  1. It’s not just Harvard. Everything, every business or other entity in Trumps crosshairs feel compelled to fork over extortion money in exchange for them being allowed to exist, or Trump will attack them with the power of the Federal government. Nvidia now has to pay 15% of their revenue from chip sales to China to the government. (Im not sure they should even be selling chips to China, but I guess Trump is fine with that, as long as he gets his cut). Tim Cook has to deliver a gold bar to Trump, foreign nations have to give him a jet airplane. Law firms are forced to donate their services to Trumps causes. On and on… Whatever happened to Republicans wanting government out of society? I thought you all hated how the Dems made big government requiring masks, vaxes CAFE standards, etc. Trump is the most progressive, activist President we have ever seen. He wants to manipulate and control every facet of American society Republicans disagree with. He declares all these fake emergencies to justify his actions. Why has he gone after the big law firms? It’s because they are the ones who bring lawsuits against the government for unconstitutional actions. When has a Dem president ever used the power of the government to neuter powerful law firms? Trump is trying every possible action, constitutional or unconstitutional, that he can to expand his power. Presidential norms are out the window. Every President following him, on either side of the isle, will feel free to do likewise. The question is: Is that the kind of government we want? Regarding DC: Since when have Republicans cared about the lives of city residents? This is much more about Trump trying to change the story from Epstein and make himself look powerful to his base. Every other President has been extremely reluctant to deploy troops in law enforcement capacity. There is a reason for that. Now Trump declares fake emergencies to normalize their presence on the streets. I hope it goes well but there is reason for concern. Trump is now seeking to create a quick reaction force of troops to deploy on civillian protesters. I don’t like the direction this is all going. Our nation has done just fine, through much more turbulent times, without regularly deploying the military on our soil. My concern is that in an heated protest, young military troops not trained to deal with such events, will take violent action against our citizens. That would be a tragedy for both sides. I hope I’m wrong.
  2. Is this the new norm? I would rather see well trained police on our streets. National Guard are not trained for the conflicts encountered in policing.
  3. This is all a power play for Trump to take power and take one more step to being the dictator he sees as himself in his dreams. Nothing is ever enough for the wannabe dictator. Extortion with his golden shares from American universities, law firms, the steel industry, Nvidia, etc. and now he is commanding troops in a US city. You know he will be sending them into a state and Dem city to “clean up the place”. Troops attacking protesters is the image he wants us all to see. There are lots of things the feds could do to try lowering crime in DC, but he goes straight with the military on the streets as his first option.
  4. All these FBI agents were just working on the job assigned to them. They may have been experts in white collar crime, child trafficking, terrorism or drug smuggling and they were assigned to the massive J6 investigation. For the Trump team to mass fire them is fn nuts. Anyone who supports this is not pro law enforcement. This is making America weaker, not stronger.
  5. I know it’s hard work, but I’d much rather hear what you really think rather than all these stupid YouTube videos you post as responses to people, which I ignore. Exercise your brain and write your responses.
  6. Yea, I think I misunderstood your point. It’s been a gaslighting issue for both parties.
  7. Sad that you don’t recognize that both parties are guilty for the mess we have. Trump has shut down the border, so now is the time to address this problem.
  8. Instead of this stupid stuff, why doesn’t congress do something important like fix our ridiculous immigration system? Republicans could do it if they wanted to, but both parties would rather have the political football to kick back and forth and blame the other.
  9. Excellent point for which none of the MAGA heads here has an answer to. The only answer to our labor costs is more robotics, so fewer manufacturing jobs.
  10. Nice try but do you really think that a sex ring with underage girls is equivalent to two consenting adults? MAGA will say anything to preemptively excuse Trump. We will never know the facts, but he isn’t acting innocent.
  11. Meeting tonight at JDs place to coordinate Epstein Files strategy. An innocent person would do this right?
  12. Trump and his team are living in denial of the negative impacts of his tariff policies just like the Biden team was denying the seriousness of inflation.
  13. Let’s just gerrymander the crap out of every state, whenever politicians want to, to make democracy a complete farce and then just maybe, there will be some reforms. In my opinion, gerrymandering is the root of the problem which has created our dysfunctional democracy. With computer analysis, it is so easy to do vs decades ago.
  14. You will believe whatever Trump says… https://www.factcheck.org/2025/08/trump-offers-no-evidence-for-claim-about-bill-clinton-and-epstein-island/ For all we know, it’s plausible that both Trump and Clinton were on the island.
  15. Nice try but not comparable to sex with underage girl. Not that we know that Trump did that, but he talks as if it’s a desirable thing to do.
  16. Trump lives in the delusional world of “ if I say it, it is true”, and MAGA believes it, just like a cult.
  17. What type of person thinks it’s a privilege to be invited to a place where young girls are sexually assaulted?
  18. The immigration system is the way it is, because it suited the needs of both parties. Corporate republicans like illegals for cheap labor and Dems thought they were getting new voters. Trump exploited the issue to rise to power. If corporations exploiting labor are the problem, you should support the right to form labor unions so farm workers can get a living wage with decent work conditions and benefits. That will come with a subsequent rise in food prices. America can’t have both cheap food and farm jobs that legal Americans would want to work.
  19. It is a cult enabling corruption. We all know if Obama took a plane from a foreign nation these MAGA heads would go ballistic. But with Trump… no problem.
  20. The kiss is 1% of the reason he was released. They are not telling the other 99% that happened.
  21. This is new to me. What type of energy is produced on-site with no combustion?
  22. The one thing Trump and the AG, who represents America and not Trump, is not talking about is the victims (in a general, not name by name sense) and how wrong it is to assault women. Instead, everyone around Trump is seeking to absolve Trump of any involvement.
