  1. The TE route from the punt formation that the Giants sprung with Mark Bavaro (?) to beat San Fran in the NFC Champ game was a good one.
  2. Hansen. His 1995 (from memory) season was 10 sacks and about 120+ tackles... (memory may not be that good!). He averaged almost 6 sacks/ season in his 10 years, not sure tackle count.
  3. http://football.calsci.com/Positions.html ...seriously though?
  4. Kelly Slater... introduced surfing "outside" of the typical wave zone... Olympic Lifting- Dave Rigert formally the USSR
  5. As an alternate source: Jonah Lomu- Rugby Union.
  6. Was it Brandon Spoon who tore his bicep in his rookie year also?
  7. Chris Doleman #56 and Hugh Douglas #53 come to mind, equally as bored.
  8. I'm not sure of what the stats are on continuing a pro career after microfracture, but after reading what he can't do and with Marcus Jones as my last Bill who didn't return to the field following this sugery, i'd say no. It's almost cruel to make him run now, i wonder how bad his leverage would be, being a hip bender due to pain and weakness in the knee rather than a leg bender, possibly.
  9. Hey C, Unfortunately wont be makin' the trip across the big pond this year ... wife's due in 19 weeks!!!! (Say hi to all)
  10. As a senior clinician in am major metropolitan hospital and previously a sports physician for National League teams, a really interesting read.
  11. But Ted had a pretty good step and a great hustle and push in Buffalo... then a huff and a puff or too, but a great push. Williams it seems can barely push a plate aside.
  12. Didn't the Bills have a couple of LBers with the mullett and pornostache thing happening too... i think one was Ray Bentley and did Conlan sport that look also?
  13. They should look at the 40time, provided a 240lb LBer is hanging off them. 10, 20 yard are betting indicators. TE, need to be able to get off the line and seperate, get into a block and adjust to a block quickly. If they go 40 yards there off the field for the next few series sucking wind...
  14. ...he probably wouldn't do the edges...
  15. I've come down to Churchill. Apparently this one's deliberately lit. The toll keeps rising. Cousin lost her house, but that was all.
  16. Just a quick message to any Bills fans in Oz, hope you and your family are safe and well My folks are in Churchill which is still burning but are safe. Saturday 46 degC! Toll over 100, tragic. Sorry for OT.
  17. 11. Ben Graham (former Aussie Rules footballer) had a nice drop punt which ended with Red birds safety FWIW.
  18. ...and when you're done, I can give you a hand with the que for New Zealanders arriving in Oz.
  19. There's quite a few from Australia here. I visit the Bills about every 2 years or so, since about 1997. I'd say Hammer lives closest from what I know.
  20. Isn't he Poz's mate, broke Poz's records? Ellis managed 12 games, Connor unfortunately didn't make it far from the blocks. Both IR'ed.
  21. I liked the DE tanden of Porcher and Scroggins too. (It may help if Schobel had a partner somewhere along the line. I remember a turkey game awhile back when Scroggins turned on a game against Orlando Pace.)
  22. How about NINCOMPOOP!
  23. Except it'll take Denney another season and 1/2 to get those 6 more sacks to be considered in Bruce class... I like Denney, but as a backup. I'm still scratching my head on some of his pass rush moves, they're not natural, or intuitive. Note his spin move, where he spins to the outside and then takes the long way 'round pass rush? They can't get that lean on the offensive player to enact a decent counter, the don't have the speed to get to the outside and they don't have the strength to skinny the corner. He is tall, puts his hands up and fights into the passing lane. A good backup.
  24. Nope. That'd be Sheldon Jackson if I remember correctly.
  25. Nice read. Bruce Smith used to talk about watching the QB's hands at the snap as well. We were coached to watch breathing patterns too. The fingers are a give away. Watched the Green Bay game in Buffalo a couple of years back and could clearly see the LT set for pass and set for run on every play by watching his stance- how far his feet were apart and positioning of his feet. Articles like this make the game more interesting for watching.
