  1. No, what we forget is 2008, when he had TB for all of about 7 minutes before losing him for the season to a knee injury, and yet his system with Matt Cassell still squeezed out an 11-5 season and only missed the playoffs due to some screwy tiebreaker. BB sucked in Cleveland. But unlike most NFL coaches who suck initially, he actually got a lot better at his job.
  2. Oh it's cool, I get it. It was the expressed certainty, not the sentiment, that I found a bit off-putting. Personally, I'd love it if the Pats* never sniff another S.B. as long as I live. I just wouldn't put good money on it. (As least as long as the hooded one is their coach.)
  3. Oh, didn't realize you already know the future. My bad. Three games into this season, with the parity in the league these days I think there's a dozen teams that have a good shot at the championship. Including last year's AFC champs. The only teams that definitely are not in the running are the ones firmly at the bottom of the league.
  4. "as for winning a championship with NE, those days are gone" Is there another way to interpret this? Please, do enlighten me.
  5. It was traced back to the opening of the Two Bills Drive PPP forum.
  6. Right. Because losing the Super Bowl by 4 points in the last 57 seconds, a whole 7 months ago, after a 13-3 regular season, clearly shows that they are now firmly at the bottom of the league.
  7. Amidst all the "Fitz sux" threads (and FTR, I find his inconsistency maddening, both game-to-game and play-to-play), I found it interesting that while Fitzpatrick is currently 12th all time in games played for Buffalo as QB, he is already 5th all-time in franchise passing attempts, completions, and yards, and 4th all-time in TDs. Barring injury, he's a near lock to move up one slot in all of those categories this season. He also holds the franchise record for longest completed pass, and longest TD pass (the same one, to T.O. a couple years ago.) Source: http://www.pro-footb...eer-passing.htm
  8. (Hmm, firefox seems to have eaten my reply. Try #2:) I'll definitely try to make it to Busby's for a game sometime this season, but right now it's hard for me even to make the games at Ixtapa. My 6yr old is in soccer Sunday a.m., and I'm helping coach the little rug-rats. I'm flying over to Pasadena right after practices, breaking a half-dozen traffic laws, just to catch the 2nd half of the Bills games. Santa Monica might as well be on the moon!
  9. I bet Welker would take a pay cut to stay with the Pats, rather than be traded to a non-contender if it came down to that. Dude's probably really hungry for a ring, and he knows his window of opportunity is closing. If he hits free agency after this season, that's a different story, since some contending team will likely pony up a reasonable offer for his services.
  10. It flew directly over my building at about 12:15, quite low. Totally rad. The F-16s waggled their wings.
  11. Well, I guess that's one way to make your brown eye blue. (Apologies to Crystal Gayle)
  12. Travis Henry was just spotted barrelling Northwards at high velocity, stiff-arming anyone who tries to get in his way.
  13. There's going to be a shortage of shortages? In short, I'm pretty sure that means I should go short soybeans. I'll do so shortly
  14. You'd vote for Stalin and Pol Pot, but only if they were nude? That's just nasty.
  15. Gerbiling is a gateway activity to Dragoning.
  16. [quote name=KD in CT' timestamp='1346008663' post='2541550' btw, here's another link with a pic of the would be hero at the bottom. The girl's family might have a lawsuit for false advertising. http://www.dailymail...hoto-shoot.html That dude looks like he'd have trouble holding up a camera for more than 3 seconds. Must have been working on a tripod.
  17. She's known for her beautifully flowing routines.
  18. I wanted a set of Blue Balls, but they were out of stock, so I just went to Hooters for a couple hours. They should change the promo code to SUCKITCPSC (Actually I did buy a set of nickel bb's)
  19. Starting early plus consistently counting fast from the very first time might gain an advantage. The penalty sequence that ensued seemed out of proportion to the offense, especially considering how inconsistently the rule is applied. I agree that the whole "the game ends when the ref feels like it" aspect of soccer is pretty goofy.
  20. Of course Abby would never in a million years stoop to speeding up her counting to exaggerate the apparent length of time the goalie held the ball...
  21. Opportunity is still operational and drivable after more than 8 years of operation. Which means we currently have 2 RC vehicles driving around a planet >150,000,000 miles away....
