I figured if you've been sacked you've failed at your job, didn't meet expectations as outlined in your job description.. So, we have Chan- sacked by Dallas, GTech & at KC, Wanny- "resigned" from Phins, sacked Bears, "resigned" UPitt, Bob Sanders- "let go" by GBPackers... Who else on staff? Whilst we're at it, why the free pass on Giff and Sanders' coaching... Is ths an endless gravy train for coaches. While I'm at it, why the hiring of old college connections? Gailey and Wanny go way back. Wanny and Sanders go way back, Gailey hires Giff from his od college days... Does this make it hard for the HC to sack mates when they're under performing & why the merry-go-round for unsuccessful coach- at all levels. is it really "who you know" that keeps you employed?

Pro Bowl- Who will be the Bills Representative
Shamrock replied to davspo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
LeVitre- but I've become a LeVitre fan this season. -
Maybe he's asking the LBers to fill the gap as well as any other teams backs (?) but then asks that at no point are they allowed past the line of scrimmage. Ever. Do not cross. The backs seem to come up from a deep set & literally just stop. Barnett came up on the 83 yard run and got stopped, turned from outside to inside & allowed that gap to open- no way if he penetrated through that that play goes 83. Oh, & I think they blitzed once last week- from memory. I think the most they've blitzed is maybe 5 times against Arizona. I saw Houston had blitzed 5 times in maybe the first 5 minutes last week...

Here's my Houston game prediction, and it's spot on.

How many sacks Houston D put up? They seem to stack the line & are content at sending more than 4 constantly. I think we Blitzed 5 time against Arizona in total (by he look of it, Wanny plays our LBers at 10deep, so they could have been blitzing, just taking their time), I've watched the 1st 1/2 & Houston blitzed more than 5 times in the 1st 1/4 alone. Fitz could be smashed this week. -
Is Mario injured or not? If he's injured, why are we risking our $100m player on contributing further to that injury when 3 weeks of soft tissue work without ballistic activity, resting him, may heal it- alas I don't know the nature of the injury, just my humble med view. If Mario is injured & has reduced strength to disengage, why not put him in a 5 technique than the 4 & give him outside contain only rather than B gap & outside C gap? Makes no sense. Apologees, I'm from Melbourne Australia so my opinion counts the least, apparently. That said, pre kids, I've been to Buffalo every 3 years since 1996 for preseason and then when old enough to games. My sons called Thomas Thurman, my dog Jackson & everyone that knows me, knows about the Buffalo Bills- even my 90 year old patients. So put that in your pipe and tell me it doesn't count!

"Pinto Kenny" to watch 300th straight Bills game

Well done Kenny. -
... In his 1st year Paup was named defensive player of the year.

Not mentioning LeVitre speaks volumes in the Kent Hull O-line recognition awards.

It's gotta be, what, at best a 50:50 each week? Well, it is better than tossing a coin...

So was there any explanation about that pseudo first down?
Shamrock replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It was a 1st down, but i have walleye! -
Too many screens. Back to back in fact. Mario plays WAY better from a 5 technique than a 4- id ban him from a 4. they twist him a lot with the tackle too, they just dont seem to work, stick him in a 5 or more & let him go. Whilst we're at it, stick him in a 7! How good are the backs? I like the athleticism of LeVitre- hustles on blocks, good combo with Wood & LeVitre. The Oline- often has its share of penalties, didnt. McKelvin's found his spot- nice Tasker moment!!!! Still NO big hits (except Mario on the pick) but Brabham energetic bounce may come to fruition. We have 4 QB & 3 kickers. How big is Hairston? Was it Carrington who squashed Kolb? Could the refs have used the chains to measure?

Which side do they drive in America Samoa out of curiosity? I gather by his surname he's AS? -
I never saw this coming regarding Dareus's play....
Shamrock replied to Kipers Hair's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Can he stop pulling his shirt down after every play, likes he's hiding his conditioning. Literally, every play. -
Will George Wilson be benched for Searcy?
Shamrock replied to ny33's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Search was soft- he tackled like 2 hand touch. My 1 year old tackles harder. -
Whose our "feared" defensive player.
Shamrock replied to Shamrock's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We flat out don't have anyone that's intimidating. Period. -
Will George Wilson be benched for Searcy?
Shamrock replied to ny33's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Search looked soft & weak against SF. -
Watching the game, our the D playing flag? QB's are lining up to run, untouched. WR & backs arent being "hit" looking to pick up those extra yards. Do we have a "nasty" on the team? A froth & bubbles guy?

The times they had the blitz- 5 times, the rush seemed to work better... ... I saw 1 spin move, I think from Anderson playing at RDE! Mario had 1 solid rush & hit on Smith in the 4th!

4 days later and there are 2 plays I still can't get over
Shamrock replied to 1B4IDie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Run left, the line down blocks- leaves the edge backer unblocked- epic fail with the backer walking in for the tackle. Why run this play twice. The d-line- pretty much in a base all day, Mario in a 5, Anderson a 7 & KW & Dareus in varying tackle spots. 1 play in the 3rd made me go huh. KW from a 3 technique stunts with Anderson in a 7. It's just soooo far & takes so much time that both KW & Anderson couldn't get out if each others way. -
The "Spin" move: why don't our DEs use it?
Shamrock replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Have noted that week in, week out. Mario has maybe 3 moves- a strong push to the outside (he's not dynamic off the snap but can skinny that corner a little), a strong bull rush through the tackle and a fighting hand technique to go inside after squaring up on the tackle. $100m certainly didn't invite any variety. The response is either he's double or triple or chipped blocked- even when he's 1 on 1, isolated with just the tackle! And then the lamer, "he's making it easier for everyone else, if you don't now that you don't understand football" response... Query injury maybe? I just don't see that explosion off the 1st step that offsets the tackles balance. Oh and is there any variety in his split, what, he plays AT most a 7inside technique. Nothing else. Nothing. Hire some Bills DVD's and learn some moves/techniques- hire Bruce for a one on one coach.... Do something than put your hand down and check your bank balance. -
Really Worried about the Pats Rookie DE this weekend.
Shamrock replied to ganesh's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The end that can ride into that outside edge-corner & then come back inside off of a spin or a swim may do well as Glenn learns his balance. That said he's been recovering well to ride the rush back inside at this point with those long arms & bulk. -
Oval is about 200m in length, vary in size though, clock stops for out of play including scores. There's no fair catch for a mark. 6 points for a goal & a consolation for a miss is a point. I think the uniqueness is that it's a 360deg game for tackling, both leagues & gridiron have a separation of teams. Ball is moved by foot and by fist, no throwing. Tackle from waiste to below shoulder. That's about it for rules... Was curious as the AFL- the NFL equivalent always angs on about the international audience but my bro who lives in Georgia can't find a channel it's on.
