  1. How about trading for #51, a former NC State & Buffalo Bill great...
  2. 186 & 3 td's. My brother lived in the states & would send DVD year books!
  3. Maybe if we reference things like strong side, weak or open side and skinny side in rushing the passer in defining the pass rushers strengths/ talents.
  4. So the Bills assistant o-line coach is now an expert on teaching the TE position? Is this typical in the NFL. Surely, like a lot of professions you're only really good at 1 thing... I understand the blocking phase ok, but the sublime route running, finding a hole, sitting down, beating the inside press, making a double more, and so forth are now his speciality?
  5. We call them shiny hood ornaments. Can't stand them in the 1st.
  6. Parrish as a punt returner?
  7. 12) People, we need COURTNEY UPSHAW!!!!! I'm not gonna let go. Sorry. "Yes, we ca." Just say yes to the Tide... or Matt Kalil!
  8. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d824cc87e/article/top-10-dlinemen-versatility-will-boost-coples-ingram
  9. To think that we had at one point a top 5 D that was imposing. Then we made it "better" because we were cleverer (is that a word?)
  10. Pretty much anyone we've signed for the o'line fill in role other than that dude from, was it New Orleans- Price? Let's see, Panos, Farris, maybe grabbing a LT from Denver and making him a centre- Teague... Or what about coaching... Run a successful 3-4 for eternity and come in and blow it up and run a Greggo 4-3, what in 3 years we went from like a top 5 D to a near bottom D and he was considered a D genius? Um, there's more... how about drafting a rb every other year and in those in between years, draft a corner. Letting guys of above average talent go and replacing them with next to nothing year in and year out. This team has some moronic decisions. How about letting a proven strength and conditioning guy walk away... not finding a way to keep a top rated special team coach... Why did we think Marv Levy could be a GM? But as Bill of NY says, they're my team
  11. A self indulgent post to announce the safe arrival of baby Thomas yesterday. Baby and mum, Monica all great. And... Yep. Named after squirmin' Thurman!
  12. I thought it'd be something more along the lines of planning the Attack on Peark, saying to the troops prior to Pickets charge that it'd be a lesiruely stroll up a hill, telling JFK that a nice drive in downtown Dallas can't be missed, approving thalidomide... you know, that kind of thing... being on the end of a 15 streak does that to you.
  13. Why, Freddy J could find the endzone as easily as blasting a swamprat...
  14. I think he made a great athletic block on 1 of the TD's. Basically his outside was in a standup (?) 9 technique, waited a moment, Bell took inside support and then his man rushed and he was able to still see it and secondly get to it. That was pretty athletic.
  15. He should secede Brady's "tuck" rule.
  16. What did your dad do in the services (I only ask as a history nut)? My dad flew Canberra bombers during Vietnam #2 squadron RAAF.
  17. Should he retire as a Bill... then maybe refuse to not retire and haul his frame down to training camp. Yes, again, another, should never have been allowed to go posts!
  18. Will Shields- Utterly dominate, never "off", what a 3rd rd pick too! Willie Roaf- "in my time" the 1st prototype "Giant" LT with feet, I also remember a game with the Saints that he started 6 days after having arthroscope surgery- don't think he missed a game! All decade team twice. I felt the same re- Dawson- highlighted that Centre position... some love for the O-line maybe. Tez for me was a bit like Roaf, the coming of the Athletic REAL BIG man at DT- the harbinger of Sapp, Young, Stubblefield... to the KW's , as big as a house. Aenas was stellar for all those years on an invisible-to the-media team, some amazing numbers. And Andre... he's a Buffalo Will- go- over the middle.. and something about a special sauce... Not sure why he's overlooked as much as he is, it's like he's pee'd someone off.
  19. http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/132611-does-re-signing-your-draft-picks-mean-anything/page__p__2205992__hl__shamrock__fromsearch__1#entry2205992 I wondered this awhile back, Does re-signing your draft picks mean anything anymore?
  20. As a history buff, the naval yards impressive. Went to Fort Niagara and the one on the other side. Took a drive around Rochester, followed the canals a bit- a motorcycle cop gave me some good drives. DIdn't get lost once. Plenty to do.
  21. Great lot, great bloke and Buddy the Wonder dog is very friendly.
  22. Was wondering the point of the draft and the value of re-signing your players. If you draft a guy and someone, including your own team, re-signs them, is that a good sign of draft evaluation? Or another way, is a drafted playing career lasting longer than the average another positive of a good draft? Hang with me... So in 2001- Clements (still playing), Schobel and Henry class- they played a combined 26 seasons. 2002 Williams, Reed and Denney combined for 22 seasons- none still playing. So is 2001 a better statistical assessment of the drafters success than 2002, noting i could only be bothered worrying about the top 3 picks? Or does it go on purely on things like statistics and probowls? Say, 2002 again, there's no probowls and 2001 something like 4. Then if we compare 2001 to 2000, adding Corey Moore (!) that's a measley 14 years and no probowls, let alone stats from your 1st 3 draftees. 1999 to 2001, Winfield, Price and add in Bryson that's 28 seasons (and counting) and 3 Probowls. 2003 (If you look longer along comes a McGee suprise! Heck- Hagan and Aiken (probably just) are still playing!!) but the top 3 are Mcgahee (just cut), Kelsay (playing)and Crowell comnine for 20 seasons, 1 Probowl. Get my drift and query and wonder how this stacks up across the league? Cheers.
  23. Sounds AWESOME.
  24. Hoping that a couple of techniques can be learnt, Giff Smith still the Dline coach. That frame squared up and fatigued is the Siegfried line without some movement.
