  1. This thread should be titled: The real problem is Jauron not Lynch or Edwards.
  2. Exactly and compare the demeanor of Shanahan and Cutler to Jauron/Edwards. Cutler's mindset reminds me of Jim "we're never out of it" Kelly and Shanahan is very intense. When the Broncos were wounded in that game they went after the other team in the way they could. Granted it was a weaker opponent, but you have to love the "failure is not an option" approach they displayed. Attitude might be the most important characteristic of any team.
  3. It is inexcusable for a guy making a couple million bucks a year to have dropped that flag on the sideline unseen only to stand there like a potted plant with his lips zipped in font of a TV audience and worse his own team with no intent to get an officials attention. Ridiculous! What message does that send to his team? Horrible.
  4. Not what I said. I am saying that IMO the personality and public face of the coach can add to or accelerate the frustration.
  5. Stoic is only good if you're winning. Jauron is on the same path now as he was in Chicago. There when he couldn't produce wins he remained stoic and unemotional which only further infuriated fans and management. Fans couldn't get him out of there fast enough. The same will happen in Buffalo if he can't produce results. It'll be ugly.
  6. No QB can save this team from the ineptitude of the current head coach.
  7. That choice makes me very uncomfortable. Don't think he can get it done. Cowher would be many people's first choice. Very unlikely in Buffalo. Why not Marty Schottenheimer?
  8. It's the all too predictable game plan by the coaches that allows the other team to know run or pass on virtually every play. No QB would have succeeded last Sunday playing for Buffalo.
  9. Trent can't throw in the cold with or without gloves.
  10. I just can't believe the front office just gave him a new 3 year deal. What the heck are they thinking? At least wait until the guy shows that he can lead the team to victory over any team with a winning record. Hopefully it's not 3 years guaranteed at 100% salary. No way he makes it that long.
  11. Thurman Thomas had many great runs out of the shotgun.
  12. 9-7. Just enough for the front office to still believe that Jauron is the guy. Awful.
  13. Why not? Jauron got an extension and his flop is all too familiar.
  14. I think many of us realize that both these guys are good QBs and that the QB is not the problem with this team. Might be that not a single player is the problem with this team.
  15. What if Wes Welker was hurt and the Patriots traded for Roscoe. Welker leads the league in RAC. You think the Patriots with Matt Cassel at the helm could put Roscoe in that spot and get a lot of yardage out of him throwing him 5 yard pass after 5 yard pass and letting Roscoe run with it after the catch? Why the Bills can't figure out how to take advantage of his talents is beyond me. No way is Jauron getting the most from these players.
  16. One important point to add. The Bills offense is so predictable, even a casual observer can figure if they are going to run or pass on most plays. As posted yesterday, I guessed run or pass before every offensive snap yesterday and was only wrong on 3 plays. 3! You think real players and coaches can do at least that well? The opposition knows what's coming. You can't win doing that unless you are much superior in talent. The Bills aren't. A few weeks into the season, every opponent has film and the Bills are just to darned easy to game plan and defend. Dickie ball doesn't win in the NFL.
  17. Hmmmm.... Maybe Jauron is setting the tone of the game plan during the week.
  18. Jauron disagrees that pass rush is so important. The Bills rarely go after the QB with more than 4 guys and the linebackers are running backwards at nearly every snap of the ball.
  19. I'll say this, JP Losman has a far better chance of winning a playoff game in his career than does Jauron.
  20. 4-3, 3-4 - it doesn't matter. Bills offense is so predictable, the other team has the upper hand.
  21. I like the optimism and the Bills certainly have a chance to get the ship right. Right now, IMO, they can't beat anyone. Not with this head coach and his incredibly predictable offense and bend but don't break defense. These coached are getting schooled by the opposition.
  22. This is exactly the same Jauron that we had here in Chicago. You're not going to see/hear what you're looking for from him.
  23. Football is a chess match to an extent, but 3rd and 1 isn't. Line up and beat the other team for a yard on the ground, or if you're going to pass, at least disguise it with play action.
