Watching Rex Ryan slam his headset at the end...
Spiderweb replied to Spiderweb's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Now, if the NFLPA & NFL can get the darn CBA in place, we can also watch them implode with salary cap issues. That is, assuming a cap will still be part of the agreement. At least he can now go home a play with that "wife" of his until he gets back on his "feet". (edit: Rex with Tasker post game, "well be back and we'll win this sucker..." Piss off you loud mouth jackwagon.) -
Have we Ever gotten anything from the Raiders?

51-3 But hey, the game (1st half) was the most awesome performance we'll likely ever to see from the Bills. I still recall holding my 4 1/2 month old baby daughter while watching the game. She slept the entire game....in my arms. -
10 Worst NFL Free Agent Singings of All-Time
Spiderweb replied to TSNBDSC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Langston received the most by far, yet none of these guys cost the Bills or performed as badly as those on the list. Langston, overpaid, but he at least gave us a RT who could stay on the field and do his job with some level of decency. Jeffcoat for a couple years played responably well as a spot/rotation guy. Quinn had 110 catches his first two years with Buffalo, and lost his job in his third year to Eric Moulds (who exploded in 1998). The guy on the other side was someone named Andree Reed. Quinn played behind them. Eddie Robinson cost us very very little, which was deserved as he gave us very very little (except for the enormously embarrassing whiff on Pennington) in return. -
Bellichek's arrogance costs the Patriots again

Maybe....but the underneath stuff to Welker would have been more effective had the Jets had to account for Moss. -

No one around here has thought of the Patriots as a classy team. -
What a warm, friendly, informative guy he is! At least the Homeless Hoodie has been sent packing along with his whimpy (talented, yes, but whimpy none the less) QB.

All of these Defense Coordinators getting fired
Spiderweb replied to Chuckknox's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dumb and Dumber Possibly irrelevant this time..... Have you all been in a coma? Wannstedt anyone? You've must have missed his recent visit. Nix and Gailey don't appear to be the splashy types you need to fulfill you. You must be of the Billboard ilk. With the LB coach let go, Wannstedt brought in (look see), you fail to see Nix/Gailey's dissatisfaction with the defense? There's also a talent issue which no amount of coaching will fix. Developing Troup, Carrington, Moats and adding a healthy Merriman and HOPEFULLY an FA or two along with a strong draft, may well be just what the doctor has ordered. -
One can hope.....

Ex-Dolphins bemoan state of franchise
Spiderweb replied to Amstel's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ah, Mr Wonderful, who is anything but..... Like them or not, it's the first time in a long time that the Bills actually had football people making the decisions, instead of the Brandon, Levy, Jauron circus. It will take time to undo the damage done by them, but it today's "I want it now" mentality, they must be failures......... -
Stat on how many down linemen ? Defense
Spiderweb replied to San-O's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If we don't have guys on the DL that can take on blockers and gooble them up, the oppositions OL will have yet another field day firing out on our LB's. Nice to have monster LB's, but even they need some horse up front to keep the oppositions OL off them. Horse then Cart, not the other way around. -
Our Choice of the Top Four Defensive Players
Spiderweb replied to HumbleAndHungry's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The other guy to whom you refer is Marvin Austin, 300 lbs plus, strong and quick. -
Quinn, at the College level anyway, looks as much like Bruce Smith as I've seen since....Bruce Smith. While not quite down to the level of Bruce's, he has a nice shoulder dip to get under the OT and plenty of quicks to close on the QB. He could still go fairly high and possibly real high. Would love to see more tape on him. Did see some brief clips of UNC against Boston college and he was able to beat Constanza fairly easily.............. Marvin Austin form UNC, and a member of the group kicked off UNC for accepting gifts from agent(s), could also turn out to be a player as well, but not explosive as is Quinn.

For those of you that want Lee Evans gone
Spiderweb replied to RealityCheck's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's always best to dump one's better players and create more holes, when already enough exist that two or three drafts can't fill. Pure genius. ..............and thankfully you and the "nay sayers" don't make the decisions for the Bills. Yes, it's quite possible to be worse than the Bills brass and many here have displayed that already. -
Cookie, a zany individualist before that was more acceptable. Extraordinary talent, running, catching, blocking and even played LB while in the CFL, playing on both offense and defense. Should be on the Wall......
-
Whew, thankfully you weren't around to witness O.J's first couple of years as there was nothing special in them, yet he went number one overall in the draft.

The player that needs cut the most?
Spiderweb replied to Buffaloed in Pa's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Stroud wasn't pushed out of a job, so who replaces him? I agree he's a liability these days yet unless serious talent is brought in, he may be the best option as much as I'd like to be able to wish him farewell. Stroud, a vet, won't be viable depth unless his pay is adjusted to be paid like veteran depth. When he no longer starts, he would be a cut far more likely than being "depth". -
Poz extension waiting for new CBA
Spiderweb replied to Tortured Soul's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's absurd... The unwarranted bashing many here give Poz is beyond ridiculous. He may not be a star as of now, but he is a very solid player and solid players warrant considerably more $$ in today's game. To all those that bash him relentlessly, cut him and then see what's left, absolutely nothing. Zero LB's, with the possible exception of a guy who's been extremely limited due to injury for a couple years. Nice thinking there "Geniuses". Urlacher money, no, but due a considerable pay raise, heck yes he is. Simply unbelievable.....
