  1. Honestly, as much as I hated Edelman as a player, I’ve grown to like him on pods (he’s great on Pardon my Take) and TV. He actually has a sense of humor about himself and offers up real football breakdowns. gronk offers nothing. The dumb meathead act is really who is (and I know more about that but I’ll leave it alone 😙).
  2. Tre’s teammates were super weak in standing up for him too. I think Hyde gave him a little shove. Reminded me of the Sabres soft response after the Bruins guy ran over Miller. and I used to like Gronk. Buffalo type of guy who I have a ton of friends who are like (myself included). But that was such a scumbag move. And get off tv. He’s really not that interesting or adds any real perspective to anything. Dude kinda sucks.
  3. This board definitely hates on Lamar. But I agree he isn’t have a normal monster stat mvp type year. but should a guy be penalized because they dominated teams early and don’t have to stat pad against soft defenses? https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/baltimore/news/ravens-have-been-mostly-excellent-but-close-losses-have-left-them-in-a-tight-afc-north-race-baltimore/ i see everyone’s side (and I really don’t care but it’s fun to argue about). Allen is the dominant numbers guy but it is a lot of losses and this offense has been inconsistent if we’re being honest. Lamar isn’t going to have the numbers. Purdy is a system qb. Hill is a dirt ball. CMC might be canceled out by Purdy. honestly, TJ Watt has a major case. That offense is horrible yet they are still in the playoff hunt.
  4. See this is the part I don’t like. Putting down the rest of the offense to prop up Allen. Which would group would you rather have: Flowers, OBJ, Gus Edwards or Diggs, Davis, Cook? Honestly, I don’t think it’s close that our group is better. I get it. We want Allen to win the MVP. But it pretty disingenuous and insulting to the rest of the team to pretend like they are this poor group. and it’s PFF so it needs to be taken with a huge grain of salt but we are “ranked” 4th in o lines. https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-offensive-line-rankings-week-17-2023 this narrative that Allen is playing the Jauron Bills is pretty stupid (also our defense is ranked 10th in yards and 4th in points). We have an elite, MVP caliber and a really good roster (maybe top 5) around him. I definitely think they need to do a better job quantifying certain stats. I’m 100% fine with those ints. I also think pass interference and holding draws penalties should be a stat as well.
  5. Pretty good is stretching it on Bradford. He had career high in tds of 21 and 20 tds. I’ve never seen an average player get traded for so much. There was nothing special about Sam except his giant freshman shoulder pads.
  6. Before the Browns game, they were 3rd in total yardage giving up less than 300 yards/ game. and that is why points is misleading. They gave up a pick 6 last night. They are constantly put in bad spots by their offense - short fields, coming back on after 3 and outs. It is hard to not lose your edge when you have garbage at the qb position. I think they are finally starting to qb but it is still a really good defense hurt by bad qb/ oline play. also total waste of Hall and Wilson, who are studs.
  7. Pretty sure the mvp is Joe Flacco!!! Though he needs to cut down on the ints! that said, and I know it’s a separate award but the whole Browns coaching staff deserves it and is the most impressive thing I’ve seen all season. Losing the best rb in the nfl in game one. Their insanely paid qb out for the year. A couple starting o linemen. Cooper doesn’t play. It doesn’t matter. Can’t say enough how impressed I am with Cleveland which is something I’d thought I’d never say.
  8. Glad he’s healthy and able to resume his career. But this would be the all time participation trophy. Dude has gotten so much off that moment, let’s not completely make that award meaningless.
  9. They were 3rd in the nfl with the worst qb play in the league. That’s insanely impressive.
  10. But this is the part where if you’re not being a biased bills fan is completely misleading. If the D didn’t play well in the 1st halves of the Pats, Jets, Chargers, Broncos games while the offense was completely garbage, they won’t have even had a chance for a comeback win. also, in all 3 of the Ravens losses, their defense has given up 4th quarter leads, including 2 double digit ones. Allen is far and away our best player and has MVP moments. We are beyond lucky to have him and he’s better than I ever could have imagined he’d be and our SB window is open as long as we have him. But man, it’s been a really inconsistent season. The last 2 games haven’t helped either because those were primetime showcases and it was very uneven.
  11. Diggs talks mad crap (him and Jaire Alexander last year). And he’s right and he’s awesome. But I do agree what is the point in saying it.
  12. Higher career bills qb rating than Jim Kelly (which shows how stupid that stat can be)!
  13. Has anyone rebound from this type of injury this late in their career, who wasn’t a qb? I hope you’re right but his career was very much on the downhill before this injury anyways.
  14. I actually really like the guy and would take him in a second as a backup. He’s just limited physically and while he can get away with it for a game or 2, ultimately, it catches up to him. tough dude and will make a lot of money hanging around for like 10 years plus. Agree. Love the way he plays. He plays the way I wish EJ played. You can’t use the excuse about talent around him because he has 3 really good WRs around him. i will be in the minority but i think EB has done as good of a job as you can expect.
  15. Or you’re just saying dumb things like you always do. You’re the only smart person in this thread!
  16. I defended Tre because corner is such a hard position and it takes about 2 years to make it back. Thats why it was heart breaking when he got hurt again because he was playing like himself again. im not defending Von because of his allegations (even if he didn’t do “anything,” he’s a moron for staying with this person) and how many guys are bouncing back from that injury at 35? It’s blind faith based on nothing. I still get why we did it but it was always going to be a bad contract as he aged. I just wish he had a legit stud pass rusher. I can’t believe it’s been this hard to find one.
  17. Now you’re right. You’re the only smart here. Keep defending the guy on his 3rd domestic violence allegation; has 3 tackles this year (lack of sacks is one thing but tackles is effort); and is making $20 million/ year. But a genius like you knows that guys who about to turn 35 tend to bounce back after a major injury and become great again. thank you for educating us with your wisdom. You’re so much smarter than us. Clearly he is making a huge impact on the defense. Dude is completely washed but suckers will keep defending him. He was so good 5 years ago!
  18. He averaged 136 yards passing/ game (he’s also 25). Nice story and he will eat off for a long time but he is a borderline nfl qb (which is still pretty awesome).
  19. True. I can also see him making a game changing play against Marino in the finale as well!
  20. I wonder what Zack Wilson got his o line. I would take a free one but never got the fascination. I wear an Apple Watch anyways (though I lused to collect watches).
  21. Not as much as fans want to think. He rushes like 2 yards up field, gets no where and stops.
  22. His injury sucks but it was already an insanely risky deal. He’s old, his production has been inconsistent, and he has his 3rd domestic violence allegation against him. Oh yeah, he’s making $120 million and is essentially untradable. when Milano and White come back next year, I’ll cut them a ton of slack. But not Miller. It’s an awful contract and he has made it even worse.
  23. Honestly, we see why they never let Russ cook. Dude is just a game manager. Payton looks very overrated as well though. might be the worst trade in history given the cost and his salary. his ego is too big to not be a problem as a backup. I could see the Steelers kicking the tires on him. He actually might be a good fit there.
  24. Um, have you ever seen us? Every fan base is like this. Miami is so indifferent. It’s actually nice to have a rivalry again and for them to care. It’s also fun because they are getting their hopes up just to be severely disappointed. youre allowed as fans to be excited when your team does good! I can definitely see this. The Ravens should remember their last game against Miami where they blew the game late and can clinch the number 1 seed and potentially two games off (won’t have to play their starters week 18).
  25. I got an Allen Funko Pop and an Andre Reed Rookie card.
