  1. I've never heard that story before, what happened?
  2. She's definitely do-able no question but am I the only person who can't stand her on air personality? She comes across as an idiot to me on the Get Up show Rachel Nichols? YES
  3. Your reaching on this one buddy. I also love McCoy and he is one of the most popular Bills players. Horrible Harry has the spirit of a Buffalonian though...no frills, a guy that is gonna work his tail off and has the passion for the game not just here to collect a paycheck and live the NFL lifestyle that some guys only care about. I guess you could slap the blue collar tag on him as well as it would be appropriate although that's not necessarily where I was going with this. Basically his personality will play well with our fanbase. I have no idea why you are so confused by that statement.
  4. This kid is going to fit in well in this town. Same can be said for all of these guys McBeane have brought in though. An exciting time to be a Bills fan
  5. I remember that game. After the game he said that he learned you don't give up until the play is over from Bruce and Thurman and Andre etc. and talked about what it meant to put on a Bills jersey. He played with those guys in his rookie year and for the longest time was the last true link to the glory years and I always associated him with that. There was another time(Miami snow game 2002?) where he talked about how in the Winter time in Buffalo you don't wear sleeves, its about mental toughness and once again credited learning that from Andre, Bruce etc.
  6. Wouldn't surprise me, Mularkey didn't seem to know about a lot of things going on out on the field
  7. It was the opposite for me. Grew up in WNY so obviously the Bills were the big thing in town but my Dad wasn't a diehard fan, more casual, too caught up with work back then to really care etc. I got my fandom from my Uncle and Grandpa. Over time my Dad became much more into the Bills because of my interest in them and nowadays he is a much bigger fan than when I was growing up.
  8. This! I love football and all and also follow the NBA and NHL, but I actually enjoy this time of the year to be honest. It's refreshing to not always be tied up with following sports. I try to soak in summer as much as I can and I guess I get my sports fix in from playing golf during the summer. But from a watching perspective, I enjoy having this time to watch movies and other tv shows, listen to music, do stuff outdoors etc...I never find myself bored during this time of the year and welcome the break from watching sports.
  9. It's crazy I don't think anybody realized how low the Sabres were going to sink when the Pegula's took over, but I'm optimistic for the future. We might still be pretty bad next year but we do have some young talent to build around in Eichel, Dahlin, Middelstadt for the long haul.
  10. The Sabres are getting awfully close to creeping into that list
  11. Underage drinking....now that was a fun era in life
  12. time really flies by ...Russ would be really excited with all the good stuff going on with the Bills right now
  13. So lots of good replies and a lot of variety which is what I was looking for. For me I have two defined "Good Old Days" eras...1) Childhood years filled with Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, backyard football, street hockey, watching Bills games with family, the relaxed atmosphere of elementary school and just hanging out with friends all the time. 2) Later high school through college years- trying to get laid, high school house parties, fake id's, going out drinking 3-5 nights a week, and once again just hanging out with friends all the time. Two eras that I always look back on fondly and wish I could re-live knowing there's no going back now
  14. That and it was the pre-technology boom. Don't get me wrong technology can be great but there was something special about the simpler times that I miss
  15. So obviously this is a very subjective question which is what will make it fun. Everybody at one point or another has used the phrase "The Good Old Days" but I think it means a little something different to every individual. So how would you describe the good old days as it relates to your life personally? This thread may or may not have been inspired by the fact I watched the movie The Sandlot this morning
  16. The show didn't really clarify that but in all honesty and without trying to sound like a Bills homer I think the 90's Bills would qualify for both. Those guys had alot of fun playing but were also involved in some amazing games to watch back then. I remember a professor at college I had was from the NYC area and a huge Giants fan and once told me that even though he hated the Bills he had to admit that the Jim Kelly Bills teams were the most exciting team ever.
  17. The K-Gun offense that was ahead of it's time, Hall of Fame players all over the field, Craziest fans/loudest stadium to play in during that era, players with charisma off the charts, the epic snow games against Dan Marino. The boys getting together at Jimbo's house after every big win to party it up all night, "Nobody Circles the Wagons like the Buffalo Bills", Greatest Comeback in NFL history, Van Miller on the play by play. Jesus dude did you even watch the Bills back then?
  18. I gotta admit I just got a nice chuckle from your response
  19. Seems to be consistent with what everybody else has been saying about Allen. I certainly think he has a chance at being a legit NFL quarterback with his natural ability and work ethic. Time will tell
  20. So i was just watching a show called Top 10 that I recorded on my DVR recently(apparently the show originally aired back in 2013 though for what its worth) and the topic was Most Fun Teams of All Time. The criteria they used was interesting to me since they said it couldn't be a team that actually won a Super Bowl(is there any team out there that was more fun than the 85 Bears!?) But here i am thinking well than one of the Buffalo Bills teams of the 90's will be on here for sure and they even teased a commercial break with Christie kicking the game winning field goal in the Comeback game at one point. But the whole list goes on and not only was there no mention of the Bills teams back then, they didn't even get put in the best of the rest category aka honorable mentions. They had the 91 Atlanta Falcons with Jerry Glanville as their number 1 pick. I can see that team being in the top 10 but not number 1. The 90's Bills teams were absolutely one of the most fun runs you will ever see in professional sports history regardless of them not winning a title. Anyway who do you guys have as your most fun teams of all time?
