  1. There is only one way to substantiate the entire argument. All of this opinion and conjecture means little. Only the results matter. We can all look at the numbers (wins, losses and scores) from the past 3 years and draw a conclusion. Chances are when the subjectivity is removed and only the results are considered, we all end up in the same place.
  2. Way too soon to write off either guy IMO. I think they are both capable of overcoming their weeknesses with the right coaching and opportunity. Neither has the right combination of those 2 things now as far as I'm concerned. I would expect JP to play well if he practices all week and starts Sunday. I gotta feeling Trent won't be ready to go this week.
  3. How about being the first team with flexible ticket prices? Charge more for tickets and then refund season ticket holders $20 for each ticket in a losing cause. Have the refund paid by coaches and player salaries in the form of bonuses for wins and losses.
  4. I'm in Chicago and liced through the entire Jauron Episode. Not pretty. Take all of the subjectivity out. Look at the numbers with him as coach in Buffalo mand Chicago. Not very good. Hard to spot any track record or progress that suggests Jauron can lead this team to a playoff victory ever.
  5. Back to the subject at hand for a moment. I don't think it takes a football expert to determine that the Bills need to be fixed. Kinda like the stock market. Several years ago I was not happy with the results I was getting in the market. Looking around I could see that others investing in the same market were doing better. Looking more closely I learned that some had done better over a number of years. I made a change in who was managing the investments. The results improved and compared to those that had done better in the past, I was now on par with them. I have very little expertise in the stock market, but chose a different manger who made different decisions and had a different approach and the results improved. Just look at the Bills numbers under Jauron. Doesn't take much football knowledge to come to a conclusion that Jauron'sw approach including hid decisions on who, what, where and how are not resulting in improved results during his time as Bills coach. Doesn't look to me like doing nothing will provide better results. That looks like a risky bet to me, keeping Jauron in place and expecting much better.
  6. Funny and potentially true!
  7. Rickles might be a good head coach. Seriously, if the Niners don't keep Singletary, grab him.
  8. Me either. Earlier in the game they had 1st and goal at the 7 or 8 yard line. Ran on 1st down to the 2. At that point, on a cold and wet day, how do you not run on the next couple of downs? Bills passed twice before the botched 20 yard field goal. I was furious. Dick, for all his conservatism, takes risk at all the wrong times. Should have taken the "3" when JP missed on 4th and 2 later. That would have brough the bills to within 4 meaning a touchdown could later win the game rather than just tie it. Dick to me, is like a bad blackjack player who plays it by the book but when he has "iffy" cards, makes the wrong choice more often than not. There is something to be said for people who have a "knack" for something. When it comes to offense, Dick has no knack. When you look overall at his use of timeouts, challenges, going for it or not on 4th down, calling run or pass in goal to go situations, he just doesn't succeed that often.
  9. Why would any fan look at the league's worst teams just to make themselves feel good about their own average team? Jauron has had nearly 3 years to hire his own staff, retool the roster and carry out his game plans. Virtually no results. Treading water. Time for a change. The Bills are not competitive for anything other than draft choices in the first half of each round.
  10. Completely disagree. #1, Jauron has a say in personnel. #2, who here really thinks the Bills are getting anywhere near the best from the talent they have? For one, not me.
  11. The Bills don't have a winning attitude because the head coach doesn't inspire that in the players.
  12. Chances are, Marv would have different coordinators and would be running different offense and defense. Apples and Oranges.
  13. Jauron was fired at the end of his second year of his new deal in Chicago.
  14. Probably not if he got a new deal earlier this year.
  15. I've been more realistic than most here. I've been saying so over 2 years that Jauron couldn't win in this league when so many supported him. 7-9 (again) is hysterical and very sad. Sadder and funnier is the front office extending Jauron's deal. Even fans can see what he is and what he isn't. So yes, the Bills are laughable, but still have my support.
  16. This is not an offense that really features the wide receivers. Randy Moss would be mediocre as a Bill.
  17. He's been spending too much time with Trent and the Buffalo coaches.
  18. The primary purpose of this board has moved from support of our team to comic relief. Reading a lot of this stuff is good for laughs. "You can book it" "7-9". Cracks me up.
  19. Yes, it is getting tougher each week to support this team and to devote the time an emotional energy required to do it right. Ralph has a big problem on his hands.
  20. You either believe that both of these guys are pretty good or neither is any good. It would be hard to draw any other conclusion over the past 3 years.
  21. Neither QB distinguished himself today.
  22. You have to be joking. Put Trent's ass on the Bench if he sucks in the early 3rd quarter.
  23. Absolutely crucial game for the Bills. If Trent keeps sucking you have to put the other guy in.
