Wrestlemania 30, the streak is over!!
apuszczalowski replied to Security's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Of course, but do you or others openly mock others for watching them? I don't think it was much different when it comes to the blood, except that recently I believe the WWE said they were cutting back on the scripted bleeding/cutsBack in the day though (like the 60's) it was more about the actual technical wrestling, with the winner being pre-determined. Now its more about the acting and trying to create feuds/storyline then whats actually going on in the ring. Its cheesy, its fake, its entertainment to some, I would never mock anyone for watching it though (not saying you or anyone here really did), Its just that most times the reaction to anyone that talks about it is "you know its fake" or "Can't believe you watch that, its not real" -

i always laugh at the comments from the "haters" just because wrasslin' is fake. Yeah, everyone knows, just like 90% of everything else shown on TV thats "fake" and written by writters. Did you laugh at all your friends who watched Breaking Bad or Game of Thrones, or whatever else is hugely popular on tv "because its fake and scripted"? As a kid I was a big WWE/F fan, I knew that the outcomes were written/fake, but the only ones that seem to care about that are the ones who laugh at it because they think the fans who watch it don't know and believe its real But I will laugh at the reactions to the people in the crowd who were stunned and really upset that the streak was ended by Lesnar -
maybe your just bigger and can eat more now?

Yup, thats him, went to UFC but had some weird illness that almost killed him and he claims he caught in Canada fishing/hunting IIRC and then he left UFC. He came into the WWE first, left for UFC, and has now come back. The best are the .gifs that can be found all over the internet of stunned members of the crowd after 'Taker lost. And yes, 'Taker is 49, started out in the early '90s I believe with the black and purple attire, coming to the ring with Paul Bearer and an Urn, then went through many changes that included getting more goth, becoming a tough biker, and then going back to being "the deadman". You knew it would be coming to an end very soon for him and he would end up losing one of WM matches which will more then likely lead to a full retirement, just figured they would have had someone bigger/more respectable in the industry end it for him, and not Brock Lesnar. (Triple H, Micheals, his "Brother" Kane, etc.) Must say, haven't really followed it much in over 5 years though, but always intrigued to occasionally check out the results from WM, or watch a few minutes to see whats going on -
Bills should play Lions on Thanksgiving Day
apuszczalowski replied to bisonbrigade's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
True, and what story lines are there going to be for a Lions/Dolphins game? And I would think the same amount of people outside of Miami/Detroit are going to care about that game as a Lions/Bills game -

I think the team will be put up for sale as soon as possible, and I don't think the lease will be a huge deterent. The team may not leave for 7 years, but that doesn't mean they won't get a new owner prior to that. You could have a potential owner that will look at the $400 million opt-out and decide that he could keep the team in Buffalo while a new stadium is built elsewhere, then relocate when its ready, or he could look at it and say that purchasing a $850 million dollar team, plus spending $400 million on the opt-out making a purchase price of $1.25 billion is still worth it to move to a bigger market. That price isn't far off from the value of some of the highest valued NFL teams. According to Forbes, the cowboys are worth over $2 billion, the top 10 NFL franchise are all valued at over $1.2 billion, and the average of all the franchises values are at $1.17 Billion. Fans not only will have to show their support by selling out every game, but they will also have to show increased support from their wallets.

Its not very hard to figure out what comes next, the fans will continue to pour in their praise for Wilson and talk about how great he was to Buffalo (meanwhile less then a day before they were talking about how horrible of an owner he is because he is cheap and only cares about money, and how he has to sell so we can get a new owner who will care about the team and spend). Then in some time someone from his family or the team will come forward and announce how the team will continue to operate as normal until a new ownership group is found. Fans will go back to complaining about how he didn't make provisions beforehand to ensure the team stays forever in Buffalo. People will also come up with many other crazy ideas that could be done to make sure they stay Then out of nowhere, Jon Bon Jovi comes flying into town on an 80s rock guitar cloud, announces he has just purchased the team, changing the name to the New Jersey Bills, but in a weird twist says they will continue to play out of RWS in Buffalo (If NY teams can play in Jersey, why can't a Jersey team play in NY?)

Pryor wants out of Oakland - you want him?
apuszczalowski replied to major's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Again, he doesn't want to go somewhere that he is going to be a backup, he wants to compete for a starting job NOW, and with EJ already here, he isn't going to get the chance for an open competitionHe might as well stay in Oakland if he is willing to be a backup until Schaub gets hurt (or continues to play like he did last year) Pryor isn't going to be handed a starting job anywhere this offseason, but there are plenty of other places he could go and sign with that will give him a better shot at starting then Buffalo -
Duffs wings to be sold at RWS
apuszczalowski replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I figured it would be something that would be sold in the club/box seating where you can sit and eat, makes more sense. The "boneless" nugget/tenders make more sense for the general seating area. The mess and potential for throwing hazards from the bones would be too much (lots of sporting venues won't let you have the cap if you buy a bottled beverage because its a potential throwing hazard) I think that having some of the local restaurants in both RWS and FNC are great ideas. Some problems may arise because of cooking times, and your probably not going to get the same quality because they have to do things even more efficiently and in higher quantities, but it would probably attract more people inside the venue to buy food if they get something better then generic venue foods. It might not be a bad idea for the Bills to look at removing some of the seating areas to create some lounge/standing room areas for fans to hang out and eat/drink during the game and still be able to watch whats going on. Different venues are doing things like this now, Dallas has the bar where the players come out, and I think some sideline areas too, some ball parks have areas like this in the outfields (Toronto removed the glass from the restaurant in the outfield to create a better area for fans to watch the game while eating/drinking). RWS is already too large of a capacity for the area, removing some seating might help with sellouts. -
For whatever reason the Bills are on Family Guy.

I think it was Joe that says that... -

He wants out of Oakland cause he wants to start, why would he come to Buffalo to be EJs Backup? He will end up somewhere that has no Qb yet where he will have a chance in a QB competition -
Fat, Drunk and Stupid is the new healthy
apuszczalowski replied to The Poojer's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I wouldn't be surprised if its true. How many diet fads come and go saying that you should do something or eat more of something, then after a little while something else comes along and the last way is wrong and you should be eating more of/doing something else? How many times do you here a study come out and say that a certain food is better for you, then that gets changed and its another food that you should be eating? The key to being healthy and being well lies more in being active and doing things, then just what you eat. How many have older relatives that grew up coming and eating with lard or high fat foods, yet they lived long lives? many of them also led more physical lives where they didn't spend all day sitting behind a desk or watching TV, they were out doing physical work all day. They did more then just go to the gym a few days a week for a couple hours to get some physical activity in -
I never understood why both sides can't just agree that its possible that both evolution and creationsim could exist together? Could the "Big Bang" have been created by some god type being that used it to create a world that would evolve and change? Why is it so hard to believe that the world didn't start with us being closer to apes then what we are today?
