  1. I think I'm a little slow this morning... I was confused why Antoine Winfield was the leading vote-getter in Maine... ... Not that Dave Winfield makes much more sense, but he's at least a hall of famer. For Maine, though, I would think it would be something like Yaz or Teddy Ballgame.
  2. I don't see him getting a bigger deal in FA than 14 million for 2 years... He could get more years, but I'm saying that the per-anuium price wouldn't make sense to be anywhere near $7 million per, again. He would be entering the secondary phase of FA, As a 33 yer old. I think if we offered him a 3 year, $13 million deal, that should get it done, and always the option there to cut ties after every year, if age becomes an issue.
  3. I know it's not ideal to load up on +30 year old players, but I would like a signing of Mathis, and still take an OLman with at least 1 of our first 2 picks, so whoever we get doesn't have to go from starting for an ACC school to being relied on to learn a complex blocking scheme which could be the difference between our offense being successful and it being faulty.
  4. I'm glad you took care of this OP before I did, or I would have ended up with a warning point for sure haha... But I guess we don't understand the cap. This isn't MLB, if you trade a guy, you still have your signing bonus you signed him to, plus guaranteed money, that is stuck on your team. You're not just trading 17 million dollars for 15 million dollars. But hey, you and I, we don't understand things... Haha
  5. Ok, guy... I shouldn't even ... But, do you understand salary cap implications of trading a guy who is due probably about 25 million guaranteed... And you want to add a guy whose cap number is probably north of 10 million... And we have approx 5.5 million in order to fit him into... BRILLIANT IDEA.
  6. Not drinking straight JD, and breebasing in the men's room?? WE'RE DOOMED!!
  7. I don't know any of those players, but with them lol being defense, I would kinda feel like we should be looking to get ahold of the best OL we can, as it's currently our weakest position... Unless these players you listed are guys who you feel could be a serious asset to the team, and fill in talent gaps that present themselves when Kyle gets older, Mario leaves after a couple more seasons, and possibly Bradham leaves after this year.
  8. I don't understand this at all... What advantage would it be at all if they didn't know who would throw the ball, as long as they knew it were going to be thrown?
  9. Funny, almost exactly 1 year ago, I had the same idea for a thread, but not presented in a rediculous way... http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/166542-which-bills-could-switch-sides-of-the-ball/ I still definitely stand by Lawson to TE, as he could be a Mercedes Lewis type (if he had made the change younger... Too old, now). However, I changed my mind on the Cordy to NT, though. Maybe slimmed down to 315, he could play a 5-tech 3-4 DE, but after a somewhat unimpressive last year, I don't think he has the sheer brute strength to anchor down as NT. This may be a little cheap, as it doesn't necessarily involve SKILL, just sheer size combined with athleticism for that size, but I think it would be kinda cool to see Dareus in a very short yardage (2 yard line or less, or 3 or 4th down and less than 1 yard) RB, a la fridge Perry. You put a fullback ahead of him, to wall off anyone who might break free on cut it down in the backfield, and you tell me 1 guy on our team you would want to stand between him and the goal line and try to tackle, with a head of steam. Obviously with a greater usage role, the risk of injury increases, and he's more valuable to the D, so I'm not really too serious, but it would just be kinda cool to see... 5 times per year.
  10. Yuck, I hope he really IS literally Just Visiting. Looks sometimes overwhelmed as a pass blocker, not great enough as a run blocker to make up for it. Doesn't seem to have any skill at finding the next level to make a block, always ends up diving after the LB or DB, and he's out of the play.
  11. This clip just makes me think about how under utilized Spiller was, and how this is something we certainly could have done to take advantage of his open-field skills.
  12. The reasons you gave for us not needing him are likely the reasons we will end up with him... Can you tell I wasn't exactly a fan of Harvin and his 6 million dollars we just gave him?
  13. Santa Clara? Aren't they like 30 miles from SF, now? I've wanted to go to SF for a few years, now, sounds like a cool city.
  14. I don't know what the big deal is, he is better at his job than any of you are at yours. He was a decent RT for a couple years for us, and mistakenly got played in a position he wasn't as good at... And accepted the switch, to help the team, at his own detriment. And now is name is a laughing stock? Work hard in your life, and maybe, you'll only be 5x the "failure" he is, guys.
  15. God, I WISH, and not terribly far-fetched... And hopefully in this scenario, we see NE in Buffalo in a playoff game, and we ROLL them, 38-13, and start the end for them.
  16. Didn't we trade away our 5th and 7th to Minnesota for their 6th and Cassel? So that means we would have a 2nd, 3rd, and two 6ths remaining?
  17. I hope, for Fitz' sake, he does go to the Jets, to work with Gailey. Not for some snarky "cuz they suck, and I want to beat them easily 2x per year" yea son, but because I respect them both, as well as Spiller, and would like to see them have success in their career. That was a fun team to watch, with the screen game, and though I would NEVER root for the Jets, I would root for them 14 games per year.
  18. What crossed my mind, too. If this happened, I can already feel myself disliking the guy, which is completely unfair to the Powell. Fred is my favorite player ever, I will really miss having him on the team.
  19. ... And for the 10 millionth time... WHO EXACTLY IS THAT? Who is an available QB who can play, that their team doesn't want anymore, and would prefer to lose games without a QB instead? Do you think that with all the wild, aggressive moves the Bills have made the last 2 years, that "a QB that can play now" wouldn't have been #1 on their list? I believe that's why we brought in Kolb, Thad, Orton, and now Cassel, so they could play now, and the team doesn't rely on EJ's growing pains to dictate the team's success. THOSE WERE THE GUYS THAT WERE AVAILABLE, not pro bowlers.
  20. And N.O. Signed him for either 8.25 or 8.75 million per year, I believe.
  21. He wasn't drafted under Marrone, he was drafted in Gailey's 2nd season (draft), and Gailey preferred more athletic lineman who could get out on sweeps, but most importantly, screens.
  22. 2 sides, sitting across from eachother at the table, Bills side saying "C'MOOOOOOOOONNNNNNN........" And Hughes' agent shaking his head, and checking his watch. Repeat for 6 hours.
  23. Why wouldn't he want to be in Buffalo?? He didn't like having an all star defensive line playing ahead of him, playing in an attacking defense?? That's probably the most shocking part of this all.
