  1. Ken Walker gets the edge for possibly being available @57, imo.
  2. Perhaps. Your "once and for all" implicitly recognizes that McD so far has not invested a high pick on cb2.
  3. You need to go visit the KC Chefs board for perspective.
  4. I think Beane may trade up for Stingley or Jameson Williams if he can pull it off (the latter is my preference.) CB @ 25 makes a lot of sense, though. I've been rather hoping for Booth if that's the case. Obviously, I'll root for whoever is the pick. I'm guessing you are Florida fan, so I'll take your word for it.
  5. Maybe this is part of a conversation that provides context upthread. Are you saying Hill is not a concern because Tua is weak at qb or are you implying Hill is an easily replaceable commodity, because the latter is risibly untrue. He's arguably the most explosive wr talent in the league.
  6. Just about my least favorite possibility. He doesn't tackle well . . .
  7. Oh, well, I am Dawgs fan, love Davis, but that is not good asset management, imo. I would trade up for Jameson Williams, Sause or Stingley. DT you really shouldn't.
  8. Jordan Davis is going way earlier than folks think. He's not getting close to 25.
  9. Well, I'd use any combination of players and next year's draft capital to go get Jameson Williams. I think if we are reticent, someone like KC will swoop in and everyone is going to regret it for years. Among other things, I do not want to hear the media crowd gushing about the next Tyreek Hill and Mahomes. Give me Williams and Kenneth Walker @57, then go db and oline, sign a vet cb or trade for Bradberry, hopefully with some salary retained. IF we stick at 25, Hall may be the option that is most appealing. I sure as hell don't want that cb, Elam, and I'm starting to think there are more medical issues with Booth that are causing him to drop. (Alternative: include Poyer as part of compensation to move up for Williams, still trade for Bradberry. Poyer's salary helps offset Bradberry's -- then draft Cine in the second, James Cook in the third. (Yes, UGA bias, but it was a stacked team.) But then again, I still think you could trade back a bit and grab Hall. Pretty sure the draft needs to hurry up and happen so I can retain a semblance of sanity and get on with life . . .
  10. Go listen to the first twenty minutes of today's NFL Live. Jameson Williams is well worth trading a late first rounder from 2023. If we don't, someone else (like KC) will.
  11. I dunno. I have directv streaming. I googled it and read there was some issue few years back and they don't carry NFL Network. Anyway, it's not on my menu and I have one of the upper end packages.
  12. No way she was making 80K annual.
  13. When I first read your post, I thought you were swearing at me.
  14. I'm biased against Philly and she doesn't speak Polish, so I can't quite follow you there. I do like her or Jane Slater as replacement, though. I recently switched to Directv and they don't carry NFL Network, so doesn't really matter to moi.
  15. Yes, I am advocating for trading up from 25. I would spend next year's first if it meant grabbing Jameson Williams.
  16. It's a good counterargument. I usually agree with you, so I'll add some credits on the other side of the ledger. I would mortgage next year's top pick . . . it's going to be late.
  17. Davis is not locked in. I think he is going to be a solid #2, but he's actually been inconsistent. A few outstanding games do not make him a sure thing. Regardless, I think Jameson Williams can be electric scary as a receiver and adding him would supercharge the danger of Josh Allen and the passing offense. I would trade up to get him -- and also to keep him away from KC and GB. If you are just thinking in general and saying WR in college is producing more pro ready players, yes, that's true, but that doesn't mean one pretty good receiver is as good as another.
  18. Yes, Walker is an unknown as receiver. If you are emphasizing receiving skills at rb, go get James Cook later in the draft. If you want a rb to take the tough yards running burden off of Allen, I think Walker is a guy to consider. I would prefer not to use a first rounder on a rb, though if they do, I'll be hoping Hall is the second coming of Thurman Thomas. (I also think you could probably trade back from 25 and still get Hall, btw.)
  19. I agree with this, but you don't have to pick rb in round 1 to accomplish it. If you are just talking running ability, Walker @ 57 is better and imo a better resource management fit. Spend 1st rounders to control cost at premium positions.
  20. I think he will probably be around in the third. If you are picking rb at 57, it's probably Kenneth Walker who doesn't have a track record as receiver, but that doesn't mean he can't do it and he's the best runner in the draft, imo. (And I am an UGA fan and very much like Cook; would be happy if we get him.)
  21. Yep, and if you factor in the new going price for top WR, it makes much more sense to invest 1st rd at that position to get five years of controlled cost. I'll repeat myself one more time: I think if you are Beane, assume late first next year is what you are dealing if you trade the 2023 pick. The top of the draft may allow for slightly less pay out to move up, because it appears to be a buyer's market since there are no marquee qbs. I just read the Giants may have cap problems fitting in two early round firsts per what salary is slotted for those picks. Beane and Schoen, one presumes, have a very good relationship. Get ahead of KC and GB, and all those clever folk on TV that just can't wait to "it's just not fair, but wouldn't it be great?" see Jameson Williams helping out Mahomes. The next Tyreek Hill needs to be in red, white, and blue.
  22. CEH is pretty much universally seen as a disappointment and is generally used on the "don't take RB in the first" side of the argument. I won't hate Hall if the cupboard is bare at other positions, but for me, CB, WR, OL, are above RB on team needs and I also think Kenneth Walker is going to be the better pro, but if Hall is Thurman Thomas redux, of course you want him.
  23. Happy Birthday, Joe.
  24. My strong preference would be to trade up for Jameson. Lot of pundits playing GM talking about KC trading up for the next Tyreek Hill. No one mentions the Bills. We need to be proactive. There are three cbs I would be good with in the first as well; Sauce, Stingley, and Booth. The only one of those players that might fall close to 25 is Booth. This is a year where I hope Beane's good relationship with Schoen allows a trade up to 7. I absolutely would trade next year's first, which you have to believe is late, hopefully 32, in order to grab one of the few dynamic players at a position that merits the first round pick.
  25. He might be an outlier, but I don't think the Bills draft him.
