  1. I like Keanu Benton, Gervon Dexter and Zach Pickens, in the 2nd - 4th
  2. Rapp would likely be the extra DB in on Dime packages
  3. Horrible take, really enjoyed it though. You earned that puke emoji.
  4. So, this is the first time I've encountered such a crazy glitch, lol. You guys wanted Offense, so...
  5. You're constructing a narrative and really butchering numbers to back up what you want to happen. Almost nothing in the above post is factually correct. If you want to present a real argument I'd be happy to listen to it, but the above is just hogwash. You do realize that the draft doesn't really cost more than 3-5 because the later rounds don't slot in as top 51 salaries right? Practice squad players only count against the cap if they slot in the top 51, these guys are making 200k, you're just cutting 10M because it supports what you want, there is no 10M allocated for the draft "and practice squad." You can sign 2 of the above listed players and set the guaranteed money to minimize cap hits with the cap as is. Please link any article stating Hopkins is currently or plans to be a malcontent? Wanting to leave and poisoning a team are two completely different things. I understand you want him on this team, I do too. But your posts boil down to wishful thinking and a lack of actual facts.
  6. They need cap savings in the form of cutting their WR1 why? They have 20M in cap space they aren't spending as is. They currently have the 8th most cap space in the league. The only reason to move him is to pick up some draft capital if you want to reboot.
  7. This is coming from Hopkins or a suitor trying to put pressure on the Cardinals - except they don't have to trade him if they don't want to. Doesn't make much sense to think they will release him, just to eat the dead cap for fun. The Card's rookie GM could have shed some cap and picked up a mid round pick if he wanted to, but decided he'd rather dig in for an unrealistic trade haul so he could look cool. If the Cards don't eat some cap and accept less trade compensation before the draft, they probably just keep him. He's under contract for 2 more years anyway.
  8. We signed 2 guards and expect one of them to be a starter IMO. I'd pick up an OT early, but I don't think the Bills are interested in replacing Brown with an early pick. Personally, I would like to take a RT in Rd 1 so I hope I'm wrong, but we've seen Beane waste years waiting for Ford to pan out at any position before quitting on him. JSN would be great in rd 1, but he and Bijan aren't dropping, so the best you could do for offense early is pick up a TE2 without completely overdrafting someone. That's not exactly amazing value since we just extended Knox. I'd be super happy to draft one of the top 2 TEs, which I expect to be gone when we pick and run a bunch of 12 personnel, We have no DTs signed past this season and a rather big question mark at MLB + the value is there are those positions in the 1st 2 rds. Beane has drafted D in the first rd pretty much exclusively with the exception of Josh. Even if we draft a rd 2 or 3 receiver - McDermott is too conservative to play them over vets. I think there is a real argument to be made that the 1st 2 rds are likely to be D unless someone unexpectedly falls in our laps.
  9. I would have liked to have picked an OT Day 2 + for this one but the value was never there. I think Smith is an instant upgrade for a DL rotation that doesn't have a single player signed beyond this year. If we look at our cap situation and Beane's stated preference to replace high-priced vets with cheaper rookie contracts, I think this is it. Smith and Campbell are my instant impact players and I think Foskey is DE3 immediately. The rest are my preference at each position I think is a need.
  10. He was on the team at the end of last year, he wouldn't count against the comp pick formula.
  11. Draft, Beane has always said you have to be able to rely on cheap labor through the draft.
  12. Happy to eat crow if I'm wrong, but I would be surprised if this gets done anytime soon, or even at all.
  13. Drew Sanders is 6'5 235, not a Milano-type. Sewell is more athletically limited than I would like.
