I thought for sure the law of averages would catch up to Miami today. they’ve been winning with big defensive and ST plays, more so than offense. seems like they will just keep on winning. Maybe it’s just the year of the fish.
Disturbing that Poyer and Hyde were really not in great position to break that up. They were *there* but neither guy was in great position to block Hopkins’ hands from catching it. Only Tre had a real good shot and should’ve just swatted at the ball.
The NBC crew criticized Buffalo on the defensive call. said they should have been jamming the WR at the line, don’t just play 10 yards off and let them run full steam downfield.
We also got a gift (at least a small one) vs Rams on a PI call when Josh threw over Gabe’s head on 4th down. They easily could have not thrown a flag on that play. stuff evens up over the course of a season.
i feel bad for the DB’s at the end. That’s gotta be embarrassing on some level with your peers. and there are already internet memes showing Hopkins’ catch and making our guys look weak. this after all the Nosh Norman memes w/ Derrick Henry. I know it doesn’t mean much in the scheme of life but i just feel bad for em.
Just an absolute gut punch. but this is why we all watch sports and love it. there’s no script. this happens once maybe twice a season in the league and it was our turn to be victimized i guess. Just have to live with it and learn from it
I really thought Miami would lose to the Chargers (LA was due to win one and Miami was due to com back to earth)... guess i was wrong. they keep beating teams before we get to play them (ie. Cards, Chargers, Broncos?). i don’t like that
Ah man. i don’t even know if i can be mad. thought we lost that game three times earlier. Seems like you get one or two of these endings every NFL season.. we were the victims this year. bummer
