  1. Yeah, the sabres are following the highly successful Edmonton Oilers path to rebuilding a dynasty, such for a few years, get the #1 pick, Free Agents will fight to sign here cause they have a good 18-20 year old to lead them, then watch the Cups pour in. Right now they are just as close to becoming a good team as they are being decades away from finding success. They need a bunch of kids to develop into superstars, along with winning a lottery AND convincing FAs to sign here. A pretty locker room and a multiple arena with a sports bar usually aren't major selling points to signing FAs
  2. Why should he? Apparently he sent a message out to the players, why should he also send something out the "fans" who have been cropping on him and driving him out since he started? I wouldn't blame him for sending out a big 'FU' to the fans for "all of their support". Nothing was ever good enough, and they all wanted him out anyways, even after he took the team to their best record in years, which of course was in spite of him....
  3. Incompetent at running a fracking/gas business, No Incompetent at running a sports franchise, possibly. It's funny how it's never his fault though. So far he has had 2 employees abruptly leave, another well respected person tell him no thanks to helping
  4. Funny, Marrone can be blamed for the offense, but then get absolutely no credit for the defence, yet 2 separate co-ordinators came in and both were just as successful and Marrone was the common part both years Whaley is praised for being so great, yet it was Marrone who fought for an upgrade at QB as Whaley was going to go into the season with EJ, Tuel and Palmer. Everyone blames Marrone for the offense being so bad, yet they blame Orton for being bad and not being able to hit open receivers.
  5. Lol, selling off hone field advantage? No one stopped Bills fans from attending those games and cheering on their team to make it "home field". Instead fans stayed at home throwing temper tantrums about losing a late season game that would have been a blackout threat to bring the organisation in some much need funds. This from a fan base that wanted Ralph to remove his name from a building he didn't own so that naming rights could be sold for a fraction of what the team made spreading the joy of Bills football to Toronto. It's always funny to watch the tantrums thrown here by "fans" trying to run guys out of town because they think someone is the main reason for this team not being a contender every year, and thinking things can't be any worse. Comparing this franchise to Oakland? Oakland fans wish they could have had the Bills last decade.
  6. Nah, AP would be welcomed with open arms, he was never an ex bill so even if he would be a liability/issue, he's a big name superstar player who never played herrw, so none of that applies
  7. Isn't it obvious? Russ has been here while the team was bad, therefore it means he is the reason they were bad, duh But I always thought he wasn't well regarded around the league and other franchises laughed at the Bills for having him run the team?
  8. It's a better option then Cutler...... At least Schaub costs less and at this time isn't being run out of Oakland like Cutler is in Chicago
  9. Sanchez played well in Philly? Did you watch even highlights of any game after the first one? Vick will be a starter next year for someone? Maybe in another league but not the NFL Go back to Madden and leave talking football to those with some levels of knowledge......
  10. As much as I dislike him, he was not the problem in NY, the team was poorly run above him. He was a decent coach but was given over the hill former superstars and bad QBS to work with
  11. "Fringe NFL fans" have no idea who Suh is and are not going to tune into a game to watch some D-linemen play This has nothing to do with ratings The NFL has little power anymore to discipline their players anymore cause now whatever they do us either too little or too much and the players will fight to have it overturned.
  12. Yeah, no way, keep that horrible human being away from here, we only want upstanding fine young gentlemen like Richie Incognito here, not horrible malcontents that are huge parts of Super Bowl Championship teams......
  13. Yeah, hurry up and make a move, all the good teams have fired their co-ordinators and all the good replacements have been snatched up and signed with better teams! WHAT ARE THEY WAITING FOR!!!!! Wait, only one team has fired a co-ordinator so far? Only SF, Chicago, Atlanta and the Jets have fired coaches? No one has hired replacements yet cause its only 2 days into the off season?
  14. I don't get all the live for Reich, he was a decent backup QB here for Kelly with very limited coaching experience in the NFL. He has never been a head coach and very little experience as a co-ordinator. I don't see him stepping into any head coaching job and turning the franchise around. It wasn't like he was the co-ordinator for a top of fence for multiple years, or won anything as a top college coach
  15. This was a move changing the $24m of the deal from a "skill" incentive to an "injury" incentive (or something like that, im sure incentive isn't the correct term though for it). Basically he will now receive that $24m guarantee if he is injured And apparently it doesn'thelp their cap, just frees up additional cash to spend
  16. Bradford, like RGIII and a few others have the talent to be really good/great players in this league if only they could stay healthy, and that's the big problem with them
  17. If Suh played on the other side of the ball people here would be all over bringing him in to play guard and bring that nastiness to the o-line, he could play guard on the other side of Ritchie!
  18. More genius posts here about knowing exactly what role someone in the organization involved and how they are the reason for the team not being successful. Russ Brandon is far from the problem here and won't be let go unless he wants to go. No one here knows how much of a football knowledge the guy actually has, they just assume since he has a background in business he knows nothing while giving their opinions on the football side of things based off of their experience running their fantasy team and reading websites for "insider info" He is also not or ever been the "face of the franchise", ask football fans outside of Buffalo who Russ Brandon is and I bet 99% of the response would be "who?" You could call Fred Jackson the "face of the franchise", and he has been on the field through a lot of the bad, should he be run out of town too? At least he suits up and plays the game and is part of the wins and losses........
  19. I always assumed you had to punt it. Punts may get more hang time, but typically a kick off the tee will be deeper
  20. And you know this how? By the Bang up job he has done with the Sabres? Theres a difference between building in Hockey and building in football. Hockey has the luxury of being able to take a few years to rebuild and tell your fan base "Its ok, we have talent coming up through the minors" In Football they don't have that luxury, also the sheep over at the arena are being led to believe all the crap they have seen up til now will be all worth it cause McDavid (and then it became McDavid/Eichel) will be picked up to save the franchise and have them swimming in cups!
  21. Blue on blue uniforms??? FIRE HACKETT AND MARRONE!!!!!!!!! Whaley is obviously against this and will fire them immediately after the game for making the team wear this look!
  22. I get risk vs reward in this situation, but this is like jumping over a set of railway tracks with a train 10 feet away to save an extra few seconds. Picking the Browns over the Colts is a better risk vs reward
  23. If he's trying to make up ground, why would he pick the Bills in this game where it's highly unlikely they win, it's not like the odds makers have the game close, this would just put him deeper in a hole......
  24. Few things, so losing a game that no one expects the Bills to be competitive in to a super bowl contender is going to push head office closer to firing Marrone? If they expect to lose badly, why would this push them to consider firing him anymore then now? Second, so the defence is supposed to be elite, playoff worthy defence, yet everyone's expecting Manning and the Broncos to. destroy the Bills by blowing them out? If the defence is as good as people call them, shouldn't they be able to keep the game from getting out of hand or high scoring? But obviously, a lose, no matter how much of a blowout or how close will have this board throwing wild tantrums with calls for Marrone and Hacketts heads immediately with cries about how bad this team sucks (except for a few players or the defence)
  25. The only logical explanation? Did you see what genocide looked like when he threw the ball? That's why they ran it 90% of the time, also because it worked. They moved the ball well just keeping it on the ground. The worst part watching this game was how they were praising the dolphins and tannehill for the comeback win, against a 2-9 jets team that just ran the ball all night and missed a bunch of FGs. Buffalo wins that game and everyone talks about how the Bills were bad and how horrible the other team was, but for Miami it was some impressive win and showed how great their QB is?
