Stadium Construction Discussion (No PSL/Seat selection posts)
BillsPride12 replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree with both points...the new stadium will actually be much louder than highmark But at the same it will lose some of its blue collar charm and atmosphere 😕 It was bound to happen at some point. Just thankful for all the memories and great times we've been able to have over the years. This old barn will surely be missed -
Buffalo is a Sacred Place to Play a Football Game
BillsPride12 replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah that's understandable lol. It just sticks out to me because I've been to about 10 or 11 Bills road games and the Saints fans were awesome. Super friendly and engaging and Saints gear all over the city. It's also another one of those cities that has their own very unique culture. It surprises me, I feel the Saints fans NEVER get any recognition at in these best fanbase conversations lol -
I remember in the 90s sports teams and gang affiliation was a big thing. Not something I've really thought of one way or another but guess I didn't realize that was still a thing. Sidenote: It's kinda wild to think about how mainstream gang culture was in the 90s 😂

I gotta give a shoutout to New Orleans Saints fans as well. Most underrated NFL fanbase in my opinion -

I've always said when your team is good it's a chance to showcase your city, your fanbase, gameday atmosphere etc. and it killed me during the drought years and for how long we were bad for I felt like nationally people forgot how amazing the football scene can be in Buffalo. But then the Josh Allen era came around and have put Buffalo back on the map and then some! It's really surreal seeing Buffalo and Bills fans constantly being showcased now. There was a long time I doubted we'd ever see anything like this again -
Yeah I said that somewhat in jest. Obviously they do have a good Defense. But I see some people list Denver as a legitimate Super Bowl contender and I think they rate them based on their Defense and I just don't see them on that level where they can carry them to a Lombardi. This isn't the 2015 Broncos D

Seeing the moves(or lack thereof) Beane has made and listening to his rant on WGR earlier in the year do you guys think Beane might be operating with a hint of stubbornness?

It was so much fun, I wish there was way to retrieve that thread haha. Oh man The Undertaker I had forgotten all about him. There were some great members on that old BBMB board that I wonder what happened to.

Not sure if you were around the old BBMB boards about 20 years ago but there was a thread where everybody started creating old school WWF aliases and just going back and forth with each other. It was an absolute riot. I was Rick The Model Martel

I disagree nobody outside of Buffalo acknowledges it. I've traveled to alot of away games and talking to other fans in real life those Bills Super Bowl teams are generally viewed as pretty iconic. ESPN even made the 30 for 30 about it and it was portrayed in a positive light.

It's funny because I was pretty young during the Super Bowl runs and my memories/perception was always the Bills getting smoked by the Cowboys in both of those games but when you look back at the 2nd Cowboys game the upset was there for the taking. I watched the Cowboys documentary on Netflix and didn't really remember or maybe was never aware that there was already alot of turmoil and dysfunction within that Cowboys team at that time and the Bills should have been there for the taking in that one.

But if the Chiefs do it then it becomes an entirely different narrative since theirs would come with Lombardi trophies. I hate, hate, hate saying this but if the Chiefs get to a 4th one I think we go back to being only known as the 4 time Super Bowl losers instead of the only team to go to 4 in a row
