  1. Oh, please. Being a little sensative? Yes, there is still a place in this world for intense emotion even if it rubs some people the wrong way. It can be quite effective in changing behavior quickly. Coach made his point, and I think those players understood him without being offended. From his story it sounds like that coach got the response he was looking for. Thick skin goes a long way in life.
  2. Geez you're right. Now we know why Marv wanted him to stay.
  3. I caught that one too. Raised an eyebrow for sure.
  4. Imagine the level of medication that would be required to bring Singletary down to Jauron's level.
  5. Jauron would need a lot of meds to get anywhere near Singletary's intensity.
  6. I really like Singletary too. Not only a tough guy, but a classy guy too. I think he can be a very good head coach. Maybe not in SF. Might not be the right crowd for him.
  7. Not a fair comparison. Lynch plays in a Dick Jauron offense.
  8. It's a very good idea, and he deserves it far more than other past pardonees.
  9. Absolutely. History (in Buffalo) will be kind to him. His team has had a dramatic impact on the community.
  10. Agree he'd be a very valuable player on other teams. I think Roscoe is the most underutilized player on the Bills and IMO it's ridiculous that after almost 3 seasons this staff hasn't figured out how use his talent as a receiver. Welker has similar skills and size and he's a staple in the Pats offense. Roscoe if he gets the ball in just a bit of space or on the move makes people miss. He makes plays when he's given the ball. Imagine a defense that had to prepare to play against Lee Evans, a more experienced Hardy and Roscoe as a 3rd guy. That would create some tough matchups for the opposition. Hardy is still learning. Shame on this coaching staff if in '09 (if they're still around) they can't make something special out of the combination of these 3 players.
  11. If the Bills win 3-4 of the last 5, we'll be agonizing over the Cleveland game.
  12. Don't forget to add a head coch to Brandon's list.
  13. That is how it's been. Bills will have a chance yet this year to prove that the past 2 seasons were really about rebuilding and that the added talent and time with this coaching staff was a good investment. 9-7 is respectable (although after 4-0 it's tougher to swallow). 10-6 should get them to the post season and that would be a big step forward. I don't think Jauron can get it done, but prove me wrong.
  14. Point differential is a tie-breaker for a playoff birth when several other tie-breakers don't break the tie.
  15. Keep in mind, Dan Patrick simply read what the writers gave him. The writer has it wrong.
  16. That was a beautifully designed play. Fooled the defense in different ways. 1. play action fake. 2. roll out, QB threat to run. 3. Tight end was short in the endzone and drew coverage away from the back of the endzone where Reed was wide open.
  17. He could have put him in early in the 4th quarter and gotten him some reps at game speed. That might help him in the event he's needed down the road. You could also make the case that Trent needs those same reps. There were other backups that could have played as well at the same time.
  18. Agree on #8. Trent was still running the ball and taking a hit well after it was over. Admire the intensity. My guess is that Jauron and JP can't stand each other. He won't put him in a game when Trent is struggling badly or when it's a blowout.
  19. Until Jauron can lead this team to victories (more than 1) against teams with winning records, his credibility goes nowhere in my book. A lot came easy today for the Bills. Chiefs were bad in every phase for the most part.
  20. Trent played well after the 1st quarter. Played more confidentally. Chiefs are bad. Looked like the worst team the Bills have played all year. Jauron knows how to beat the doormats and the Chiefs are that.
  21. Once again, hopes hang on the mathematical possibilities rather than confidence or being in a good position within the division.
  22. The best thing we as true fans can do is hope the Bills go 5-11. Only something horrible like that will accelerate Jauron's departure. Once he's replaced, we can regain a positive outlook. The Jauron era for however long it lasts will be go down in history much like that of Mularkey, Williams and several others. One to be forgotten as soon as possible. Don't kid yourself people. This coach will never get it done. A win tomorrow only gives us false hopes. Find something to do during games like clean the basement with a TV nearby. At least then you'll have something to show for your 3 hours. My basement will be in great shape before dinner tomorrow.
  23. Never if JP is on the bench. Jauron's phsyche cannot handle the soon to be free agent winning a game for him like he did against the Jets last year. He'd have too many questions to answer. Plus JP might go out there and do something risky like run with the ball or throw it deep. He might even ignore the play the coaches call. Way too much stress for ths coach. Dropping the replay flag on the sideline the week before and not getting the referees attention. Not replacing the QB when he's having a really bad game. See any parallels?
