  1. I think there's a lot of smoke here. It's not like Ivory was a cheap deal for a backup RB. The urgency for these signings before free agency hints at Bills not using all 5 of their top 100 picks and a goal of accumulating some comp picks next year. Let's not forget the Bills traded up for Jones and Dawkins last year.
  2. As absurd as the original post initially sounded, everything should be on table to get a franchise QB. Dawkins right now in my opinion is worth somewhere around the 10th-15th overall pick. Tredavious is worth around the 6th--9th overall pick. Would you trade Tredavious straight up for Mayfield? Or Dawkins plus pick 21 for Rosen?
  3. Loved him coming out of UCLA. Lots of injuries though and drug suspension last year. His father also killed 3 people according to the google machine. Guess we gotta bring 90 guys to training camp.
  4. A quality left tackle with 3 years left on his rookie deal is worth a high 1st round pick. Maybe not #2 overall, but if Giants asked for Dawkins I wouldn't give up more than a 2nd round pick and Dawkins for #2. And I'd have to be pretty damn sure Glenn is gonna get healthy.
  5. I actually thought that was a smart winning play. Refs fault for not blowing the whistle when he had un-impeded path. If he stopped, he would've given Carpenter a free attempt.
  6. If you're gonna give up a 2nd and possibly more for Foles on a 1 year deal, might as well go all in and trade up for a Rosen, Darnold, or Mayfield.
  7. That's a lot of money for McCoy's backup.
  8. Very telling that 2 teams now have either traded him or let him hit free agency. Only takes 1 team to over-pay him, but can't see anyone giving him a long term deal at #1 WR money. Can see him getting a Alshon Jeffery 1 year prove it deal.
  9. Its a buyers market when it comes to QB's. Can't remember there ever being this many free agent QB's available who can play in addition to as many as 5 guys in the draft with 1st round grades. I highly doubt anybody's giving up a 1st rounder for Foles. There's always a high demand for QB's but never this much supply.
  10. Foles makes so much sense for Bills. He's an upgrade over Taylor, and on a similar contract. You get better immediately and it doesn't stop you from taking a QB in 1st round. Only thing it probably prevents you from doing is trading up for a QB, but I don't think it's too early in process for Bills to know what it's gonna cost and who they'd want to go up and get, and have determined that's not the route they wanna go.
  11. Any reason Gesicki not getting more buzz around here? Guy blew up the combine and was hugely productive at Penn State. Carolina had an elite TE in Olsen when McBeane was there.
  12. How can a guy test so bad who all the draft experts had as a 1st round pick? How does his lack of strength and athleticism not show up on film?
  13. I remember watching the playoff game between Oklahoma and Georgia think Brown is extremely sloppy looking. Doesn't carry his weight well. This confirms he's gotta spend more time in weight room and less in buffet line.
  14. Earning the right to try QB before he switches positions isn't exactly a ringing endorsement. I guess you could say that about JT Barrett too.
  15. Wilkerson is the type of DL you need if Bills are ever gonna beat Brady. At his best, he can push the pocket and live in the backfield. I'd gamble on a 1 year deal with him. McBeane should load up on DL this offseason.
  16. Wilkerson can certainly play. Maybe he'd take a Vontae DAvis type deal to earn another big contract and stick it to the Jets twice this year. He can probably play anywhere on our DL and we certainly need the help up front.
  17. This is exactly what Bills would've had to do with Dareus if we didn't find a desperate playoff team to take his contract on at trade deadline.
  18. Lagarrette Blount signed a 1 year deal for $1.25m with incentives with Philly last year. Ivory isn't gonna get more than that. It'd be a good signing given Bills needs for a better power RB to complement McCoy.
  19. Keep Tyrod and go after Bridgewater. Bridgewater isn't gonna stay in Minnesota if vikings sign Cousins.
  20. Humiliation is the least of his worries. Might be some leniency if he did this on some isolated roadway. The fact that he did this in the Lincoln Tunnel means he's gonna go to jail for awhile.
  21. 2014 proving to be a nice QB draft class. Amazing how Cleveland somehow managed to find the only draft bust out of the top 5 QB's, and then turned around and traded away chance to draft Wentz and Watson.
  22. Drafting at 21 is certainly an advantage over Cleveland, Jets, and Denver when it comes to signing free agent QB's not named Cousins. Nobody wants to be the next Glennon.
  23. Makes too much sense for Cleveland to trade for Tyrod. At some point they have to stop accumulating draft assets and try to win some games. Whichever QB they take at #1 has almost no chance to succeed this year. Taylor is the perfect guy and has perfect contract to bring them back to respectability before handing over the reins to Darnold or Allen.
  24. Exactly. No decent free agent is coming here when the Bills are obviously interested in a 1st round QB without getting a crazy contract like Glennon. As much as most of want an upgrade over Taylor, the guy is respected in the locker room and under contract for another year at a reasonable number.
