  1. At the same point, Lamar and the Ravens have been the most consistent team all year. They take leads early and just win games. I can’t definitely see Allen having worst td numbers, cutting down on turnovers, and winning the MVP.
  2. Agree with this 100%. I do think him being a 2 time MVP this early is a little crazy but this was a flawed year. but if people think Allen gets criticized, they should look at Lamar. Heisman trophy winner who some thought should switch poo. If they flame out this year, he will get absolutely crushed. I don’t think any reasonable person disagrees with that.
  3. I don’t think you know what passive aggressive means. Everything I said was a fact. QBs get way too much credit and blame for everything. It’s the job. Of course him getting paid a lot makes a huge difference. You give rookie Josh passes on things that this Josh doesn’t get. and Allen is a great leader. But he also knows he makes some poor decisions. This offense has been very inconsistent and it has cost us games. I think we can beat any team in the league. We also lose to any as well. Inconsistent offense and turnovers would be a major reason why. And this is why it will fall in Allen since he is the leader of the team. we fired the DC of the Bills after multiple top 5 seasons. People wanted McDermott gone. Idiots are talking about firing the Eagles head coach. When you have expectations, the standard gets raised. Every bills fan knows how lucky we are to have Allen. But to achieve this team’s full potential, we need to cut down on the negative stuff. i don’t know why you make this such a personal thing. See, this drives me crazy. If we had better, consistent offense, we don’t need to rally against terrible teams like the Jets, Pats, Chargers, and Broncos,l. Our depleted defense kept us in those games. They didn’t need to be close.
  4. We scored 14 points without their 3 best pass rushers. This is after lack luster efforts against the Chargers and Pats. allen is amazing. But let’s stop pretending like this is some well oil machine and the turnovers aren’t hurting us. A lot of good qbs suck early in the playoffs. Elway didn’t win a SB until he was like 38. But Lamar has a ton of pressure on him this playoffs. It’s still a regular season award. People who say a backup could do as good as Lamar are flat out liars.
  5. Dude is a weirdo but I would love to have him. I actually think Allen and him have a healthy respect for each other.
  6. Thats the part that’s really weird to me. Fans would rather trash the rest of the team and make up how bad the supporting cast is then ever criticize our highest paid player. Allen himself will say he played really bad in the first half and hurt the team. Not sure why so fans can’t say the same.
  7. This thread is such a microcosm of our society. It’s either all or nothing. If you are critical of something, you must hate them. If you are too positive, you are biased. allen is better than I could have ever imagined in my wildest dreams. I hate prospects like him - all the “tools,” not great production. Those guys fail 99% of the time. Allen has become a top 3 qb and it’s absolutely amazing. We are beyond fortunate to have him. that said, he is getting paid a ton of money so you are allowed to be critical. That was a depleted Miami team playing without 2 of their best pass rushers and lost another good one during the game. We scored 14 points on offense and Allen’s turnovers were a big reason why. If it was a one time thing, you let it go. But it’s been a pattern. Allen makes some of the most spectacular plays I have ever seen. And ints are going to happen because he takes chances. But some of you are kind delusional about how they hurt these team. We have lost or barely beaten bad teams because of our offense and the mistakes we have made. I am beyond happy to have Allen and to win another division. This is the best period of bills football since I was a little kid. This team can legitimately win the SB. But if also can lose to Pittsburgh (doubtful but still) if they keep beating themselves.
  8. Haha, I know. I hate watching this and want the bills to be in playoffs and no stress tomorrow. I guess they could have played him a drive. But it’s a no win situation for them.
  9. Never got posting stuff like before the actual game is played. Seems like a terrible jinx.
  10. What an absolute joke franchise. Also that Jests media member must get paid by Rodgers to keep his name in the news. AR is insufferable at this point of his career.
  11. Also this suggestions some major regression is coming: https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/player-stat/interception-percentage flacco has a 4% int ratio, which is the worst by far of any starter. But the Browns defense is so good, it hasn’t matter. It’s a great story though
  12. A white d back is probably like a super model to McDermott. He should know how good he is at coaching the position that he doesn’t need to waste high picks on them.
  13. All jokes aside, I think the Pats winning might be the safest bet of the week.
  14. I wish we could see you attempt this. I would absolutely watch “regular” fans put up money (to earn money) and play in real games. It would be amazing (and you need to sign a health waiver).
  15. If stroud doesn’t get hurt, the Texans are easily in the playoffs and extremely dangerous. They are the better team. So since the nfl makes no sense this year, I’m betting the Colts.
  16. How in the world do you use this stat without knowing play calls? Or what defense the other team is playing? and this is a wild thought, but maybe the thought of Lamar running and play action, helps their WRs get open? Nah, it’s probably the superior skills of washed up ACL ODB, always injured Bateman, and can’t catch Nelson. They have one good receiver who may one day be as good as Diggs. Maybe. I love stats but a lot nerds who never played and have no idea what is actually going on just make up things. Guess how receivers get open easier? String running threat, motion, and play action.
  17. I can’t believe more people didn’t think Flacco, who had one winning record in a season and a td/ int of 80/45 since Turing 30 (not counting this year), wasn’t a great signing!!!! to pretend like this should be expected is absolutely crazy. It shows the: the Browns’ coaches have been amazing this year; they have a special defense; and they have had a favorable schedule. and for the record, I still think Matt Ryan is better than him! We are deluding the hall of fame. It is for great not good. Has anyone ever considered Flacco a top 10 qb any season of his career (maybe this year haha)? Or Eli? Lots of qbs would have won in their situations (put Rivers on those team and they might have more rings). They are not HOFers.
  18. Honestly, I would not be shocked by this. Tough situation to be in plus Lamar has a lot to prove in the playoffs. they are the best in the nfl right now and have to take a break haha.
  19. Why does that make him an idiot? You don’t think teams study film and don’t know other team’s tendencies? Like this is some secret? difference between knowing what teams do and being good enough to stop it. The Carolina panthers could know every play the other team does and it won’t matter.
  20. I do agree with this too. McDermott has his faults but he is one of the best d backs coaches in the entire nfl. He was joking. But this actually happened with black qbs. But cb isn’t a position where you can fake being good at. It’s the most physically demanding position in the nfl. It’s impossible to be a good cb with the rules so you need the most elite athletes playing there. I like this guy but it would tough for him to be an elite outside cb. It’s hard for 99% of guys.
  21. Huh? CMC was a consensus top 5 pick. if you don’t understand why corner back is a completely different physical than any other other position in football, not sure you know ball! If you aren’t a 4.3 player with crazy change of direction, you won’t make it at cb. It’s not a position where you can get by if you don’t elite physical skills. Tre is going to struggle when he comes back. CB is a different beast than every other position.
  22. I know you are one of the biggest Allen guys on this board so thank you for the reasonable outlook. Allen now from what he was his rookie year is a startling growth. The next step, and there are a bunch of reasons why, is to be more consistent. He can have less tds next year and be a much better player (and potentially MVP).
  23. Um, we would be making the same one if our offense jumped on teams and had games finished by halftime like they have in 90% of their games this year. they are murdering teams from the opening whistle and don’t have to try to rally or stat pad. I would have love to have Allen have as efficient of a season as Lamar just had because we were taking care of business from the start of the game. Allen has as many MVP moments in a game as any qb. But to act like he and the offense hasn’t been maddenly inconsistent is delusional.
