  1. It seems that most of these protests are at expensive private universities. Seems like lots of wealthy entitled kids who spend their free time staring at tik tok videos instead of actually learning or working a job. In 5 years they will probably be wanting student loan relief, but that’s another discussion.
  2. While I generally support the rights for peaceful protests, these idiot college students supporting Hamas seem to be misguided. I doubt any of them would want to live under Hamas rule or in Israel under threat from Hamas. Demanding a cease fire for a war in Israelis is a bit sideways. Why would Netanyahu pay attention to demands from college students or university presidents? If they have energy for a cause, they should be organizing for humanitarian aide for starving children in Somalia or Bangladesh.
  3. Ok Israel is stupid and just asking for war now. This is not good. Netanyahu is an idiot and is planning on us to fight for them.
  4. Just like cults require financial sacrifices from their member to stay in good standing, Trumps requires the same from other Republicans starting Monday. Where other Presidents lead their parties for free, Trump charges for it. Republicans better watch out because Donnie will know if you’ve been good or bad. He should make it a required 50% donation as he knows they would be nothing without him. Donald Trump’s presidential campaign is asking down-ballot Republican candidates to send along 5% of their donation hauls to the 45th president if they choose to use his “name, image and likeness” in their solicitations. A Monday letter to GOP digital vendors signed by top Trump advisers Susie Wiles and Chris LaCivita called for “a minimum of 5% of all fundraising solicitations to Trump National Committee JFC [Joint Fundraising Committee]” starting the following day. “This includes but is not limited to sending to the house file, prospecting vendors, and advertising,” adds the letter from Wiles and LaCivita, first reported by Politico. “Any split that is higher than 5% will be seen favorably by the RNC and President Trump’s campaign and is routinely reported to the highest levels of leadership within both organizations,” https://nypost.com/2024/04/17/us-news/trump-campaign-looks-to-cash-in-on-candidates-using-his-image-asks-for-5-of-donations/
  5. He is nothing. Just picture fat ass Trump getting out of the shower. His long stringy hair hanging down below his ears. Then he tries to comb it all into an honeybun. Fussing over each strand before he sprays it all down with fixative. Next comes the makeup. He needs to decide which shade of orange each day. Each week his beautician dyes his hair. He spends hours in front of the mirror each day perfecting his look that is all fake. What a self-absorbed weirdo.
  6. Diggs has shown that he is primarily all about himself. He has a manipulative side to his personality. I think he was probably manipulating Josh with all the buddy- buddy stuff so he could be Josh’s favorite and get the most balls thrown to him. As long as he got his stats, he was happy and Josh was his buddy. When times got tough, he showed he was more about himself, making it look like he cared more about winning than anyone else on the team. Josh realized he wasn’t his buddy and just wanted stats. The passive aggressive tweets were manipulative crap to get everyone to bend to his desires. Anyone who cares about their team doesn’t pull that crap. First half of last year, Dorsey and Josh tried to satisfy him, to the detriment of the offense. Diggs stats were great but we were losing and Josh wasn’t right. Brady comes in with a new direction and Diggs mentally checks out because it isn’t about him anymore. The team saw through Diggs act and said enough. Josh got right and we went on the winning streak. I think Josh is relieved, but he has got more responsibility this off season to get the new receiving corps functioning, so there should be less golf time this summer.
  7. Or when he would just stand at line of scrimmage on run plays.
  8. I think Diggs probably has wanted out since last year and Bills knew he wasn’t going to play nice with a new alpha receiver the Bills plan on drafting. That would only make the diva drama worse so it was time to cut the cord now for team chemistry. Diggs is on the downside of his career trajectory. Some alphas can’t live with another alpha. He probably wanted no part of teaching his replacement. That’s just the way uber competitive guys are sometimes.
  9. Trump has progressive dementia and it’s only gonna get worse
  10. Manafort’s “that’s what our position is” is so convincing... not! They are all traitors tied to Russia.
  11. Comparing himself to Christ is from the textbook of what CULT leaders do.
  12. I have a hard time thinking of a political leader whose personal actions are in as much opposition to Christ’s teachings as he. Maybe some of the dictators he admires, beyond that, he is in an exclusive club.
  13. If Christ were alive today, I suspect he would breaking bread with trans people and speaking on their behalf.
  14. His view on religion guiding his actions is best said in his own words. Here is Trumps response when asked if he has ever asked God for forgiveness: “I am not sure I have. I just go on and try to do a better job from there. I don’t think so,” he said. “I think if I do something wrong, I think, I just try and make it right. I don’t bring God into that picture. I don’t.” “When I drink my little wine – which is about the only wine I drink – and have my little cracker, I guess that is a form of asking for forgiveness, and I do that as often as possible because I feel cleansed,” he said. “I think in terms of ‘let’s go on and let’s make it right.’”
  15. Mixing religion with politics only leads to problems for both. Separation of church from state is good for the health of both institutions. Otherwise we end up judging politicians by their score card on the Ten Commandments or we will be picking religion practices by party affiliation.
  16. When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and selling bibles.
  17. I’m in a vehicle for about 2.5 hours a day so I listen to NPR or various podcasts like The Bukwark, Ted Talks, Michael Steele, Buffalo Plus, Locked On Bills, Post Reports, The Economist and various ones on science or geography topics. I watch local TV news and PBS evening news. Cable news is often lacking since they often don’t take the time to explain complex issues or they keep hammering the same story to death. I like 60 Minutes in depth reporting on Sundays. I usually do an X check each day and check news.google a few times a week and talk about bigger events with friends who are all over the political spectrum. This is a good thread giving me some sources to check out.
  18. The banking institutions are telling all of us what they think of Don the con. There is a reason why they won’t lend him money. His former closest coworkers, his cabinet members and VP are telling us what they think of him when they refuse to endorse him. No one would hire a guy like this anywhere for any job. He treats people like crap. If you knew a guy like this in your life, you would think he is an ass.
  19. WTH… This move by Israel is not consistent with seeking a peaceful two state resolution. Justice has mentioned this before. Israel announces largest West Bank land seizure since 1993 during Blinken visit Israel’s far-right finance minister, Bezalel Smotrich, announced the seizure of 10 square kilometers (3.8 square miles) of Palestinian territory in the West Bank on Friday. The move marks the single largest land seizure by the Israeli government since the 1993 Oslo accords, according to Peace Now, a settlement watchdog group. https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2024/03/22/israel-largest-west-bank-settlement-blinken-visit/
  20. I have often thought about this too and agree. Libs in some states went too far in the wrong direction on the whole reforming/defunding police issue. Everyone wants police to keep them safe. Some just want them to do a very difficult job better. Response to issues like this seem to swing on a pendulum rather than find common sense in the center. On the other side of the coin, republicans have traditionally been pro law enforcement, yet many seem to minimize or ignore the abuse and assault on the police that day. Trump is honoring those criminals like they are some sort of heros.
  21. So if they didn’t die that day, the treatment of the Capitol police was all good?
  22. Death from friendly fire is almost impossible for any nation to admit, especially while the war is ongoing. It happens in every war. Statistics are usually released years later.
  23. All roads in MAGA Land lead to Russia. Trump and the rest of his cronies should move to Moscow.
