Would like to see LA win the west. But since all the pundits like the Chargers on Sat night I have a feeling KC will show up in a big way and get back on track.

"Colts-Bills was the game of the year" - NFL in 90
zow2 replied to BigDingus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Only in Buffalo man.. I can't imagine any other NFL city going through with that game, and weather forecast for lake effect. It would have been preemptively postponed like the game in Philly a couple years ago (in the name of safety for the fans). Maybe Green bay is another city it would've been played. -
If the Bills win out they could win the division
zow2 replied to 17 Josh Allen's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not going to even consider playoff possibilities or anything else until they beat Miami. If they do, still seems like a huge long-shot to do better than 1-2 in the final 3 games. -
As it stands now, 0-3. The Bills have gone 2-1 vs KC, NE and Indy with virtually no offensive output. If they can’t find their offense it will be 0-3. Miami has some talent over there
-
Howard, the Miami CB looks like he’s holding on every play. Good player but man, he is hands on all the time
-
Take nothing away from Miami, but they can thanks Tre White for removing Gronk from this game. That made a difference.
-
Pains me to say it but Miami’s roster looks more talented than Buffalo’s across the board. I hate Cutler but he has been playing better than I thought he could.
-
I thought it was ridiculous all week to hear how the Bills would dust off Miami no problem. All along I’ve felt we would split with them at best...and would need to steal that Pats game to get to 9 wins. We are not better than Miami. Maybe even

I gave my take on this in the WGR thread. but for this specific game McD made the correct call. No way was Indy driving 70 yards or whatever for a legit FG attempt. I liked the D's chances of getting a turnover. If the weather was 50 degrees and sunny it's very possible McD would've gone for it. You just can't kill him for making the call to punt in this game with those weather conditions. It worked out. He was smarter than the talking heads (who are all pissed off that they are wrong

Guess Howard and Jeremy slept in
zow2 replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sometimes you have to make a tough call in a game. For this specific situation, punting the Colts back probably meant a 3 and out or a possible turnover. The Colts had not turned it over all day, they were due. I think the chances of a fumble/Int or 3 & out...probably outweighed the chances of getting stopped on 4th down, then having the Colts possibly drive to a FG with the wind. The fact that Jeremy and Howard are furious is kind of silly. It's like they'd rather prove their point than see a Bills W. McD played the odds that he felt were correct for this SPECIFIC GAME.. If the weather was 50 degrees and sunny, light winds...he might've gone for it. But the weather dictated that it was very unlikely Indy would drive 60-70 yards for a FG attempt...and/or a turnover in the Bills favor was a real definite possibility. -
I loved seeing that term “McGutless” and I love that it blew up in the original posters face. McD made the right call there

Ha. Reading this thread I thought we were losing 27-0.

Week 14: Colts' Game Preparation - Inactives Announced
zow2 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's absurd to suggest one man would've flipped a 30 point loss into a win. Unless the QB for the Bills had the last name of Brady it would not have mattered. They could not stop the Chargers that day. LA had one penalty. No turnovers. They played a near perfect game. -
Week 14: Colts' Game Preparation - Inactives Announced
zow2 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd be surprised if Tyrod starts. He was favoring that knee in practice. I'm sure that joint will feel even worse in breezy 25 degree weather. McD would've been more positive about him playing by now, not just a "game-time" decision. I think we're looking at Peterman, chapter 2 this Sunday in the cold/snow. Maybe that suits Peterman better than warm sunny LA. -
Do you remember the first football game you went too?
zow2 replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It was vs. the Jets at the Rockpile. My grandfather took me, he had season tix. I remember seeing Namath, he was a big deal and the Jets were wearing all white. -
I also have season tix for another popular team in the East and I'm having problems the past couple years. It's not just the Bills, the ability to resell has gone from great to below face value in about 4 years. It's crazy. I'm about to get out of owning season tickets. They are not reselling at face anymore even for a decent team.

The Best Buffalo Bills Player To Be "Wasted" In The Drought
zow2 replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Brady could be here in his prime and the Bills still would not make the playoffs. The drought is too powerful. I agree that Shady McCoy and Lee Evans have been the most talented players. -
People still like to attend games (especially when winning) but I feel like it's not as important with the younger generation....soon to be the ticket buyers. My son enjoys fantasy football but he never sits and watches a whole game...he just checks out his FF scores and maybe some redzone. I think I'm dumping my season tix after this year. I live too far and can't sell the late season games. I'd rather cherry pick whatever game(s) I want to attend and buy 50 yard line seats probably for face value.
-
I have two lower bowl tickets for Sunday that I cannot give away. So yeah I expect low attendance.

Who do you want to start this week, Peterman or Taylor?
zow2 replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If TT is too banged up then I hope they give Peterman a shot at redemption. It's the Colts at home so they can be reasonably conservative and still probably win this. -
Gronk Suspended for One Game by the NFL - Appeal Denied
zow2 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
One game is just ridiculous. Basically the NFL has told everyone that the price for going after an unsuspecting player, with a vicious blindside hit, after the play is over, out of bounds...is one game. I don't care if the offender has no history. How do we even know if Tre White plays again this year? His brain is bruised. He could have symptoms for months after getting pile driven and smashed on the back of the head by a 270 lb guy with a club. I'm pissed. -
Dang, that hit was so dirty and so hard to the back of White’s head. He couldn’t even prepare for it. I just hope the guy is OK. He could be really messed up and miss the rest of the season. Wouldn’t surprise me. That was a club on Gronks arm.
-
It’s better he was not ejected w 4 minutes to go in a meaningless ending. Makes it more likely he will be suspended for a meaningful game. It was after the whistle foul that probably resulted in White being concussed.
