  1. This is always the excuse from Bills fans why he was moved, yet doesn't he have a pending DUI while with the Seahawks? Shouldn't that have been strike three or did the league reset him to zero strikes when he was dealt? Or maybe he wasn't so close to facing as year suspension as everyone believes. Seattle didn't seem so worried about him facing a serious suspension.
  2. I'm not surprised, everyone here pretty much said the same thing, they had no idea why he was brought here to not play. as for anything else about winning and culture, is he not the 3rd string QB for the Seahawks? He is not much more to the team then anyone else sitting in the stands basically so its not like him being there is a big part of them making the Super Bowl
  3. He had an incident today during Media day. He lasted an entire 6 1/2 minutes answering questions before walking away. Its assummed his agent (or someone) reminded him of the potential for the $50k fine he was let out of if he was a good boy and answered media questions when he refused earlier this year so he came back and stood there for the remainder of the 45 minute session doing an interview with the Armed Forces, Deoin Sanders and another group while signing autographs for fans and the members of the media shouted questions that he ignored.
  4. I would be more impressed if he was able to turn some mid round draft picks on a line into Pro BowlersIn Buffalo he had Kyle Williams (a previous Pro bowler), along with Mario (Previous Pro Bowler and #1 overall Pick) and Dareus, a previous #3 overall pick to work with
  5. Shredd & Reagan were talking about a news report in Washington where theres a butcher selling Beast Mode Sausage, its a smoked spicy pork sausage with Skittles in it
  6. Yes, in Buffalo its the fans that demand he be fired immediatly after the hire because there was someone they thought would be much better and obviously would have been willing to come on as their coach. The Bills front office waits atleast 2 full seasons until they relieve the coach of their duties or have them resign
  7. I see someone slept in and didn't get there in time to wear his Blue Jersey............
  8. When they did that contest here in Canada they offered 4 new "flavours" you could buy and had to choose one, that was one of the four (Along with Cesar Salad, a maple one, and one I can't remember). The commercials for the contest had Martin Short In Canada, I believe its Presidents Choice (a brand offered through Zehrs and No Frills stores and some other affiliated) had a Wings and Blue Cheese flavour of Chips here too. They weren't bad I wouldn't call your flavour original though as it has been done before.
  9. only if they were actually orange ones........
  10. What team has a playbook ready for their 2014 season? What players have been given this playbook to study or look at right now? Besides going out an attending the Senior Bowl, what have any other coaches or front offices done to prep for next season as of right now? The Browns still have employees and scouts who are out watching and scouting guys (and as I said previously, they have access to scouting reports and videos even if they didn't attend the actual event). And if they are interested in someone like Pettine, he has personally attended the Senior Bowl practices and taken a look first hand at the guys there. You really think he has only focused on just defensive players and knows nothing about the guys on offence? Especially if he knows he has a good shot of getting the HC spot for the Browns? of course it would be better for the Browns to have had the spot filled already, but its not like they are going to be years behind because they don't have a coach in place before the Super Bowl is over. My argument was only over the fact that Pettine was in attendance for the Senior Bowl with the Bills, if he gets the Browns job then their new Head Coach isn't really behind because he has attended that event, just with a different team
  11. Not reallyI would think that almost any coach in the league has an idea of the basic style of system his team would run, and hires the coordinators accordingly. Do people really think that Pettine has no idea who he would hire as his coordinators or what kind of offence or defence he would try and implement if he got a Head Coaching job? It would take less then an afternoon for just about anyone who understands football to take a look at any teams roster and be able to get an idea of what kind of strengths and weaknesses the team currently has and get an idea of what they could do with the team. Throw in the fact that pettine has inside knowledge of the league and a better understanding of the game then most arm chair fantasy GMs also so it should not take him long to get a basic understanding of what would be best for him if he got the HC job. The Browns still have a scouting staff and employees who attend games like the Senior Bowl and will be doing their evaluations of all the players also. Plus they have the ability to obtain other scouting reports and videos of the players that might interest them. It isn't like if they don't have a guy there looking at a certain player, they can't get info on them. The only disadvantage that the browns have right now is that the longer they wait, the smaller the list gets of potential assistants and choices for co-ordinators available to them as the rest of the teams fill their staffs and make choices.
  12. Not necessarily, if they chose Pettine, he was in attendance at the Senior Bowl, except he is there on the Bills dime and not the Browns. I'm sure the Browns also have some employees down there too that can take notes for them for the new staff thats hired
  13. The fact that the player was Whitner, he sucks, and everything he does is wrong because he was drafted 8th by the Bills over guys that people here had bigger hard-ons for.
  14. If the were (or someone else) were to take Pettine away, It might be possible to get the Browns Ray Horton as DC (if he hasn't been picked up elsewhere yet)....
  15. Edwards, basically the Bills defensive version of Nate Hackett
  16. Ryan reportedly just signed an extension for some extra years, he's probably not going anywhere next offseason
  17. I believe they were banning sanitizer in prisons cause the inmates were using it for the alcohol to try and get drunk
  18. well, IIRC, Jerry Jones came out and gave his support to say that Garrett has his full support and is staying, so that usually means we can expect the firing any time now..............
  19. I bet they find it near Juliens place in Sunnyvale Actually, I think that he had this exact same car for a little while, hmmmm............
  20. Well it was either retire or get fired, looks better to retire and say you left on your own terms
  21. I can understand GB having some trouble selling out this game, they had to go to game 17 to find out if they would even have a chance to get in and if Rogers would be back to play, but you would have figured once the fans knew they were in they would be sold out. As for Cincy and Indy, they both have known they were in for a bit so theres no real excuse, unless they use the old Bills fan excuse of the fans are just tired of winning and attending playoff games like the Bills fans from the early 90s were.........
  22. Will he live for 7 years playing behind the Bears o-line? I figured they might re-sign him, but not for that long, maybe a couple of seasons until they can prove he is able to carry the offence
  23. if they are going to take a QB, it has to be early, and has to be someone who would be an immediate improvement over EJ. They have enough late round Development guys on the roster (Dixon, lewis and Tuel), adding another isn't going to help. If they still think EJ is the guy here, but they want to upgrade the QB position and have depth in case he gets hurt again, then they need to look at FA for a veteran backup, not another guy that may have potential. If one of the top guys that has the potential to be a day 1 starter is there when they pick and they think he can be better then EJ in 2014, they should take him. If not, then stick with what you have or go get someone in Free Agency
  24. Spoke just a little too soon with this one Houston isn't as big of a mess as you think, they have alot of talent already there and can get a huge upgrade at Qb with the #1 overall pick. Question will be if the new college coach is anything special and can be successful in the NFL. Detroit is very similar, with alot of talent already in place, going to depend on the new coach and what they can do with the talent there
