I'm not blaming it solely on the refs, but last time I checked, the games tied if they don't make 2 bad calls to negate scores and Bills win if Carpenter knew how to kick a FG. Refs don't call every positive play back on the Bills and I bet they don't lose their composure and start taking all of the personal foul calls. I can say from experience that when you start getting bad calls made against you, things get hot and composure is lost.

The Jets may have beaten (or will beat) the same teams as the Bills (Colts and dolphins) but the difference is the Bills appear to have beaten both teams and looked solid doing it. The Jets have won but both teams but don't necessarily look like they beat them soundly. They seem to have won those games because the other team played poorly and kept giving them the game.

I'm tI red of the entire league and coaches who are too scared to tell the truth and whats really going on about the Pats. When Tomlin was so furious about the headsets week one and said it always happens here he cowered when asked if it happens anywhere else. Instead of standing up and saying yeah it happens here he just said I'm only talking about tonight which is either saying it happens everywhere but I'm blaming tonight's game on it or I have been instructed I can not say anything about them

and you know that after every win we beat a bad/overrated team and after every loss the team that beat them is just hands down a better football team in all facets of the game. I don't think the Jets scare me or should scare anyone. I think the dolphins team is better and the Jets are overrated

And if the Bills win we will here more excuses about how the win wasn't good enough and excuses on how the dolphins should have won and are the better team despite the loss (or that they aren't any good and we should look at the win as anything more then beating a bad team.

But what did the games and their opponents look like. Close losses to really good teams (for example Packers, Seahawks, Broncos, patriots, etc.) making them 0-2 isn't the same as 2 losses to the Bills and Jets where the team has struggled in almost all areas......

In Week 16 the playoffs are decided by the wins you get facing teams best players only But it doesn't matter if you destroy the Pats with a backup QB starting for them or squeak out a win playing against Brady. Its quite possible they brought Cassel back because he was able to come back cheap and be a veteran insurance policy in case something happened to start the season and TT looked bad or got hurt. So far he has looked decent, and they may have believed EJ would be starting if TT went down in a game with Cassel just being the #2 to fill in to finish a game and for a good lockerroom presence. With the recent injuries to some starting QBs Whaley started receiving some calls about Cassel (or made a few mentions he could be available) and figured they could get something for someone who doesn't have a future with the team. They can free up a spot now and possibly look at some of the guys that are UFAs now too if they feel they need a third guy on the roster, but may not feel thats necessary because TT and EJ have shown them enough in practice and on the field to be capable or they can trust them
