  1. Uhh, the Jets game last year. He came up huge and there have been others. You could argue that Trent has blown his recent chance with his play the last few games. He hasn't been good at all. However, I really believe that both of these guys are good NFL QBs, but that the coaching (scheme and predictability) are the problem. I don't think Peyton Manning could have led the Bills to victories recently with the complete lack of a running game and a passing game that tips its hand to the opponent so often. No way are these coaches getting production equal to the talent. No way.
  2. 27 plays with no points is just boring. This team is too boring to win a big game. From the coach on down. Sunday afternoon is becoming a good time for a nap.
  3. I don't blame you for being bored. This team is very boring of late. I agree that helmets should be padded on the outside. Maybe bras too.
  4. Jauron does not eat ice cream. Too much fat and it increases the risk of a heart attack, and Dick does not like risk in any form.
  5. Russ Brandon coming out in public giving a vote of confidence to Dick will be the first step in Jauron being replaced. I suspect Russ will be asked that question in the near future if the Bills don't turn it around.
  6. Cassel looks like a very good athlete and you have to give the Patriot coaches a lot of credit for having an offensive plan that works with him in there. That's good coaching.
  7. I couldn't agree more.
  8. Reminds me mostly of nickel and dime. A lot of short passes. Boring.
  9. Who would have thought they would go for Moss on that last play? How about putting 2 guys nose to nose with him at the line of scrimmage on that play and denying him his route and forcing the young QB to go to another target?
  10. Who wants to talk coaching now? Jauron getting the most from his team? Matt Cassel becoming a difference maker. Bills QBs struggling. Hmmmm......
  11. That avatar of yours is anatomically correct.
  12. Fix the head coach and you fix the O-line and several other parts of the team. Too predictable on offense and too cautious on defense.
  13. His chosen path may have worked out best for all. He was spared some of the Hank Bullough era, got great experience in Houston and both he and Ralph came to the conclusion they needed each other.
  14. Playing in fear is a bad trait for a QB. As long as we're speaking about fear, it's a bad trait for a coach too.
  15. When the Bills beat a team with a winning record and they do so in straight up fashion (neither team has a bunch of turnovers or penalties), then I'll adjust my thinking. A good hard fought game between two good teams. That kind of game.
  16. Can't the Bills coaches figure out that Roscoe Parrish can make many of those same plays? Roscoe would be a star on the Patriots.
  17. DJ picking his nose would provide at least a bit of excitement. He's a bore and he has cast a shadow of boredom on the team. .....yawn Time for a nap.
  18. The Bills are a very boring team and Edwards adds to the boredom. I'm nearly falling asleep during these games (as are the Bills players on the field). Give me JP. At least then I can expect a little excitement. Some good and some not so good.
  19. At 4-0 it was hard to imagine the Bills sliding to 5-4. Now it's hard to imagine them winning at all. Certainly the'll win a few before it's over. Adjusted (lower) expectations are in order for this team. It just makes life easier for 3 hours on Sunday.
  20. You're probably right. If we adjust our expectations each year to expect 9 wins or less, we have a chance of feeling satisfied.
  21. I'm coming to the conclusion that both of these guys are very good QBs and that the coaches make it too easy for the opposition to defend the Bills offense. Too predictable and doesn't pressure the defense very offense.
  22. Your premise is that if the Bills stay with a head coach they will eventually achieve a very good record and the premise is based on a sample of 1 coach. I'm not sold on your conclusion or Jauron. Apparently the Bills front office buys both since they game him an extension.
  23. Vermeil brought a track record of succes to STL. Jauron brings a track record of mediocrity to Buffalo.
  24. Oh boy, another DB! Can he play LB or D-line? Jauron probably believes he can. Soon the Bills will field 11 DBs on defense, all playing at least 7 yards off the ball and back-pedaling as soon as the ball is snapped. "You can't be too safe in this league".
  25. I'm afraid we have to blame Marv Levy for this one.
