his head and heart. McBean knows of that better than me.
  6. I'm looking forward to watching this kid develop. He has the tools. If he can put his game together, we've found a gem. If not, we didn't trade the farm for him and we can take another swing in 3 years. I hope its a fun ride!
  7. That draft would be the best of all options for the Bills. Maybe we will be rewarded for our years of agony!
  8. I have no idea what to think of Allen. Theres a lot that I don't like but his big plays he makes are amazing. What the heck do any of us know? If we pick him, I'm all on board. Weather we get him or not, I hope he succeeds in the NFL as he'd be really fun to watch and I like his story.
  9. If we can only pick 2 out of the 3. Get our quarterback and protect our quarterback. If this is the year of the quarterback, we need to do everything possible to help him succeed. Fixing defensive holes are secondary.
  10. Interesting article. Its all a complete crap shoot. No one knows anything about how these guys will translate into the NFL. The only thing I feel certain about is not to pick Allen. Other than that, I think Mayfield, Rosen, Rudolph and White/Lauletta could have all the same chance of success.
  11. Just remember - fan is short for fanatical. I think no matter who they draft for QB, 2/3 of the people on this board will be ranting that they picked the wrong guy. When if fact, we all have no idea how any of them will turn out long-term.
  12. This topic just got a whole lot more important tonight!
  13. Why are Bills players always arrested naked?
  14. No one knows anything about projecting college QB success in the NFL. McBean has shown good judgement so far. They will figure it out. Hysteria with threats of firing people is not a recipe for success. Chill....
  15. This is ridiculous to even think about this.
  16. I have to be an optimist. Its the only way I can be watching this team. I don't know how you could be a Bills fan if you were a pessimist. You would need to be on Prozac to survive the football season.
  17. Trading up only works if you have a willing partner. 12 was probably too far back for the Colts to agree. It may also be the case for the Giants. Trust the Process...
  18. Tyron has great character. I wish him well. He was our best QB in years, but the search continues...
  19. As a person, I have great respect for Tyrod. He has given a lot to the Bills team and has been all class. No drama and all effort plus willing to take a pay cut. Whenever he leaves the Bills, I will wish him well. With that being said, we should be looking to upgrade if possible. My problem with Tyrod is if McD is looking for a pocket QB, he is not the type of QB you would want teaching the young guy how to read the field. I also don't think he should take a pay cut. He is a proven player at a position of need in the league. If he's not on the Bills, he'll be playing somewhere.
  20. The odds are stacked against the kid, just like they are against every 5th round QB pick. With that said, no-one knows how he will turn out. The safe bet is he will wash out but he wouldn't be the 1st one to beat the odds to become a decent starter. I hope he proves people wrong, but I don't want the future of the Bills to rest on hope alone. They must find someone else too.
  21. I agree. I have mentally checked out and will not be watching. I'd rather spend that time watching some video of possible draft prospects. I'm boycotting the pro pats officiating. These are probably two of the most obnoxious fan bases in the nfl. No winner here.
  22. I agree with the premise of your post. I was impressed with Lauletta's ability to throw accurately into tight windows yesterday. People have compared him to Garopolo. I have seen a lot of Rudolph but am not sure if he has the ability to thread it that accurately into tight windows. Most of the throws I see from him are to wide open receivers. White seems very sharp between the ears from what I have seen, but I'm not sure about his arm strength. I was a supporter of Rudolph - I'm not so sure now. There is still a lot to learn about these three. At this point, I don't know who to favor.
  23. No point in watching the SB. We all know its in the bag for the NE. No pressure on Marsha since refs don't call holding on NE.
  24. After a QB I hope they get lots of talented, hungry big nasty dudes on both sides of the lines. Thats where games are won.
