  1. Agree and his comments are proving to be truer as time goes on.
  2. It says several things. 1. It shows their continued stubborness to deviate from their plan. 2. It shows that the head coach is not strong enough mentally to make a decision that might restart the QB controversy of a year ago. 3. It shows that when observers during the game can see that Trent is struggling with confidence in a very important game, these coaches don't recognize it or refuse to deal with it. 4. It shows again that Jauron is the type of person that cannot handle risk or confrontation. Bad qualities for any leader. 5. Not throwing a pass on their last set of downs is strong evidence that they did not trust Trent to throw the ball in a crucial situation.
  3. Yes, and any offensive coach or head coach worthy of an NFL job knows this and should also know that they have to prepare for the unexpected. Trent's cooments suggest that the Bills "braintrust" told him: study this and you'll be ready. Great job guys. Way to groom your young QB. Suddenly, JPs criticism of the offense last year is gaining credibility.
  4. Until they figure how to use a QB, they shouldn't bother. Better to sign and old vet that has been anywhere other than Buffalo. This coaching staff will just ruin any young QB.
  5. JP and Trent are both talented and have proven that the coaches are teaching and deploying a substandard offensive scheme. Focus on coaching upgrades. That's the only way these Bills will realize their potential.
  6. Saw marty on an ESPN special recently. Sounds like he's done coaching. Really enjoying retirement.
  7. It's amazing how many people around here feel that JP has played his best ball and that he'll never do any better. After all, the Bills have such a rich history over the past decade in developing and utilizing the QB position. I wouldn't count the guy out. He'll leave with incredible motivation. It'll be interesting to see where he lands and what he can do with that opportunity.
  8. Hope not. 7-9 again would be very perplexing.
  9. Jauron's judgement should not be questioned.
  10. Hey, I'm not giving Trent a pass for not passing. I'm simply pointing out that the coaches aren't prepping him right if they don't go through some "what ifs" in the game plan.
  11. Are you thinking that Jauron would want his OC to call a naked QB boot twice in one game?
  12. Wait a minute. If the coaches are so naive to expect the same defense from the opponet that they saw from their previous game tape, they should be canned. Sure you have to prepare for that, but you also have to anticipate what else they may throw at you and have a contingency plan for that. It reflects poorly on the coaches if they practiced against minimal coverages and did not spend some time on other possibilities. Especially with a young QB.
  13. We're not going to like the production from any QB with this head coach.
  14. Lower your expectations until a new head coach is hired and you'll be fine.
  15. Exactly. Bledsoe proved to be a very classy guy.
  16. Lawyer Milloy, no.
  17. Yes. I recall him being quite unhappy each time he was replaced.
  18. They're all in bed. Live a little.
  19. Still waiting for you to clarify the rules of the thread. Come on it's getting late.
  20. Drew got replaced by Brady, Losman and Romo. Just bad luck and timing for Drew.
  21. Do I have to refer to Losman as a disaster to stay on topic or can talk about the Bills making a disaster of his early years qualify for "on topic".
  22. I'm happy form JP. Getting out of Buffalo is the best thing any young QB can do.
  23. I wish Jauron was never hired. However, I think he's in for at least one more season. This recent stretch is his first sign of trouble in 2.5 years. He got a pass the first 2 years due to talent and injuries. I don't see the front office turning on him this quickly. On the other hand, I don't see Jauron turning this team into a team that can win a playoff game ever.
  24. Hard to say. In his only fulll season he has been the best Bills QB in a while. Trent's season looks like it'll come up short compared to JP 2006. Worse numbers and particularly weak in touchdown passes with too many turnovers for a guy who's strength is to move the chains and keep the offense on the field. Take all the emotion and subjectivity out of it, the offense is a bit more productive and more explosive under JP. Trent's preference to keep it short means defenses play closer to the line and reduce the run game as well.
