  1. I think a lot of fans are underestimating a lot of teams. It wasn’t like we were smoking teams last year and it was a joke schedule. This team is better but there’s still a lot to prove. We played a qb named ? I think they are going to win 9 games and still be better than last years team.
  2. I would bet money on this. You in? and they are going to be us from last year. Limit your qb’s mistakes and play mistake free offense, have a good defense, and hope to win games late. I don’t believe in their qbs but I think people are way underrated them. I predict 9 games wins the division. The schedule is rough.
  3. The only correct answer!!! but play 1 - who’s the 99 qb? 2 - what era rules are we playing with? Because Allen would be a low 50 passer in ‘99
  4. I don’t think Allen is really a player who is in great shape or even needs to be. this is a legit question. As someone who believes he’s in pretty good shape (?), working out at home sucks. I have an exercise ball, medicine ball, and cardio yoga dvd. For young guys who don’t have free weights in their house, It’s going to be tougher to stay in their best shape. Plus, less marijuana conditions, video games, binge watching shows , binge snacking, ordering takeout because you can’t cook, etc. training camp might actually be important. Bring back 3 a days!!! Can’t get out of shape if you were never in it! The Ryans are planning 5D chess while we are playing checkers during quarantine.
  5. I thought you were from Arizona? ?
  6. Exactly. I never say anything special while watching him in college. He was meh. I think he is getting the Patriot bump. that said, I think it insane they way some fans are discounting them. They are going to make things real simple for their qb and their defense will keep them in every game. They probably will look similar to our team last year. Keep the game close, don’t beat yourself, and hopefully pull it out late.
  7. Dude just seemed like a classy, good guy. He seemed so relaxed and chill. Players Must have loved playing for him. I had a lot of respect for the guy Marv owned. ? RIP to a great one. Now that’s depressing.
  8. I think the whole problem with Whaley is he didn’t put his foot down enough. He basically did what the coaches wanted. He built one of the best defenses in the NFL and Rex and his stupid system blown that up. what I worry about is this is still McDermott’s show. He’s always going to get the final say. It’s why our defensive moves have been really strong bad our offensive ones have been super questionable. If Matt Barkley has a job, Mitchell will have one. You underestimate how bad he is. Plus, he’s white. ? the league loves terrible white backup QBs.
  9. A college coach likes his own player!!!! Shocking. ? and Moss is a baller. Loved him at Utah. We still lack a home run hitter but it’s a really nice combo.
  10. I swear I’m on this island here but why isn’t Joe Gibbs talked more about being the best coach ever. He went 3-1 in SBs with 3 different qbs - Doug Williams, Joe Theismann, and Mark Rypien who combined to make 4 pro bowls! He went 17-7 in the playoffs and the nfc East was an absolute monster then and far and away the best division in the nfl. I say 3 SBs with those guys is a hell of a more impressive than riding the greatest qbs ever. Gibbs must have a bad PR agent.
  11. Good post. I definitely think his personal losses caught up with him. He was a different dude when he came to Buffalo than when he left. He had no one to hold him accountable in his family. He was like a goofy dude but by the end, he was trying to buy a strip club in Buffalo (got shut down by the Bills). Just a different person. same is he had a start similar to Warren Sapp. He could have been a monster. He just turned 30 too.
  12. Allen literally just had almost the same exact second season as Mitch. this is also why draft experts are dumb. I wasn’t a Trubisky fan but what is really hurting him is how good the other qbs are. And all we heard was how weak the 2017 class was and how superior the 2018 group was. Well, 2017 >>> 2018.draft “experts” Watching the Bulls documentary, it’s like the exact opposite move that landed them Jordan (I ball for real: y'all cats is Sam Bowie And with the third pick, I made the earth sickM.J., him Jay, fade-away, perfect)
  13. I think people underestimate how good Fitz could be. That was our best passing offense Bledsoe and it featured 7th rounders and castoffs. and the only issue with this core is they can’t ride all the rides at Disney world. Would love to have some more size to them but they are a very good trio. If Allen can’t led us to 24 points/ game (which is about average) this year, he’s never going to do it.
  14. When he played last year, he seemed to score a td every game. But it was a major reach and weirdly, the Bengals are good at finding receivers. Burrow probably has one of the best top to bottom receiving cores in the nfl. A lot of qbs would have been “winners” on the Bills. Trubisky won 12 games with the Bears in his second season. Was he a “winner” then? This year, if it happens will be great for Allen. We are going to be playing against real qbs and tough competition. Allen has a top 5 trio of wrs. There are zero excuses. If he doesn’t show he can win with his arm more than his legs, he will probably never show it. I’m excited to see if he can do it.
  15. I guess the only upside to this list is if Newton played more than one year at Auburn, he would be up there but it’s a pretty awful list. I think part of the issue is these guys play with blue chippers at every position, so when you go to the nfl, the talent even out. Tua is going to have a worse receiving group in the nfl than he did in college. I think he’s more likely to get cut in a few years but I hope you’re right. Hopefully he doesn’t have to play much and get overhyped like other backup QBs who then become starters who suck. Call it the Kevin Kolb effect.
  16. Oh please. If anything, I’m the most honest and clear thinking poster on this board. If a move is good, I will call it good. If it sucks, I will say it sucks. Defensively, I pretty much love every move they have made minus signing Star and Trent Murphy. Offensively, they have struggled. The qb situation has been very weak to bad. They traded for scrubs like Benjamin and Matthews and passed them off as starters. And they love paying veterans rbs who were washed up millions of dollars. Yeah, now you’re just making stuff up.
  17. I think you are missing the point. No one is arguing about trading Dareus. The argument is when they traded him and acting like it was some genius move. When they traded Dareus, they were 4-2. They finished 5-6 after the trade. Genius! It clearly sent an inspiring message in the lockerroom! It saved zero money when if happened; the Jags went from a terrible run defense to almost making the SB; and our run defense was awful after the trade. If they keep Dareus for the season, he might help win a few more games and possibly the playoff game. He also may have been traded for better value in the offseason. long term, they cleared cap room. But short term, no, it wasn’t a good move. You can still be a Bills fans and not pretend every move they make is genius.
  18. I still fail to see how the timing of the Dareus trade was a good move. It literally makes no sense to do a salary dump in the middle of a season when you are competing for the playoffs. Especially at a position that was a huge weakness. McBeane has done some really good things but I think people fall all over themselves to praise them. The Jags almost went to the SB with Dareus. The Bills lost to the Jags 10-3. Maybe if they have Dareus and kept Sammy instead of scrubs like Jordan Matthews and fat Kelvin, they win that game and go on a playoff run.
  19. A lot of people died around him. Sometimes that motivates people. Other times, you go the opposite way. I’m going to call BS in the Watt stuff. You were really calling for the Bills to draft a guy with 11.5 sacks in 3 years in college? Really??? Over the guy who was the D player of game in a national championship? Really???
  20. 1 - we traded a DT in the middle of a playoff run when run defense was a major weakness for the team. Run defense was a major issue for the Jags and he helped them improve and they almost won the SB. There’s a chance they keep Dareus and he improves his trade value and they could have traded him for more in the offseason. They gained zero by trading him when they did and you can’t argue otherwise. 2 - it’s hard not to argue that Dareus changed as after he got the money. He got lazy and complacent. I always gave him more of a pass because of his family stuff but you can’t deny it. The real shame is the guy had HOF talent and was one of the best young d linemen in the nfl at one point. It’s a shame.
  21. I’m been paying attention to Fromm for his whole career because I liked him on QB1. I like his poise but he has been very meh to me and Georgia is one of the best situations in the nfl. That racist baseball player in Georgia making Fields transfer is a killer for them. so unless we play Georgia Tech (Fromm had 10 tds and 0 ints against them!), I think we just drafted a younger version of Matt Barkley. Every qb pick will be over evaluate. And I think with a guy like Fromm, he seems to have little upside. That late, I’d rather have an Allen type prospect who is raw and has a higher ceiling. fromm isn’t who I would have picked but I always like drafting qb. If Allen doesn’t progress or Fromm isn’t good enough, I hope they draft another guy next year.
  22. Oh my God ?!!! This board trashes Cam Newton and Lamar Jackson, MVPs and Heisman trophy winners, and you think Allen gets picked on too much??? Polian was literally on TV saying Jackson should switch positions and Allen gets picked on too much? This board had a 20+ page thread laughing at Mahomes for throwing interceptions in practice (can someone please find it!!! It’s hilarious). Mitch Trubisky, who basically has the same exact second season as Allen, is a national punchline. EJ Manuel, who has better passing numbers as a rookie than Allen and was 2-2, got 14 games to prove himself and Allen gets picked on too much??? If the Jets took a guy who never completed 60% of his passes on any level in the Mountain West Conference and so far in the NFL is a 56% passer who throws for 184 yards/ game, we would be laughing at them. We would be like they have a good athlete at QB who can’t beat you with his arm consistently. At this point, Allen is in the Sanchez (he’s better right now), Bortles, Trubisky stage. The young qb who is at this point the weak link to a SB caliber team. Did Allen improve? Certainly. But the best thing about all this is Allen can prove it on the field. It’s that simple. On paper looks like a much harder schedule and you probably won’t win a game 14-7 against KC like the Titans (one of his 4th “comebacks”). So hopefully instead of Mitch, Blake, or Mark, he becomes Tom, Ben, or Russell. That’s the nfl now. With the rules and the college schemes in the nfl, the transition has never been easier. You don’t need 5 years to evaluate a guy. That’s why drafting “projects” in the top 10 is a wild move. If Allen becomes the guy, they are smarter than 99.9% of the nfl because guys with Allen’s production in college in his conference rarely succeed as nfl players.
  23. Talking about Dalton being a Bills backup in Dalton thread is hijacking a thread? Makes sense. and I can’t step away from the keyboard. I hate working from home. It sucks.
  24. I’m on record saying that 9 wins takes this division. The Bills could go 9-7 and be a better team than they were last year. It’s a really tough schedule right now.
