  1. I'll be honest, I've proof-read college papers that were less coherent than this. They didn't graduate, though...
  2. Hmmm... ...now, I'm not going to say that McCain's body was kept on ice and ultimately substituted for Epstein in prison. But I can't prove it wasn't...
  3. I don't know that he's that bad...
  4. It's not even "antics." He's good enough for a backup...but because of the "controversy" surrounding him, he becomes an instant QB controversy if any team signs him as a backup. No franchise will willingly court that sort of instant roster mess.
  5. Nope, gatorman still posts every damn day...
  6. Because the narration is so seamlessly weaved in to the plot, switching between the interrogation and action, that it barely feels like narration. It was brilliantly done. But it's still no Goodfellas, which was pure voiceover narration that seamlessly and effortlessly blends with the visuals. It's still a crime Goodfellas didn't get Best Picture over "Dances With White Guilt."
  7. No, Rami Malek's performance was the best part of the movie.
  8. Really going out on a limb there. Any other bold opinions you'd like to state? Chewbacca > Jar-Jar Binks?
  9. May as well include Mama Mia and Bohemian Rhapsody too, then. Hell, why not Tommy, or The Wall?
  10. I was going to mention Purple Rain, but I felt it violated your "music is the movie" stipulation.
  11. You misspelled "cello."
  12. Not everyone can be as lucky as you and work in a laundromat.
  13. No, nobodies talking about it.
  14. The Blues Brothers. Kill Bill Vol 1. Guardians of the Galaxy. Baby Driver. Seriously, any movie that sets a car/gun fight to Brighton Beach Rock has a good soundtrack. But again, Goodfellas is still the gold standard.
  15. @Deranged Rhino This thread needs to be made into a feature film. Get on it.
  16. The Usual Suspects. Carlito's Way. But Goodfellas is far and away the best use of voiceover narration. Scorcese is an absolute master of that technique (e.g., Casino and Taxi Driver.)
  17. That "desire to see her grandmother" excuse would seem more sincere if Ihlan Omar wasn't initially accompanying her.
  18. We're not signatories to the 1856 Paris Agreement that outlawed them. Though we do traditionally recognize and abide by the restriction. Don't think Iran ever has, though.
  19. I honestly don't think Trump's smart enough to know what a letter of marque is. But I hope he does, and I hope he tweets about it. Just imagine the shitstorm that would trigger.
  20. "Important text message" is an oxymoron. That's your problem.
  21. Congresscritters aren't bound by the Logan Act. They can meet with foreign leaders, even overseas, as part of their 'authority" to "investigate" for "legislative" reasons. Of course, that's not why the Democrats do it...because Democratics think Congress is an advocacy group, not a legislative body. (And another reminder: Pelosi met with Assad in 2007 as Speaker of the House, specifically to undermine Bush's foreign policy. Just because she has broad latitude for this, doesn't mean she's not abusing it. And she's not the only one to abuse it - Obama's 2008 Presidential campaign include a swing through Western Europe meeting with world leaders.)
  22. So the RN seizes the ship, the prize court refuses to condemn it, and we issue a warrant on it? Someone's going to issue a letter of marque before long.
  23. "Babylon Bee stories are among the most shared, therefore people think it's real." I mean...this is the ultimate expression of "BUT THERE'S CONSENSUS!!!" research methodology.
