“Legends” awarded F&B contract for the new stadium
ndirish1978 replied to LabattBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall
You know people and I empathize with your friendship. I don't think most people here will be sad to see that particular company out of the stadium. When I've had to occasion to see games in person I have been incredibly unimpressed with the food offerings. Having been to other stadiums around the country, I can safely say concessions at Highmark are bottom 5 in places I've been. I have heard it alleged that the same company does better in other places, which is odd. You'd think a buffalo-based company would do its best to make the local team its standard for good service. Seems like a self-inflicted failure. You want to see a nearby product that has tons of local pride - look at Wegmans - they are too good to be displaced. -
Spags, happy to hear your work-release is allowing you to use computers again. You ever gonna start rooting for a New York team or are you always gonna root for those Jersey bums? When Aaron emerges from his next hippy darkness retreat please let him know of your yearly tradition of getting your shinebox and making my wingtips look their best, maybe he can come with you!

What does our O-Line look like now?
ndirish1978 replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is why I think they need another vet. So much depends on the Oline. DE and MLB are holes, but all that means is we're going to have to put up points. Hard to have major holes on both sides of the ball. Wish they had done more to fix the OL so our problems on D could be minimized. -
The Battle of a lifetime: Klein, Spector, Dodson, Bernard, Williams
ndirish1978 replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'll step in: Your idea is wrong and has been refuted multiple times by direct answers from both the coach and GM. To continue to push this is funny. -

RT looks BAD -
I don't judge him. He probably got the most he could from the one team who would take the player he knew would weaken a division opponent.

Beane: “working on at least 2 veteran UFA’s”
ndirish1978 replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
Justin Houston, that's the one that I want. We really really need someone else at DE. -
Are we more deserving of the SB hype this year than last?
ndirish1978 replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agreed. But I can still feel positive about the team without being a SB favorite. In fact, I prefer it. -
We need a real life, live Buffalo pregame
ndirish1978 replied to Snappysnackcakes's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'd have a real problem with someone having to domesticate a wild animal just so we can trot him out for fans. -
This is not a bad idea.

1. He puts the Jets above the Dolphins 2. No, we have 2 top tier QBs, 1 mid tier and a scrub. AFC North is better, AFC West could better 3. Jets 4. None 5. Ask in 3 years

Stadium Construction Discussion (No PSL/Seat selection posts)
ndirish1978 replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall
Excited that this is finally breaking ground soon. -
You started this thread on a topic that has already been asked and answered and presented it as a new idea when it's a tired retread. There is no discussion to be had, but it does show your lack of awareness of the multiple interviews crapping on your idea. You doubling down by attempting to attack multiple people who tell you this subject is moot is a little sad. The retread topic is made no more special because you decided it was your original idea.
-
There is no need to hear you out. This question has been asked and answered by the media to the coaches and GM multiple times and has been shut down by both parties repeatedly. McBeane have ALREADY TOLD US multiple times who will be competing for MLB.

ndirish1978 replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
The media loves to pick a darling and then immediately move on to the next and dump the old team if they fail. I've been seeing most people hop off the bandwagon and listing us between 4-5 in the conference and a lot of people saying we might not even win the division. If Rogers wins a couple games to start the season be prepared for everyone to slobber all over the Jets and pick them to win the division. -

ndirish1978 replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't think we deserved the hype last year with a rookie OC. I wasn't impressed with Dorsey either. Our success on offense was too reliant on asking Josh to put the team on his back. Our D is weak sauce at MLB and DE without Von. I don't trust our RT. We have a tougher schedule both in and out of the division. I think we are a good team, but I don't think SB hype is warranted preseason. Gonna need to see how everything comes together the first 4-5 games before I set any expectations this year. If we come out and start smashing people running 12 personnel I'm all aboard the hype train. -
I've considered it a poor pick since it was made. They love throwing 2-3 mid-level players at a position and seeing who stinks the least.

Will DeAndre Hopkins be available this offseason?
ndirish1978 replied to NeverOutNick's topic in The Stadium Wall
I found this to be an interesting convo about "types of GMs you have to deal with." Not saying this is Osenforte, but it's interesting to see other teams we don't seem to do business with. -

Discussion around 17 min mark. Dhop is not happening. -
You've made that abundantly clear in multiple threads. I disagree. This thread is also about Poona, not Oliver.
-
We absolutely could sign him and keep Oliver, depending on how much he costs we would just need to restructure Tre White, Dawkins and if we need a little more, re-sign Daquan Jones. We can also sign FAs to multi-year deals with void years to make their cap hits lower this year or just outright sign them for a mult-year contract. I think Ngakoue is probably a little rich for Beane's tastes though, I would be looking more at Houston or Clark.
-
His value to us is higher than his trade value in the last year of his deal, pretty straightforward. There is also the very realistic possibility that they HAVE offered him an extension and he is looking for more money. Just because we haven't heard anything doesn't mean you should make assumptions.
-
We have plenty of ways to create cap space without making the Dline worse.
-
They also were forced to play him at DE, which isn't his position, due to injuries.
-
Cardinals refuse to eat any of his money. They told him they would only trade him if he agreed to take a pay cut. There is NO reason for a 31 year old WR to take a pay cut. He is back in AZ to earn his money and I don't blame him for it. Because it's what he wants and that's literally it. If we signed a punter he would be saying it was a precursor to shedding salary to sign Nuk.
