  1. It’s not true but if Allen throws for almost 5,000 yards last year, completes 66% of his passes, has a career 97 td to 36 int, a 97 QBs rating, and has a win-loss record of 40-24 (overrated stat but still), we would pay him a billion dollars. I don’t see Dak as An all time great but he’s a good young qb. He’s borderline top 10. And given what he’s played for as a 4th rounder, he deserves to get a monster deal.
  2. Guy’s a hero. This has happened to me at least 20 times but because of my gender, I was afraid to report it. Thank you Vince Wilfork for your service. ??
  3. If he puts up numbers, he will be. And that’s my worry. Diggs could play major role in the offense and not have the numbers to show for it. Julio Jones’ numbers don’t come close to reflecting what he means to the Falcons. Diggs should draw coverage to help out other receivers but will he happy doing that? He wasn’t in Minnesota. I think it could be a Disaster if Allen has to force him the ball.
  4. Bandit, this isn’t really directed at you because you are one of the most rational posters here. But with all due respect, I think this is a cop out. 1). What was EJ’s drop rate? Or JP’s? Or trent’s? Here’s a stat I found. At the being of the 2018 season, Derek Carr had the most drops. Followed by Eli and Blake Bortles. https://mobile.twitter.com/PFF_Raiders/status/1004801086409068546 2) the top 10 of team dropped passes is a pretty terrible list of qbs. http://hosted.stats.com/fb/tmleaders.asp?type=Receiving&range=NFL&rank=232 miami, Pittsburgh’s garbage after Big Ben, Brady (who everyone here said was washed up but imagine his numbers with those drops!), Chicago (Mitch), Dak (who had amazing numbers. Imagine if he had average receivers how great those would be), Carolina, washed up Rivers, Colts, and Browns. Also, 3) not every drop is the same. I would bet less accurate have more drops than accurate qbs (per attempts because Brees throws a lot more than other QBs). There needs to be a way to chart how catchable each qb is. again, the great thing is Allen has all the pieces around him and can change the narrative. But it’s not like this is some blimp on his radar. He’s never hit this benchmark. As Parcells says, you are what your record says you are. To this point, Allen has been a very accurate qb no matter how some try to change this narrative.
  5. Hope he sees this bro. ? seems like a great dude and hopefully he turns into a great QB. I’d do bad things to be 24 again. (and to be consistent, this is where I point out Lamar Jackson just turned 23 ?)
  6. Ok, that’s fair. Jackson was essentially top 10 in ypa.
  7. Why? I assume you think Allen can improve? Why can’t Jackson?
  8. No one is going to admit that here. If it was Allen, it is the receiver’s fault. If it’s Jackson or another qb, it’s their fault. it’s fine. We’re a Bills board but it’s far from objective.
  9. Hot take. This team could go to the SB with Fitz. ?
  10. He’s never gotten over 60% in any season in any level. So yes for him, it’s a big difference. Because if it was as fluky with a completion here or a completion there, he would have done it, especially against the subpar competition he was playing against before the nfl. hopefully, he puts it to bed but to dismiss it like some do is pretty foolish.
  11. Because Josh Allen is the only young qb who is able to improve. Jackson is only getting to get worse. It’s just facts.
  12. This doesn’t make sense since Thielen had better numbers in every year he wasn’t hurt. The guys you named were clear number 2s. In terms of production, Thielen was their #1. I think they are both 1A and 1B and they both benefited from playing with each other. How much do teams blitz Allen in comparison to other QBs? With mobile guys who aren’t the most accurate, a lot of the strategy tends to be keep them in the pocket with controlled rush lanes and play zone. Force them to pick you apart from the pocket.
  13. In 2018, he threw for 5,000 yards and 34 tds. It’s so weird the double standards we have for other QBs. Bills QBs throw for 200 yards, they are awesome. Other QBs win the MVP or throw for 5,000 yards, they are flukes!
  14. Their defense is a top 5 group. I don’t think they had that in a while. Plus, Rudolph and Duck were like negatives for them. Next to Tre, Duck was our MVP in that game. Cool name though.
  15. They went 8-8 a year after losing Bell, Brown, and Big Ben starting a guy named duck and terrible Mason. The AfC north is going to be a beast this year.
  16. I agree 100% with you. I would totally be fine with a program that provided opportunities for lower socioeconomic economic groups of all races.
  17. Yup. Do I think there was racism back in the day in the nfl in regards to quarterbacks, head coaches, and GM positions? Absolutely. Do I think that is the main problem now? Absolutely not. im just stock of scrub coaches like Pat Shurmur or bad GMs like Bruce Allen getting multiple jobs when other People struggle to get one.
  18. Dear lord. You’re all over the place. Visit PPP or just see which threads get the most pushbacks here. How many MVP QBs get as much flack as Jackson and Newton? do I think the Overwhelming majority of this board is racist? Absolutely not (there’s one in here that showed themselves). But I do think it’s going to be hard for a board with this demographic to really support minorities getting opportunities. And I get why and it doesn’t mean you are a terrible person. But it’s dumb to pretend like every American is given the same chance to succeed at life. and dude, when are people going to grow and stop using corny terms like “woke” (it’s woke to want people to have equal rights apparently. What’s the opposite of that called) or snowflakes (people who use that term are the biggest snowflakes).
  19. Good post and I like the idea of limiting the amount of jobs someone can get. But legally, I don’t think there’s anyway you can do that. Take Doug Whaley., I know everyone thinks he sucks but in reality, he brought in a lot of talent. There are a lot of reports that he didn’t get complete control in hiring the coaches. I know the pegulas liked Whaley but that completely handcuffs a GM and he is forced to work with someone even if they don’t like each other (Whaley-Marrone). IMO, which I’m sure won’t be popular, I think Whaley could go a really good job if he is given a 2nd opportunity. But he probably won’t and there are guys like Bruce Allen who just got fired from his 3rd job. The sad part is either he/she is proud of it and doesn’t think he/ she is racist. ”if these minorities started getting jobs, I’m done with the NfL!!! Now, go Joe Mixon and Richie Incognito!”
  20. That this board is at least 80% white (a very low estimate that I would bet money on being higher), male (90%), 40+ (70% but not as confident in that guess, and definitely leans more conservative. Which is completely fine but obviously the opinions posted here are going to represent that mindset. And I haven’t followed since yesterday but it was a good and rational discussion but these threads go all the I expect them to go. imo, it’s like posting this on FoxNews. I don’t think this solution is the right way to do it but I’m not shocked at all that the majority of posters here don’t think lack of minority nfl leadership positions is a problem. And again, that’s fine because people tend to think in their own best interests. Again, JMO (but I’m definitely right ?).
  21. There is no merit based on coaching. You can’t be evaluated for jobs you aren’t getting! If Brian Daboll was some poor black kid in Chicago instead of Hamburg, he’s not where he is right now. That’s the whole point. We can’t evaluate how a minority would do in the position because not a lot are given the opportunity. And Daboll is crappy bad it’s insane how he gets such a pass here. If he was McDermott’s first OC, he would have been fired. Brice Arians made it point to hire black coaches because he recognized how lacking it is.
  22. Yes, trying to make something close to 100% would be the definition of racist.
  23. Dude, we were doing so good. You don’t see how terrible comparing a white cb is to hiring a minority coach? Come on boss, this is just stupid. Every white person who plays cb has a chance to make the nfl. But since Jason Sehorn, none have been physically able to. There isn’t a combine for coaches and nfl executives. Brian Daboll isn’t in the nfl and keeping getting jobs with his awful resume because he runs a 4.3. He was friends with the right people. Tre White isn’t a star nfl cb because he was friends with the right people. It’s insane to compare the 2.
  24. Huh? You want a boost for 98% of the white coaching/ front office candidates?
  25. ???? for the record, my name is just a pun on Bennett and sea biscuit. I was young but I remember him being slightly overrated. Very good but should have been great especially playing with Bruce. My young mind remembers that our defense was soft and should have been much better with the players we had.
