  1. The Bills at 5-2 are better record-wise than most people's expectations of a few months ago IMO. You're only mad about today if you expect the team to play well every week. No team does that. They all have poor games in the course of the season. What matters is how they respond from it with a tough division opponent up next. Stay grounded in your expectations people. This is still a very young team coached by a coach still searching for a playoff birth and win in the same season after more than 10 years as a head coach or coordinator.
  2. Here we go. Trent's never played a bad game. His results are only bad when the coordinator is at fault. I do agree, however, that did not play "scared". Not well, but not scared.
  3. What else would you expect him to do, run for a couple touchdowns as well and catch a few passes in the "wildcat" formation? Chad played a great game. Give him his due. People on this board are ready to make Trent the MVP of the league when he does the same thing.
  4. Are you joking? Go back and watch the play again. Trent held the ball WAY too long and did not see the rush coming. He played it like he was throwing from the 50 yard line. He played it exactly how people criticize JP for playing it.
  5. A lot of guys reach with the ball like that. Sometimes it backfires.
  6. This is laughable. Get the Teflon Trent rose colored glasses off. He was crappy today in many respects.
  7. 10-6 could win this division this year.
  8. Bill, you're being way too easy on Trent. He had a lot of bad throws and bad decisions today. A bunch. He hit the ground 2-3 times on easy short passes. He made bad turnovers. He held the ball too long when being sacked. He threw the ball into tight coverage. He sat glumly on the bench. If JP did that, you'd have an entire thread to discuss it. Certainly he didn't lose the game on his own but he was pretty bad today. He was outplayed by the opposing castoff QB.
  9. I though the Bills should have been running the ball a lot more in the second half. Ran well on opening drive in 3rd quarter and then it seemed like they got away from it. Both Marshawn and Fred were getting tough yards. The 3 consecutuve pass plays from their own 2 yard line was puzzling and so unlike Jauron. For a minute I thought I was watching the 1992 Houston Oilers. Dolphins receivers were often wide open and Chad played quite well. Trent was equally bad. A couple times the Bills sent some heat on Chad and got to him. More often may have helped. Linebackers backing up from line of scrimmage on pass plays didn't seem to be much of a factor in coverage and McGee looked like a rookie out there.
  10. You think the Jets are an easy "W". Think again. That'll be a tough game.
  11. Edwards had a large hand in this loss. Awful game by him. Bad throws, too long in the pocket, turnovers. Not to worry. All QBs have days like this. JP, Trent, Favre, Kelly, Marino, Elway and even Montana....but make no mistake. Bad game for teflon Trent today.
  12. Exactly. Not yet. Until he wins a playoff game as a head coach, he's still a losing coach IMO.
  13. Wait a minute. Are you talking about the safety? Do you think the QB held the ball for just a bit too long in his own end zone?
  14. A Jauron coached team has never won a playoff game. Prosecution rests.
  15. Agree. Still a ways to go for this team.
  16. Blame him. Teflon Trent has been awful, but fans on this board will give him a pass.
  17. Front offices make mistakes
  18. Bullshyt. Nothing wrong with inner city schooling that teaches the same subjects often from the same text books as suburban schools taught by teachers with the same qualifications. Problem is with inner city parents (or lack thereof) and the lack of commitment to education by these families and the culture that exists among inner city people. It's a culture of acedemic, professional and family failure and it continues with each successive generation that practices the same failed approaches. Now as far as head coaches, I think we're past the point of proving that coaches of any color can be successful and with the pressure in the league to win, I think owners will go with whoever they thinks gives them the best chance to do that.
  19. No kidding. He looks and sounds terrific. Good for him!
  20. Rest assured that Edwards will reach the audible phase and soon thereafter ascend to a god-like being. Bill Walsh will rise from the dead to be GM of the 49ers and will sign Trent to a free agent deal in a couple years prompting Bills fans to declare that Walsh is the devil while those on the west coast worship Walsh as God and Trent as Christ. Jewish fans in NY will convert to Christianity after witnessing Trent (Christ) walk the earth.
  21. Not often enough do we as fans get to see a play broken down like that. Good find.
  22. Defenses can continue to play close to the line of scrimmage because Trent's targets are not deep. The weakness of this offensive scheme is that it does not often force the defense to commit more defenders deep in coverage. That allows them to key on the run game without a big risk of getting beat deep. Marshawn simply isn't running through anything more than very small holes. What yards he gets he does mostly on his own.
  23. That's good! South Beach is seedy Miami fans are as well The Dolphins suck too The Dolphins don't win Since Shula was the head coach Jimmy lost and quit Parcells now in charge He hurries to bring in Chad What will he do next Miami still bad But they did beat New England Lose to Bills again
  24. It's Leon Joe time.
  25. Agree. Not the type of player the Bills like. I blame his father for the kid being such a jerk. His dad was making all kinds of noise and demands about Jr. when Jr. was still in college.
