  1. Ok, in my usage, anyone who takes a gun to go intentionally kill people, outside of war, is insane. The legal definition may be different. No, the courts shouldn’t release such person until trial result. That judge is nuts if he did that. If true, I’d love to hear the legal reasoning.
  2. Spare me your imagined telepathic abilities. You have no idea what I think. If anything, the killer was wearing a MAGA shirt. My whole point is that, what shirt he wears doesn’t mean anything. The guy is insane. It is stupid to listen to insane people’s opinion on anything.
  3. So all these anti communist farmers now want government money from the pockets of Americans to bail them out for the policies they voted for.
  4. In all these types of shootings, the problem we have is using rational thought to try to understand insanity. Even if he were to write his message or put symbols on the bullets, it’s all insanity and stupid to try to understand or claim he represents a political party. These are mentally ill people with easy access to assault weapons. That is the common denominator.
  5. I’m not a big conspiracy guy, but those videos do raise some unexplained issues. The shirt movement is very strange, if he was shot with a rifle. I haven’t heard how he got to the rooftop either. The rifle stuff is fishy too. Government should release an official report. If it was the mic, that is some serious crazy deadly Bond like stuff.
  6. Is the number of generals proportional to the number of enlisted?Or are there so many because the US military is world-wide?
  7. Well, I one accepts the definition of bizarre as something highly unusual, this pow-wow would qualify. Especially when the military has secure channels of remote communication. From a frequency standpoint, it’s more bizarre than a parade of drag queens. It’s a move dictators have done in the past. Wouldn’t that spike your curiosity? As far as security goes, Hegseth does not inspire confidence as a leader. He is a reverse DEI hire. If the top of every sector of our military is at a meeting, presumably they are not at their normal stations of duty doing what they do. That is a vulnerability. And yes, their attendance at the same location is also a vulnerability, not so much for a conventional attack but rather other novel types of attacks.
  8. So I haven’t seen any discussion of superstar Heggy doing this move. Is this their version of when Sadam Hussein did something similar, but maybe without the killing? Maybe it’s just a pep rally to make sure they know woke is out and testosterone is in. Maybe it’s a loyalty test to Trump before the military does something questionable. Whatever it is, it is a bizarre move as it has never been done before and is highly questionable from a security standpoint.
  9. Fair response. It’s odd that now that Trump controls the Dept of Justice, why doesnt he have Bondi investigate the Crime of the Century which was the stolen election that allowed Biden to take over? Where is the investigation of those voting machines that switched votes? Or maybe that was just Trump claiming a crime happened when there was none. Which may be the case again here.
  10. So what if a conservative judge dismisses the case, or is that an impossibility, or does that make the conservative judge a liberal judge? Comey played a large part in getting Trump elected the first time when just before the election, he announced there was an investigation of Clinton. So I guess he was a conservative then, but when he investigated Trump he became a liberal. And I guess Hunter Biden was just convicted because the judge was MAGA. Is that where we are now?
  11. I actually read the linked article and found it interesting. PPP is overflowing with examples of fallacies people use to prove others are wrong. Logic can be hard to find here. In a world of black vs white, grey can be hard to find. Also, politics and logic are completely different realms in today’s world. Truth is what we think we know now, based on logical conclusions from the available knowledge.
  12. This is just him voicing his opinion. You may not agree, but nothing wrong here. It is not the President or government influencing a network as with Kimmel.
  13. It really doesn’t matter. MAGA and Republicans have Fox with 24 hour programming echoing the voice of Trump. Twitter and its algorithm are run by a member of Trumps administration. The are other conservative networks, pods and radio. There is no lack of media pushing the MAGA message. Networks can run whatever they want. Watch or don’t, but government shouldn’t interfere.
  14. In a country with Freedom of Speech, apologies are not required. He may be wrong on the facts but he has the right to say it. Watch or don’t watch. When has Trump and MAGA ever apologized for wrong statements or lies about others. The answer is Never. And that’s how it goes in America.
  15. Awesome video to learn about him and his family. He has so many similarities to Josh and his journey to the NFL, it’s crazy.
  16. Who would have predicted 7 sacks of Lamar and none on Goff? That’s just crazy.
  17. It’s obviously entrapment by the dark deep state against an honest man. Who wouldn’t take the 50k? And they were all tourists on J6 too.
  18. Ok, I got it. So the correct answer is everyone on the right only wishes good health and long lives to those on the left. They never say do or anything remotely considered violent. They are focused, working on their credentials for sainthood.
  19. In the world of comedy, the Kimmel remarks were remarkably mild. Trump wanted Kimmel off the air. So it turns out that Kimmel was let go after pressure from the Fed FCC Chair. Here is Trump using the power of the Federal government in an authoritarian manner to limit free speech. “Earlier on Wednesday, FCC Chair Brendan Carr had urged local broadcasters to stop airing "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on ABC. He suggested the commission could open an investigation and that broadcasters could potentially be fined or lose their licenses if there was a pattern of distorted comment. "This is a very, very serious issue right now for Disney. We can do this the easy way or the hard way," Carr said in a podcast interview with conservative Benny Johnson that aired Wednesday. "Disney needs to see some change here, but the individual licensed stations that are taking their content, it's time for them to step up and say this, you know, garbage to the extent that that's what comes down the pipe in the future isn't something that we think serves the needs of our local communities." Carr praised Nexstar. "While this may be an unprecedented decision, it is important for broadcasters to push back on Disney programming that they determine falls short of community values," he said.” Nexstar stations carry ABC programming. Nexstar owns lots of stations and is trying to merge in a 6.2 billion dollar deal with TEGNA. The deal will need approval from the FCC. Hence the pressure from Carr and the firing of Kimmel. https://www.reuters.com/world/us/disneys-abc-pulls-jimmy-kimmel-live-off-air-after-remarks-about-kirk-2025-09-18/
  20. Well, it looks like the party that was all opposed to cancel culture is all about it now. Interesting, but not surprising. Such is the stupid times we live in.
  21. My understanding is the terror related charge required the prosecution to prove the action was intended to instill fear in the general public. The prosecution did not prove that point. If anything, the issue may be with what the DA chose to prosecute him with.
  22. It’s my understanding that the illegal hate speech must be intended to incite imminent violence. I don’t know of any cases where the courts have ruled that the speech exceeded this threshold. It’s certainly not students protesting on campus, or people marching in the streets. Apparently, it’s not even Trump inciting an angry mob to go to the Capital. The right to allow others to say speech that we despise is the most American right there is.
  23. I don’t agree with Kirk but I do agree with Scott here. There should be freedom of speech but also accountability for those words if your employer feels it reflects poorly on their business. Some idiots have said stupid horrible things. Hate speech is legally protected, but it doesn’t mean you get to keep your job. There needs to be more accountability for hate speech and actions by people on both sides of politics. There was lots of joking from the right about the attack on Paul Polosi when that horrible attempted murder happened and the right seemed fine with that. I don’t see any Dem politicians or other party leaders celebrating this murder. Idiots will be idiots.
  24. If Sandy Hook didn’t wake up the country to gun violence, nothing will. Charlie is added to the body pile for the preservation of the near absolute right to shoot whatever you want to. We have been told more guns makes us safer. Utah is the most gunny state there is and it didn’t matter. There isn’t even a peep of discussion on universal background checks on gun purchases, that 80% of Americans support. Everyone knows mental health is an issue. Everyone knows the toxic lies and hate on the internet is a problem, but there is no legislation to increase liability of the tech companies. Until something changes, nothing will change.
  25. Nice boring win. Hopefully no injuries other than Josh’s nose. Onto Thursday night.
