  1. Did he play today? Hard to hide when you're 6-6.
  2. I don't think there is anything wrong with the lineman. I think the coaches are setting them up to fail with a predictable running game that allows the defense to jam the line at the point of attack. On many plays, the linemen are simply outnumbered in the exact area where the play is going. I really think the defense knows nearly every time the Bills are going to run, who's getting the ball and about where the play is going.
  3. We're learning that there is more to playing winning football than just completing a high percentage of high percentage passes.
  4. What evidence do we have that he's better? I've seen both play very well and very bad.
  5. He averaged over 25 yards per today. Not bad.
  6. It's a bit soon to throw in the towel on him.
  7. Absolutely not. Not much separates these teams. Surely they have to solve the ruinning game. They look too predictable to me.
  8. We need ESPN to do the "Top 10 reasons you can't blame Trent Edwards".
  9. That's some nice material for this week's locker room bulletin board. Just need to get Conrad Dobler out of retirement to take care of him this week.
  10. Looks like Ralph will have to sell naming rights to the stadium in order to budget for a new head coach.
  11. Looking at Trent's play so far going back to last year. He started fairly well and then tailed off to awful at the end of the year. Started well again and is heading toward awful again. Maybe he's a steaky QB or maybe as teams get film on him, he's easier to defend. Maybe the strong bias to throwing it short makes it easier for defenses also.
  12. That's beautiful!
  13. Exactly.
  14. Tell you what people, the Bills ain't gonna run the ball well against anyone until they become less predictable and force the defense to spread out a bit. Only a great individual play by the RBs will make a difference right now. Teams know when we're gonna run the ball.
  15. It was a great play by the defender.
  16. The middle collapsing should have been expected by the coaches.
  17. Point the gun at Jauron. He approves the game plan and the approach to the game.
  18. I don't think there is a darned thing wrong with the O-line. They're simply outnumbered. Teams know when we're running and who's gonna run more often then not. 5-6 guys cannot block 8 very well especially when so many defenders are concentrated at the hole. Teams know what we're doing. We're making it too easy for them. One last thing. I don't think Jenkins can be blocked. The guy's a beast. Might be a good idea to run away from him.
  19. The Bills need 14 guys on offense. 3 additional lineman to block the linebackers and safeties that are jamming the LOS on nearly every run play. I think the opposition has a good idea when the Bills are running the ball and who is getting it.
  20. Oh, please. Trent has not proved anything yet. A handful of good games is not enough to make that judgement IMO. I'll wait until the end of the season to judge him. Even then, he needs another year for us to look at.
  21. I'm no football expert, but sitting on the couch today after zero preparation for this game, I was able to predict if we were running or passing on most of the plays. Could it be that the Jets coaches who do this for a living were able to that too? Have you noticed how there is little running room for the Bills backs and that the LOS is usually jammed with defenders outnumbering the number of blockers? I'd guess that the Bills offense is a bit predictable. One positive was more use of the tight end today. On defense, the Bills did rush and extra player here and there and had some success with that. It sure looks to me like the coaches are not willing to commit the 5th or 6th rusher very often. Getting pressure with this front 4 is wishful thinking. With Schobel there is better pressure, but even then it's marginal.
  22. I completely agree with you. I'm simply responding to Trent's play in the same manner all the Trentsters responded to JPs play last year. JP was often unfairly criticized. It's just Trent's turn now. This team has had a lot of bad play and coaching from a large cast the past couple weeks.
  23. With the way the QB is playing, you're right. Why take the risk dropping back and throwing it long.
  24. Why is it stupid? He shouldn't have been hired in the first place.
