While this is all very true, after watching him the past two years, I believe I saw a great athlete and exciting college QB. But I have a hard time believing his skills (running) will translate well in the NFL with any consistency over time.
With all the contract purges, I sadly believe we will have rough go of it again unless the draft lands us crucial pieces at multiple positions. I dont yet see us as anything but weaker so far. I surely hope not but at this moment, last year looks like a mirage to me.
I can't simply because i watched him the last two years in Louisville, the area where I live. Great athlete, simply not the accurate stong armed passer needed. I say. Get off this bandwagon......Now............
I didn't like it either, but during the early years of Monday night football especially, it happened. Much of it was self promotion, sure. However, the football media played into it as well.
Accuracy is Jackson's achilles heal. Tape and the combine showed this is lacking with Jackson. Combine also showed less than desireable velocity on his throws. And sadly, the wonderlic score does matter. How much? I hope we find out by watching Jackson play for another team, just not for the Bills.
Wonderful. You'll take a much weaker arm and only a tick better completion percentage. In the two year of watching Jackson here in Louisville, I came away with him being a great athlete and an inaccurate passer with less zip on his throws that you would like. Did you hear of hin poor velocity at the combine? Allen may be another bust but Jackson doesn't look any better.
I guess the Bills didn't need any of the players acquired to date? Why didn't McBean see the Bills were only a TE and WR away from greatness? Still time...still time
It didn't work because he has hands of lead and far too often couldn't catch a cold so to speak. Watched a few Pitts games when he played and I believe he had 4 - 5 bad drops in one game alone. Great athlete otherwise but zero hands.
