  1. It was indeed 4th and 3. Gotta kick the FG there because the run option won't be there.
  2. As I've said repeatedly, any conspiracy theory about favoring certain teams because of ratings potential that doesn't include the Cowboys is wrong. Outside of the northeast corridor sports media, there is far, far more enthusiasm for and interest in the Cowboys than any other team.
  3. We also drafted Ford as an OT and moved him inside too.
  4. I had my issues with the officiating and I believe it cost the Bills the game, but this is dumb conspiracy stuff (e.g., point spread arguments). Also, it wasn't third down when the PI called against Wallace happened; it was first and 10.
  5. Yep, and when your strategy for guard is moving failed tackles inside, that's doing it wrong.
  6. More on Rashaad Penny, who will be a FA this offseason: was a first round pick, has a career ypc of 5.1 on 204 carries, catches passes thrown to him 76 percent of the time, and has just one fumble (0.49 percent fumble rate). Not many tracks on his treads either, and he'll just be 26. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/P/PennRa00.htm Not expecting it every season is called sane realism.
  7. What about Rashard Penny? https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/12/14/pete-carroll-rashaad-penny-deserves-a-shot-to-show-he-can-be-a-starter/ He's going to be FA this offseason and clearly has talent (he was a first round pick). He has been a disappointment in Seattle, but maybe a change of scenery will get him going?
  8. Singletary's average is 4.9, which is 8th in the NFL and 5th among running backs. He's a pretty solid player.
  9. My guess is that if they didn't value guard before, they do now.
  10. Don't forget to include the sacks in the total count of pass plays.
  11. We have no idea what would have happened to Etienne if became a Bill. Maybe he never gets injured. It would have been an entirely different situation with entirely different variables.
  12. Disagree. He just hasn’t won games in crunch time. That’s why they are 7-6. He is still a phenomenal, elite player, but to win an MVP, you have to be a closer. He is 0-4 in closer situations this year.
  13. Singletary is 8th too! 1.Josh Allen • BUF6.1 2.Lamar Jackson • BAL5.8 3.Jalen Hurts • PHI5.7 4.Tony Pollard • DAL5.6 Jonathan Taylor • IND5.6 6.Nick Chubb • CLE5.5 7.Miles Sanders • PHI5.2 8.Dalvin Cook • MIN4.9 Devin Singletary • BUF4.9 10.James Robinson • JAX4.8 Javonte Williams • DEN4.8
  14. With around 30 seconds left. Plenty of time.
  15. They called the Bills twice for defensive holding and once for twice for PI. The two holds were nullified by offsetting penalties. The PI against Jackson was close to a really good play by him but he got his arm around Gronkowski and it was a fair call. I have my doubts, however, that that would have been called against a Tampa DB.
  16. I personally think it COULD have been called DPI and obviously would have preferred that outcome. But the fact of the matter is that the league lets players fight it out on those last-second red zone plays unless the PI is really bad. The call on Wallace vs Evans, however, was about as bad of a call as you'll see. Evans literally pulls Wallace towards him and prevents Wallace from turning his head and making a play on the ball.
  17. You're running the wrong scheme if you're having a LB cover arguably the fastest player in the league (4.25 40 time; one scout timed him at 4.19). McDermott and Frazier aren't stupid. There was a breakdown.
  18. Agreed. My one question is who had responsibility for Perriman. It appears it wasn't Edmunds, who was apparently supposed to hand him off to a DB. That makes sense because you don't cover a WR with a LB.
  19. Because they tried to get it wrong. The officials hated the new PI review rule and basically did the equivalent of a work slowdown at the behest of the incompetent Al Riveron.
  20. I didn’t say it wasn’t a possible penalty. I said that if Diggs remained focused on his job instead of barking at the defender, that’s probably six and at least three.
  21. He was literally yelling at the defender mid-play. Then he was free and lost despite the ball being right there for him.
  22. People have to realize that unless the db is beaten — and the DB most definitely wasn’t beaten on that play — they are going to let them play in that situation. They are gonna let the go at it one on one with the best man winning. Christ, save your tears for the much worse call that cost the Bills the game — the DPI on on Wallace, which absolutely cost them the game.
  23. Instead of posting screen shots, post the whole play. diggs was being extremely physical too.
  24. You mean the DB looking back for the ball, Diggs grabbing him, and the defender grabbing him in response in good coverage? That ain’t ever gonna be called with the game on the line. Mano y mano wiht hand fighting allowed — Best man wins. Bills fans, stop being p*ssies. Christ.
  25. First one: yes, should have been called. But if diggs doesn’t turn around to chastise the defender, he catches that and scores. Final one: that screen sheet literally shows nothing because it doesn’t show what diggs did at at the top of the route (play rough and commit borderline OPI). The one that’ll stick is the Evans/Wallace play. Just horrific officiating.
