Deshaun Watson prefers the Jets
zow2 replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
can’t imagine preferring to play in crappy northern New Jersey over Miami. -
Personally i thought the KC plan to run the ball down our throats in the first matchup served one unintended purpose. It allowed the Bills to hang around in a game they had no business hanging around in. The way Mahomes was easily escaping the pressure and his 80% completion%, they could've wnet down the field several times and put more points on the board. The running controlled the clock but shortened the game and didn't maximize their points. Of course, I don't think KC will use that game plan again. They are too smart. It's the AFC Championship. I expect them to be much more aggressive and go for more chunk plays to set up more scoring. For our side it's all up to Allen. He has to be on his game and into it. This can't be one of these hero ball games where's he's chucking it off his back foot, 8 feet over a guy's head into double coverage.

If Gabe cannot go, I don't think McDermott will play another WR that has not already taken live snaps for the Bills this season. I don't believe he trusts it. Maybe Kumerow would get the nod.

Mahomes is playing for sure. Maybe he will favor the foot a little bit but his arm and brain will be fine. I like the Bills chances but they really have a lot to overcome here. It's not talked about much...but this is KC's third straight AFC Championship game. They're not going to be nervous or tight. Our guys? I don't know, they've never been here.

Maybe so.. but not on your own side of midfield in the first half. That's just asking for trouble. My other theory on 4th downs though is don't try to string a few together on the same drive if the game is still relatively close. If you convert a 4th and 3 on the opponents 30...great. If it comes down to 4th and 3 on the opponents 23 a few plays later, kick the FG (unless it's late in the game and you HAVE to go for it).

Well, if Mahomes hits on 80% of his passes like last time the D is in for a long long day. They have to change something. Conversely the Bills offense acts like they are in 3rd and long on nearly every down. It has served them well with the most offensive production over a season in many years. But it can also lead to a massive offensive flameout when it doesn't work, like last week vs. Baltimore.

If that first one goes through the entire game is different: butterfly effect type thing. They go up 3-0, instead of us getting the ball there, Balt kicks off. The rest is history, no telling what happens. Taron Johnson is likely never in position for a pick six. Maybe our offense hits on a couple more plays. no telling...but it sure was amazing that he doinked em both.

Weather is the Bills kryptonite....
zow2 replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And Indy was the first team in playoff history to have 450+ yards and Zero turnovers... and lose the game. Hence why i feel like we are playing with house money this weekend. enjoy the ride. -
Weather is the Bills kryptonite....

I think it was after the San Fran game (in Arizona). Josh commented how great it felt ...the spin of the ball leaving his hand, and how much he was in a zone inside that stadium. At that moment i realized we are doomed in weather games. DOOMED!!!! -
Well, let's look at it this way. There's only 3 games left in the entire NFL football season...and we're in one of them! So that's pretty cool.

If Tampa beats GB before our game i’m going to feel really juiced up that something is in the air. For the last two months been thinking the whole destiny thing is going to direct us to beat Mahomes then beat our 20 year nemesis , Brady (on his field) to get where we want to go. Lol. i’m getting ahead of myself. Just Win Sunday!

Why this game will be different than week 6
zow2 replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Another thing i remember about the first matchup is that we didn’t touch Mahomes. I know he didn’t throw much but man, he had it easy. At least Cleveland got a few hits on him last week and made him eat grass. Frazier needs to find a way for his guys to get a hand on Mahomes. Their Oline dominated us badly. -
i certainly respect KC. but i like the fact the Bills faced adversity late vs Indy and struggled offensively vs Balt. They have not put together a great game yet. i’m feeling like the O is going to show up this week and the D has been playing well.

Apparently Paige Spiranac has jumped onto the Bills bandwagon

Nice.......form. -
Do you like the term “Bills Mafia”?
zow2 replied to Lionel Hutz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The term is fine...but I'm too old to associate with it for myself. I think of the teen-20 something set. Alot of the people donating money are Bills fans,,not "mafia" -
Allen... does he have the Jordan killer instinct?
zow2 replied to Negan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well, if he does...Josh will have a helluva game this weekend. -
I get that, BUT, KC used that method of keep-away against the Bills the first time around and it only served to keep Buffalo in the game. If Reid had chosen to throw a bunch and keep feeding Kelce, etc.. i think KC would've been up by alot more. They let us hang around. That's what methodical and running does.
-
The Bills are not gonna lean on a running game in this one, unless it's Josh on a few unscripted scrambles.. I think McD and Daboll know they will likely need 30 points to win this thing. Also, as the Colts showed us, you don't always need deep low% passes to get downfield. Indy got in the red zone quickly by throwing easy 10-12 yard passes and the occasional handoff. The game plans we used late in the season at Denver and at New England were great. The Bills threw 40 times in each game, lot's in the first half. They only ran a bunch because they were closing out the games in the 4th.

Not good, but they have a hurt Patrick Mahomes. We have a hurt Gabe Davis. i’d rather be us. We have 43 wide receivers on the club. If Gabe is really hurt they should activate one of the other guys
