Would You Consider Getting Tre if Cut By the Ravens ?
Lothar replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall
Maybe to restart his Sabres' goalie academy. -
I thought Joe Marino made a good point about Coleman ... that after 9 games, he was roughly on par with the top rookie receivers, 400 something yards, 3 touchdowns. After the injury, he wasn't the same player. I think the fans should give him -and Beane - a little grace considering that Allen wanted Coleman specifically, and he was doing really well. If he doesn't move forward this coming year, then have at it. Same thing with Kincaid. He had a top 10 all time rookie year for tight ends. Let's give him a chance to move past his injuries. I'd like sure-fire winners with my top picks also but that's not necessarily a given at the back end of the round.

Marcus West only got promoted last year after former DL coach Washington left for the Bears so maybe this past year gets a pass. Besides special teams, this is the one area of the coaching staff that feels like a weakness. Even the better free agents we sign underperform while here. And then they look good when they leave (Poona Ford). Something about our scheme is amiss. Maybe it's because we don't let our best lineman play upwards of 70 percent of snaps? Maybe it's a position we just draft poorly? If so, it makes sense to trade a high pick or 2 for a difference maker. Or start looking for better coaching. Imagine we get someone to help out D line the way Kromer helped the OL.

FINAL v3.0 now LIVE on p.15 - Gunner's 2025 Mock Draft

Where does Deone Walker rank among the 1Ts? Supposed to be very large and quick for his size, apparently showing it at the Senior Bowl. (Edit: Sorry, I see your comment that you weren't too impressed - could you elaborate?) Also, I think it's fortunate that DL is a strength in this draft and OL a relative weakness. We should be set on that side of the trench. -
The AFC Championship game is not sold out yet

In comparison, I was looking online for Superbowl tickets and they were in the $7000 - $10000 range so these seem relatively cheap! -
Let's see where members are watching the game today?

Trying to decide if I should walk down to the sports bar here in Vancouver Washington to watch on their 40 foot screen. Or stay home and watch and pace the floor while my wife tries to keep me calm ... what to do, what to do. -
I believe it's because he's a waiver claim and not a free agent - once the playoffs start, rules change.

Perfect.

Defense is built to stop average and below offenses.

You know, I used to feel this way back in the Kelly Thurman days also. Be a high risk, high reward defense because your offense is probably better than the opposition. If you get a couple timely sacks or turnovers, that's almost the ballgame. But Walt Corey's defense was kinda like this one. Bend but don't break. And that was with Bruce and Bennett! That's where you need a creative coordinator to change things up. It feels like the Bills' personnel (smaller and somewhat slower across the back 7) limits options. -
I agree somewhat but it's also why I'd like to see Elam getting more reps. It's important to have man corners when we pay teams like the Rams. Joe Marino mentioned coming into this game that Stafford was 30th or 31st coming into this game against man to man. Our primarily (very good) zone corners got beat by even better zone busting receivers and a head coach completely in his bag. This was one of the few games where Babich and McD had no answers.

Ravens vs Chargers MNF game thread (no Bills talk please)

Earl Campbell and his tree trunks for legs would be part of this conversation. -
I think it's that the more quality defensive lineman are available, the better our opportunity to get one. I think we may draft more than one if Daquan really has hit the wall. Oliver needs a solid 1-tech next to him and those can be found on day 2 and 3. But hopefully we also find another pass rusher?

Yes! I just heard Jim Nagy on Sirius (he scouts players for the Senior Bowl) say this will be a great year for defensive line, both inside and outside. He also said this will be a bad year for the offensive line. That should work well for the Bills!

Locked On with Joe Marino is solid. Off Tackle with John Fina and the Buffalo Rumblings crew is both entertaining and informative. Cover 1 with Greg and Anthony is good. I also like the Film Room with Cover 1 (Eric and Anthony Prohaska as well) but AP's own solo show - as much as I love his takes - can definitely drone on for 60 minutes plus.

Marvin Harrison Jr., Ohio State - Cardinals Rome Odunze, Washington - Giants Ladd McConkey, Georgia - 49ers Brian Thomas Jr., LSU - Bills Xavier Worthy Texas- Chiefs -
Coleman has no separation skills. That's not going to work for Allen.

I think this is a silly argument. Kincaid has now proven himself and will likely get the lions share of tight end targets. We will run a lot more 12 personnel and disguise run/throw options better with Knox back.

Dude, you were a lot more rational and measured with your responses when you lived in Portland. It's a long season. Enjoy the story.

If Keenum is cut by the Texans, we apparently lose the Edmunds 3rd round pick. We need to either ensure the Texans keep him or we need to trade for him - Joe B says 6th or 7th but he might actually be worth a 4th to us in that scenario.

Congenital? Congenial maybe? 🙂

Not sure if this was mentioned among the discussion about jumping the Cowboys to get our pick but I heard a Peter King interview yesterday and he said that KC was also targeting Kincaid in the 1st.

TSW Mock Draft 3.0 Poll - Who should the Bills take at #27
Lothar replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Van Ness should be a top 15 pick. I think other than JSN, I'm not sure I go WR in the first (even though I like Addison and Flowers). I'd pick Van Ness if this unlikely situation came up.
