A true legend. He will be forever linked to the Buffalo Bills for all the classic battles we shared in the late 80s and 90s(and yes I will give him his due for owning us during the 70s as much as that hurts) Does not matter to me how much time goes by, those Bills Dolphins games during my childhood in the 90s will always be legendary to me. RIP Coach, 90 years is a hell of a run

Bears decline 5th year option on Trubisky

That's how I've always perceived McMahon. So I'm not sure I would agree with the other guys statement that the Bears have NEVER had a real quarterback. -

You wouldn't consider Jim McMahon a real quarterback? I'm not being a smartass just asking a sincere question. That Bears era was before my time so I'm curious. I know he wasn't elite by any means but I always thought he was considered a legit starting quarterback in the NFL. And yes I'm completely aware it was the Bears defense that carried the team then. -

Bledsoe, Moulds, Travis Henry, Takeo Spikes, London Fletcher, Pat Williams, Sam Adams, Nate Clements, Lawyer Milloy. It always felt like we had legitimate playoff caliber talent back then and it was in their earlier years of what the Bills playoff drought would become so I didn't feel like we were straight up cursed at that point. I felt like that was going to be the beginning of the new Bills era....if only I knew what was to follow

WWF circa 1993-1995 will give us plenty of material to work with -
For me the two that stick out were 2003 and 2004. Both of those seasons I actually had high expectations for the team(but I had completely forgotten we started out 1-5 in 2004 until I started seeing some of you mention that), after that point there was never a time I truly had high expectations or believed in the team until this current group. Not in 2008 or 2011 after those great starts we got off to. Not during the Marrone or Rex Ryan years so for me 2003 and 2004 were definitely the most frustrating but not necessarily the most depressing..which could be a whole different discussion in itself.

This has probably been done before I'm sure but I don't recall seeing it done recently and I've been going back and bingeing on Cheers(up to season 4 currently) on Netflix because that show was a little before my time and I never saw it before. So that was part of my inspiration for this thread, curious where that show would stack up on people's all time list and just curious in general what people's favorites were. My top three: Seinfeld Married with Children The Simpsons seasons 1-10(if we can count them)

I'll give you my Mt. Rushmore list since to me there's 4 guys that stand out on a whole other level that there was nobody else I could list with them at #5. To me the all around best I've ever seen that had the total package of in ring ability, on the mic and promo ability and natural charisma were: Ric Flair Macho Man Randy Savage Shawn Michaels Stone Cold Steve Austin It's hard for me give the number 5 spot to somebody because if I based it off in ring ability I would give it to the Hitman Brett Hart but if I based it off of personality and Charisma I would give the nod to Hogan. -
Those guys are great. You couldn't have found a more perfect fit for Buffalo talk show radio than those two guys in my opinion. I've always felt like they are very in tune with the spirit of Western New York any time I've listened to them. Will be a sad day when they call it quits.

I agree I think if they just told a chronological story it would've been more dull. I think this helps keep it more engaging. For the people having trouble understanding the timeline, they are telling two stories intertwined with each other. The basis of the Doc is all of this unreleased footage they had following around the Bulls during their last championship season in 97-98 hence the title The Last Dance. Within that story though they are also telling the story of the Rise of the Bulls dynasty from the time Michael Jordan was drafted to acquiring the other pieces to finding the right coach and coaching philosophies to winning their titles right up until that final season. I can understand why people are getting confused but if you understand the story they are telling I think it works.

It only gets better and better. Episodes 3 and 4 it really picks up. I can't wait for episodes 5 and 6 this weekend

Personality and background wise it sounds like he is going to be a great fit in Western New York and will mesh well with our guys. Do not underestimate the fantastic job Beane and McDermott have done bringing players with the right character fit. I LOVE the team we have been building.

Probably seafood somewhere because that is not something I'm getting for takeout

I didn't go into that Houston game expecting to win. I didn't expect to lose either. I was just happy to be there. Going forward I expect to win playoff games. A New Era indeed

Bills need a 4th quarter song

This would actually be perfect. I could def picture the crowd at New Era going into a frenzy at the beginning of the 4th over this. Play some stuff over the Jumbo Tron LOUD LOUD LOUD LOUDER THAN HELL....I can totally envision it -

And yes that is great advice for us poor folk. But it doesn't apply when you are making 500 million! -

It won't matter what our 4th quarter song is this season with no fans cheering in the crowd -
Article: McDermott Concerned about PSE Dysfunction

Yeah I remember when 716 first opened my two immediate thoughts were: 1) Man this would've been cool to have during the 05-07 Sabres runs 2) This will be great when the Sabres become a legitimate contender again(at that time I was still optimistic that Pegula was gonna bring us back to glory). That was really the only level of excitement I had for the place And yes all of WNY was electric during those years! I have been trying to catch some of the Sabres Classics airing on MSG right now showing all those playoff games and it was making me think about how fun it was to live in WNY during those years and what an unbelievable atmosphere it was. Buffalo in the Spring when the Sabres are a legit playoff team is one of the most fun places to be! -

It would be a cool novelty if the Sabres ever made the playoffs and brought back a buzz to the downtown area when everybody is looking to go out somewhere to watch the games but sadly that hasn't come to fruition. But as a stand alone restaurant agreed and I think most people feel the same. -
Yeah I was excited when it was first announced but also thought it might've just been a puff piece because MJ was always very protective of what he let the public see but after reading some articles about it he said he didn't leave any subject off the table and some of the things that will be discussed include his gambling problems, his father's murder, the fact that he knows the public perception of him is not good etc....once I read about that I got really excited. This could end up being the best 30 for 30 yet. So far I think the NBA ones have been better than the ones about NFL teams.
