  1. I was a Green Bay fan while Favre was there. Love the guy. It might be best to just pick a game every week to watch.
  2. Living in Chicago throughout the Jauron era, I can tell you that this is of no surprise to me. Horribly disappointing, but not surprising. Shameful it is.
  3. Ralph has a serious problem on his hands now. We'll see how he responds over the next 30 days.
  4. I've been loyal to JP to a fault. He had a nice oppportunity today. Couldn't get it done.
  5. Neith Trent, JP or Richard Simmons can save the Bills from this head coach. They are doomed to mediocrity as long as Jauron is at the helm.
  6. Hilarious.
  7. I agree. JP might be better off just letting it rip. Seems as though this coaching staff and the previous one tried to limit him using his feet. Some of the best plays I've seen him make are when he's run around and then found someone to throw the ball to. He also had some impressive runs earlier in his career. Obviously that can't be an overall strategy, but let this guy play to his strength which is not sitting in the pocket analyzing. Hell, I'd tell him that when the pocket is collapsing around you and if you can't throw to someone, get the hell out of there. Move!
  8. Maybe he'll improve his "career game" record to .500 with a big game Sunday.
  9. Yes, there's a chance. It would be a remarkable season if that happened after the 4-0 start and the recent slide. Would have a lot of people wondering what the heck happened during the middle 8 games and which Bills team and coaches are they really entering next year.
  10. Getting back to the topic here, I agree that Ralph's hand could be forced by the fans. However, that might be at the end of '09 after Ralph actually witnesses the fans buying fewer tickets. As much as I'd like Jauron replaced, I'd wager heavily that he's still the coach next year.
  11. I'm picking them for the same reason. JP's gotta play his guts out Sunday for his own sake. I think he'll do that and I expect the defense to better than game 1 and I expect the running backs to have a good day.
  12. Completely agree. He'll be playing indoors in a winnable game. Aside from a collapse from his offensive teammates, he needs to play well and back up his claim that he's a starting caliber QB.
  13. Absolutely. Good to know the owner expects better. Good to hear anything from this front office. Where the heck is Brandon? Guy is invisible publically. Jauron, (winning or not) should not be the only public face for this team.
  14. Praise for him is on the steep decline. He is a great exmple of the "peter principle".
  15. Keeping Jauron is a HUGE RISK if you believe that this team has the talent to become a good one with a young core and maybe a few new additions. In keeping him, you're saying you believe that he is capable of developing that talent. If he doesn't get it done in another year or two; then the time, effort and expense invested in that talent (which is then more subject to free agency) is lost. You're betting that Jauron will achieve something he has yet to achieve as a head coach. That's risky as hell IMO.
  16. Yes, blame over the past year has move from QB to coordinator to HC and now up to Ralph.
  17. Sure hope they don't. Can you imagine if the likes of the Lions, Chiefs, Bengals and other doormats were spending to the cap on the crap they are fielding? Usually the younger teams are under the cap. Bills are a younger team. However, there have been a few free agents recently that would have been difference makers for this team. On the other hand, why waste all that money on what this coaching staff is capable of?
  18. In game 1, Bills played soft coverage on "D" and Pennington completed the short stuff all day. Played soft on Ginn and he had mega yards after the catch. Everyone knows Pennington is at his best throwing the short stuff. Not a guy that is likely to beat you deep. Bills have their backs against the wall this week. Let's see how they defend the pass. Do they try to adjust from game 1 and press the receivers at the line of scrimmage to disrupt the routes? Ginn is a smurf, chances are beating his man off the line in a physical matchup is tough for him. Will they bring pressure against Chad or continue to hope that the front 4 can do it alone? We'll see how this coaching staff responds.
  19. Amen. It's not the arm. It's his cautious approach to the game. Looks to me like he's become more cautious as the season has worn on. Looks like a confidence problem to me. Have to remember, these are young guys under a lot of pressure trying to do something that is very difficult. His poise is lacking. He's lost his mojo.
  20. I like JP, but after listening to both of his pressers (today and after last Sunday's game) I'm becoming more worried. Not the brightest of bulbs. He should get a little media training. As for Sunday, if he starts I think he gives the Bills a very good chance to win.
  21. Your seat at the rockpile had an obstructed view. You stood in a long line at the Sears at Eastern Hills Mall one evening to get OJ's autograph during pre-season his rookie season.
  22. Could be. Hope so. It would have made sense to do a deal that early if there were performance requirements to make it effective. That would have been shrewd on the part of the Bills.
  23. That never gets old. Thanks for posting. Just once I'd like to hear Jauron express some angst or enthusiasm. If that happened, we'd be playing Jauron's clip into eternity.
  24. From this week's ESPN power rankings with the Bills now at #21..... If the Bills ever announce a Dick Jauron contract extension, fans might load the Mayflower trucks and wave as they drive across the Peace Bridge. (TG)
